I will be shadowing at the vet 3 days a week, but only until 1pm. On those days I am free in the afternoon to check on your pets! Most weekends, along with days I am not doing that, I can set aside time to come see your pets:)

A typical day
Again, I will do whatever your pet is used to! Whether that’s a long or short walk, chilling on the couch, doing training exercises, playing in the yard, etc.

Pet care experience
I’ve been walking dogs and doing check ins for family pets since middle school! I am currently a pre-vet student at JMU, but I spend my summers home in Earlysville. I would say this has been a “serious” job of mine since I started highschool. I’ve spent a few days a week for the past few summers pet sitting. I’m new to the app because I’ve been so lucky to have a lot of regular clients, and was then recommended to their friends. I’m just trying to expand my client pool as much as possible:) I have 3 dogs of my own, and one of them lives with me in my college apartment. I’ve had dogs all my life, but I also currently shadow at a vets office, work with the animal health team at the RHSPCA, and volunteer at the VA wildlife center. I absolutely love all animals and would be thrilled to meet new furry friends!

Shaylee has been taking care of our pets for many years. We currently have a dog and a cat, but in the past we had an elderly cat, chinchillas and a gerbil. Shaylee has been great with walks, medications, anxiety help for our anxious dog, and reliable care when we are on vacation. I highly recommend her for all of your pet needs.

Whenever we travel, we have complete peace of mind knowing that our cat is in her care. During each visit, Shaylee makes sure our cat is fed, has fresh water, and receives plenty of attention and affection. It's obvious that she genuinely loves animals and treats them with patience, kindness, and care. She is also dependable and communicative, and she sends photos and text updates while we're away, which gives us added peace of mind. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Shaylee and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter! Your pets will be in excellent hands with her.
Shaylee went above and beyond in caring for my pets while I was away for work. She made sure they stayed clean and dry while we had several days in a row of rain. She provided great feedback every day, ensuring I knew my fur friends were in good hands. She even took extra time to check in on my chickens and make sure they had shelter from the weather. I am so thankful to have such a great person available to look after my animals!
