About: Hello! My name is Arica. I have been taking care of pets for many years. I love animals, especially dogs. I don’t have any kids and most of my time is spent at home. I do have a job but it is all remote and I can control the days and hours I work. I will treat your fur babies like my own and will make sure your house is looking as good as you left it. About: I can use any training tools you use on walks to continue their training. I can take your pup for a run if they have extra energy they need to burn too! I have a part time job allowing me time to walk your furry friend most afternoons/evenings with the occasional morning or weekend walk if needed! I have a dog if your pup wants a friend on their walk or if they need a solo walk that works too! I stay within your neighborhood so we are never far from home keeping the doggies calmer.

About: I’ve been involved in pet care the entirety of my adulthood. From big sled dogs to frenchies and more, I’ve played along with more than I can say. Experienced specifically with large breed dogs and small to medium reactive dogs. I work almost full time at a local doggy daycare. If your pet is a client there I’m happy to be flexible about drop off and pick up from there. I have varying flexibility throughout the week. Friday is the day I’m least available. I offer primarily drop in visits and walks. Well mannered dogs may walk with myself and my friendly, female dog. Others may get a little more one on one time if uncomfortable with other dogs.

“Izabella was so great with coco. I had a last minute request when her longtime caregiver could no longer care for her. I had set up care through another person on rover and they cancelled which left me just two days to find someone. Izabella sent me her work hours so I could coordinate drop ins and walks to work with cocos schedule. She came the next day for a meet and greet. While I was away she gave great photos and updates. She even offered to take out the trash and put some salt down. She offered an additional check in if needed the day we were coming back which was wonderful since our plane got delayed. About: Has to be able to get along with other dogs if being brought to my home. It’s fine if dogs or cats need special care I am going to give them my all and make sure they enjoy there time so they come back, all animals are welcome and loved with me. About: I’ve grew up around horses,dogs,chickens,cats, fish, you name it. I’ve got loads of experience with all kinds of animals, and I’m prepared to care for yours. I’m working part time at the moment so I have pretty good availability. Making an arrangement a day or two in advance would be best with me! I will care for all animals as if they were my own. I will take per caution of summer’s temperatures and pavement temperatures as well as making sure animals have fresh water when finished!

About: Hi, I’m Kaitlyn! I have experience regularly caring for different types of animals since I was about 13 years old. I used to volunteer at my local animal shelter before moving to Kalamazoo and have lots of experience with different breeds of dogs of various sizes, ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I also have experience with dogs with different temperaments from extremely timid to extremely outgoing and hyper as well as ample experience with reactive dogs. I’m currently a student at Western Michigan University and I also work part time as a server. My schedule is pretty flexible and I should be able to accommodate most requests. I treat your fur baby like they are my own! I’m very attentive and can continuously update you with pictures/videos so you can feel completely confident that your pet is in good hands!

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've been lucky to parent dogs, cats, and horses, including two retired racing Greyhounds and a tuxedo cat who made me a certified cat person. Beyond my own, I've been caring for pets professionally (i.e., beyond friends and family) for more than 15 years, and after taking some time away while completing my PhD and living abroad, I'm excited to be back doing something I've always loved. In 2011, I started walking pups professionally in Chicago as a side gig during my breaks from tour managing for a band, which quickly turned into my dog-walking clients asking me to stay in their home with their pets while they were away. Over the span of just a few years, I built relationships with more than 30 clients, with most of them turning into repeat (and repeat and repeat!) clients. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes and everything in between. I've also worked with many pets that required extra patience or specialized care. I've cared for senior pets, dogs < 1yo, a blind Australian Cattle Dog, a deaf cat, highly anxious and stranger-wary dogs, VERY stranger-wary cats, a Beagle with a seizure disorder, and pets receiving medication. I've also been the go-to sitter for a couple of families going through difficult times with their critters, including caring for their pets with terminal illnesses during their final days (both a black lab named Maggie and the sweetest deaf black cat named Sam) . Over the years, I've handled a few very unexpected situations as well. Whether it's a medical event requiring an unexpected trip to the veterinarian or even arriving to a cat drop-in visit to find that the apartment had experienced a break-in (in my Chicago days, which included working with police and gathering the terrified cats from the apartment stairwell), I've stayed calm, communicated clearly, and focused on keeping the critters safe and the clients informed. There have also been several occasions where I've extended my stay last-minute due to a client's canceled flight or interrupted travel plans. One of the biggest differences between my prior pet sitting days and now is my flexibility due to my remote work. When I pet sat extensively throughout Chicago, my tour managing days had ended and I worked a full-time 9-5 downtown. This was fine for my clients, as they had a similar schedule. But I now work fully remotely, so I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to spend much more time with your pets throughout the day than I could years ago. I essentially do my best to work around your pet's normal routine. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or midday visits whenever possible. My goal is to make life feel as normal and stress-free as possible for your pets while you're away. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd expect someone to show mine, as I've also hired pet sitters over the years for my own critters. I follow your instructions (the more the better!), keep you updated with photos (lots!) and messages, and make sure your pets receive the same routines, rules, and attention they're used to (e.g., their feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company).

About: Devoted and die-hard dog Momma over here! I have a Muttley crew of dogs including Labrador Retrievers and Pitt Bull mixes. My pack includes senior aged dogs through to young dogs. I have dedicated the last couple years to fostering dogs and absolutely fallen in love pivoting my world in the direction of companion pets. I have also worked at a local doggie daycare and volunteer often with my dogs as control dogs in a local dog training group's reactive rover class. I currently work part time in a local dog park as well. Needless to say, I encounter all types of dogs throughout my day and love learning their unique personalities. I have studied dogs at length with my personal pack, in training classes, with my dog centered jobs, and I continue to enjoy deep discussions on dog body language to learn even more! Dogs are fascinating animals to me, and I adore learning more to better communicate with them. I have a flexible schedule currently. I work part time at a local dog park in the afternoons during the week, and volunteer by fostering dogs. I have a fenced in yard and friendly dogs at home that are social and enjoy playing with new pups, proven with the foster pups I bring home. My pack is excellent communicators with other dogs and help draw out shy dogs and teach them how to dog. Dogs are welcome on the furniture (couch and bed) in my home. New dogs through foster or dog sitting sleep in a crate for naps during the day and at night out of an abundance of caution for safety.

About: As a young female I have cared for many family pets, so I’ve experienced every stage from puppies to seniors. I provide reliable, structured care whether it’s keeping dogs active with frequent neighborhood walks, taking a nap with them, or just coming to check up on your furbaby if that’s all you need! I currently work about 15 hours a week so I should have plenty of time to give your dog the care he or she needs! I don’t mind sitting during the day or night whatever would make you know your pet is safe. Whether in your home or mine, I like to maintain constant supervision and ensure all dogs will be okay. I use sturdy leashes for every walk and stay highly alert to our surroundings to avoid any high stress interactions with other animals or people for those sensitive dogs. I also like to make sure your animal eats and feel comfortable enough to make sure they get the proper nutrition.
