About: I've rescued and fostered many dogs & cats. I'm a volunteer for a wildlife rescue and care for all animals. I treat your furbaby like my own. I've never had an animal escape or get hurt on my watch. I am self employed and work from home so I give my pets all of my time. I do not crate my dogs however I have an extra large crate TV stand in case I needed to. My home is designed around animals to make life easy and functional. I own my home, its a ranch home. There is one step in front and 3 to go out the back door. If your dog doesn't do well with steps, we can go out the front. We have a half acre yard in a wooded residential area that is completely fenced in. We are outdoors all the time and when my pets go out, I'm out there with them. I would care for your dogs the same way when in my home. My cats and dogs, co exist together great and my dogs love other dogs! My dogs have lived with fosters and foster fails! Pets are allowed on the furniture but not on my bed. In the event they wanted to sleep with my dogs in my room that would just fine. We have plenty of room and dog crates if we needed to crate them also.

“Karen is always great with Ivy. Ivy is well taken care of and loves going to daycare there because of Karen's loving nature. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a sitter.”

“Rachelle is awesome! She really cares for my dogs needs and knows how to handle her reactivity to other dogs. She read the long list I gave her of info on our dog and sent multiple updates during the day. And she was able to handle my dogs quirky behavior really well (a mini dachshund). I really recommend Rachelle if you want ur dog to have more individualized care than just a boarding kennel. And Rachelle is really nice as well. I’ll be coming back for sure when we go out of town!”

“Paige was absolutely amazing! From the moment we dropped off our pup, we felt confident that she was in great hands. Paige has a wonderful, open space where the dogs can safely run and play, and she kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. It gave us such peace of mind to see how happy and well cared for our dog was. We’re so pleased with the experience that we’ve already booked with her again. We highly recommend Paige to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter!”

“Jen & Rob took such great care of my dog for day care weekly. He always came home happy, healthy, and exhausted (thank god, he is a high energy Aussie and needed to expel that energy!). Thank you, Jen & Rob for being a safe place for me to bring my dog!”

“Poppy had a great daycare with Maria and Beanie! Maria sent updates with photos and is great with communication regarding services and care. Highly recommend and will be scheduling another visit soon :)”
About: Hello! I’m a Part-Time working Momma and we love animals! I have grown to enjoy dogs mostly. I’ve had a pet dog for a great amount of my life as well as other animals like rabbits, fish and snakes! Size or age doesn't matter, they are all fun. I love their energy and seeing how they interact with loved ones. I frequently help out family members with their dogs which includes bathing, walking, picking up their food and medicine. Taking trips or “car rides” are also a fav’ we partake in. Dogs are truly a pleasure to have and I would love the opportunity to provide care to your fur baby! I have open availability now and have one kiddo! We are up pretty early for school/sports and events so I am pretty flexible with boarding/scheduling! I have a fenced in backyard with lots of space to run and play. I also have a finished basement for those that are potty trained.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of different kinds since I could remember. Friends, Family, neighbors have all relied on me to walk, bathe, and feeds their pets. I’m currently working part time but I’ll still have time to play with your fur baby anytime just shoot me a message and we could make it work any day turn the week or month. I also take future booking if you need a dog sitter/house sitter in a couple months or so as well. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company and I can crate your dog if it is needed
“We had some rocky communication difficulties in the beginning due to the app, but aside from that everything was great! Shanikka took great care of Daphne and sent me many photos and updates throughout the day. It was hard for me to find someone who was willing and able to watch such a young puppy and I’m very appreciative of Shanikka and her family. I will definitely be booking again in the future!”
About: I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds since I was young, and I have 15+ years of hands-on experience. I’m professionally trained as an Animal Care Technician, which means I’m skilled in bathing, feeding, exercising, medicating, monitoring behavior, and providing safe handling. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs. Your pet will be treated like family and kept safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away! I work part-time while also attending school part-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m able to care for pups between classes, as well as before and after. I’m also completely free on the weekends, so your pet will always get the attention and time they need! Your pup will enjoy plenty of safe walks, enrichment, and positive social experiences. I can crate your dog if needed, and I always follow your preferred routines. My priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved the entire time they’re with me.
About: I have fostered over 50 animals the past two and half years. Puppies, adult dogs kittens and cats. I have tons of experience with house training and crate training puppies. I volunteer at our local animal shelter weekly and have developed a strong bond with the rescue community. I also have experience administering medication. During the past two years I have met many animals , all with a different type of personality. I have been able to adapt and learn how to handle each unique personality. My time as a foster and shelter volunteer has really showed me what my true passion is! My schedule is very flexible and I'm usually able to accommodate last minute requests. Unless I have another client , my schedule is almost always open. I volunteer at the shelters on Tuesday mornings but I can always rearrange my volunteer days. My home is fenced in and I have crates for my own dogs, also extra crates for your dogs. My dogs have multiple play styles so I can adapt to just about any personality. I only ask that if your dogs are boarding in my home they are animal and kid friendly. If you're nervous about your dogs being around dogs you don't know, I understand. I can easily rotate the dogs time so they never even have to interact, as I have baby gates to keep them separated. I have a big fenced in yard so your dog will get plenty of play time. If you want boarding in your home I can do that too. I can provide plenty of love and play for them. Whatever you are comfortable with in your home just let me know! I also always will send tons of pictures. If you have puppies I can absolutely help with potty and also crate training if they aren't crate trained yet.
About: When Covid started, I accidentally started my business by helping a couple people who adopted dogs outside of their care knowledge. Helping them with their working class dogs (pitbull, collie, and a GSP) and establish a better owner/pet relationship made me realize that this is the right move for my future. Since then I have started my own business as well as helping others with their new family member(s). No creature is too small or large for me. My smallest dog client is 3 pounds and the largest is 215. Aside from that I have expanded my practices with lizards, snakes, cats, and birds. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime! I am home most of the day. I do part-time work in hospice as well as part-time classes; (I have a door bachelors degree already working towards a BSN). If you have a special needs animal, I am more than happy to comply with their schedule, I just need to know in advance as much as possible. I have a fenced in yard in the back (will have a fully fenced in yard by the end of August in the front). My dogs have a semi strict schedule of activities to keep them mentally/physically stimulated. I follow suit with everybody’s dog. Everybody eats in their own crate, is provided with soft bedding to sleep on in their own crate, but exercise thoroughly throughout the day.
“Jenny and her family were amazing!! They took care of my dog like he was their own. He had so much fun and didn’t want to leave. Jenny also sent me awesome pictures of all the fun he was having. Thank you so much!”

About: Early 40’s year old sitter/walker with car still building reviews. You could say I have 40+ years of experience. My family had a German Shepherd from before I was born and I was very close to her. There has been a stream of pets in my family. Including so so so many cats in NYC. Even going so far as to “rescue” a half feral one. Currently, I share ownership of a dog. As a small business owner of over 10 years, I am able to have a flexible schedule and spend more time hanging out with your pet(s). I can follow their diet and pet or play or brush their hair. As long as you give me a list or schedule, I'll do my best to provide it. I have extensive experience with pets at all stages of life. (As well as other kinds of pets which I am open to caring for.) I am extremely comfortable and unbothered by any dogs or cats. I understand the care required for a wide variety of needs including providing reinforcement on current training. I can reinforce sit, lay down, paw, stay, heel, rollover, or anything else. I can administer medicine with ease for even very giant unruly pets. I am not formally trained in pet CPR, but I am trained in human CPR and have looked at videos for pet CPR. When I was younger I worked as a lifeguard, and have a remarkable natural ability to stay calm and act fast in crisis situations. This comes in handy, for example: when protecting my maltipoo from other dogs, managing territorial behavior, or keeping one dog out of another dog’s bowl. For day boarding, they will stay in the upstairs of a carriage house, where I work in the other room. I have a large yard and can provide leashed walks or yard time as well as photos for you. I am working on getting a camera setup for the boarding room and the yard. My schedule is flexible and I have a car. I have a small business and partial responsibility of my dog, so I do need to be able to run errands, go to meetings, or check in at home to keep that part of my life running. For extended care, and distance further than 5 miles, I prefer be given the option to stay over at clients for the sake of gas costs, time, and energy. First meeting and approach are important to setting a precedent, I first see if the pet will approach me. I like to offer my hand palm down for them to smell. Sometimes it takes a few times smelling the hand before they feel comfortable letting me pet them. In my opinion it’s important not to mess up first impressions with the pet. Spending time together builds familiarity bonds, being attentive builds trust. It’s important to build rapport.
Northside dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rachelle was wonderful to work with! She was available and offered flexibility for our needs with having our boy Cooper watched while in town to see family. She took time to connect before the meeting to ensure a plan was in place, offered a safe environment for Cooper, and was very responsive. We plan to work with Rachelle in the future!

Yusef was amazing! My husband and I had to come to Ohio for a funeral and needed someone last minute to watch our dog, Flex. Yusef was kind, flexible, and took Flex out for a fun day, which gave us so much peace of mind. He turned a very stressful day into something easier by caring for Flex as if he were his own. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend Yusef to anyone in need of a thoughtful, reliable sitter.
