“Jen & Rob took such great care of my dog for day care weekly. He always came home happy, healthy, and exhausted (thank god, he is a high energy Aussie and needed to expel that energy!). Thank you, Jen & Rob for being a safe place for me to bring my dog!”

“Jenny and her family were amazing!! They took care of my dog like he was their own. He had so much fun and didn’t want to leave. Jenny also sent me awesome pictures of all the fun he was having. Thank you so much!”

“Thank you, Ryan, for taking good care of Kona today! He had a great time hanging out with him today and will definitely look again next time we're in neighborhood!”

About: I've had a dog since the day I was born when my parents were given a beagle puppy as a wedding gift. I'm partial to beagles for that reason, but love all breads. Being retired, I'm especially fond of my senior pups, but equally enthused with little pups. I am retired and able to be flexible with my schedule. Your pet will not go unattended in my care. Several parks are within easy walking distance. I have a corner lot, completely fenced in a quiet neighborhood without a through drive. No speedy cars or traffic. Conveniently located near several parks.
“Poppy had a great daycare with Maria and Beanie! Maria sent updates with photos and is great with communication regarding services and care. Highly recommend and will be scheduling another visit soon :)”
“Jonathan was super responsive and willing to do a meet and greet with us. Our dog can be nervous around bigger dogs, so this was really helpful. We were able to do a short 3-hour daycare soon after and really appreciated all of the updates that Jonathan shared throughout Penny's visit. Thanks, Jonathan!”

About: I have been actively involved in training and caring for my parents’ dog since 2020 and regularly pet-sit for their Border Collie and cat when they are out of town. I also frequently care for my sister’s two Australian Shepherds and have looked after them for months at a time while she travels. In addition to my pet-care experience, I nannied children ranging from 9 months to 7 years old throughout college, which strengthened my ability to manage multiple responsibilities, stay calm under pressure, and respond effectively in unexpected situations. I am confident in my ability to safely manage pets, maintain routines, and handle emergencies with care and professionalism. I am currently in my final year of law school, and I bring the same reliability, attentiveness, and responsibility to caregiving that I do to my academic and professional commitments. Pet care fits into my routine as a law student with a flexible schedule. Outside of classes, I prioritize caring for pets and enjoy building it into my day. I currently have ample availability to play with, walk, and care for pets without rushing. I am available for boarding on weekends and for weekday care on Wednesdays and Fridays at any time or Mondays before 2:00pm. I take safety, trust, and consistency very seriously in both my home and my clients’ homes. I carefully follow all provided instructions regarding feeding, routines, medications, and behavior. I maintain a clean, calm environment, supervise pets closely, and use positive reinforcement. I am attentive to signs of stress or illness and communicate promptly with owners. While I do not have a yard, I live very close to Ault Park and love to walk dogs there.
“Dottie goes to Emma’s all day, 3 days a week and just loves it! She gets so excited as soon as we pull in the driveway! Emma is responsive, helpful, kind, gentle and great with my little dog!”

“Ryan was wonderful with my two dachshunds. Boarded them during the day while we had workers installing new carpet. Sent pics and videos so I had no worries. They came home tired and happy. Would hire Ryan again.”

“Akita is professional, very responsive and amazing! My fur baby felt at home immediately. He even ate his food which he never does when he’s away from home. She was so accommodating and did such a wonderful job taking him on plenty of walks and potty breaks! He was so excited for day 2 daycare. I’m so happy I found a forever sitter for my baby! Thank you Akita!”

About: I’ve grown up with a variety of dogs, and have had 2 dogs on my own since moving out of my family home. I have taken care of senior dogs and am currently starting over with a puppy. I am training my puppy now, so I am able to help with basic training techniques. I currently work from home 2 days a week and have a dog walker stop by on the days I am in the office (for any overnight stays). I normally do 3-4 walks with my pup already and love playing fetch in the backyard or taking to an open space to run for off leash trained dogs. I have a decent size back yard that is fenced in on 3 sides, I normally let my dog run with his leash on while I’m out back with him. I have a puppy who loves to play who can keep your dog company while here. Dogs are allowed to free roam the house at all times (if potty trained) and will get plenty of walks/playtime while here. I can crate if needed.
About: Early 40’s year old sitter/walker with car still building reviews. You could say I have 40+ years of experience. My family had a German Shepherd from before I was born and I was very close to her. There has been a stream of pets in my family. Including so so so many cats in NYC. Even going so far as to “rescue” a half feral one. Currently, I share ownership of a dog. As a small business owner of over 10 years, I am able to have a flexible schedule and spend more time hanging out with your pet(s). I can follow their diet and pet or play or brush their hair. As long as you give me a list or schedule, I'll do my best to provide it. I have extensive experience with pets at all stages of life. (As well as other kinds of pets which I am open to caring for.) I am extremely comfortable and unbothered by any dogs or cats. I understand the care required for a wide variety of needs including providing reinforcement on current training. I can reinforce sit, lay down, paw, stay, heel, rollover, or anything else. I can administer medicine with ease for even very giant unruly pets. I am not formally trained in pet CPR, but I am trained in human CPR and have looked at videos for pet CPR. When I was younger I worked as a lifeguard, and have a remarkable natural ability to stay calm and act fast in crisis situations. This comes in handy, for example: when protecting my maltipoo from other dogs, managing territorial behavior, or keeping one dog out of another dog’s bowl. For day boarding, they will stay in the upstairs of a carriage house, where I work in the other room. I have a large yard and can provide leashed walks or yard time as well as photos for you. I am working on getting a camera setup for the boarding room and the yard. My schedule is flexible and I have a car. I have a small business and partial responsibility of my dog, so I do need to be able to run errands, go to meetings, or check in at home to keep that part of my life running. For extended care, and distance further than 5 miles, I prefer be given the option to stay over at clients for the sake of gas costs, time, and energy. First meeting and approach are important to setting a precedent, I first see if the pet will approach me. I like to offer my hand palm down for them to smell. Sometimes it takes a few times smelling the hand before they feel comfortable letting me pet them. In my opinion it’s important not to mess up first impressions with the pet. Spending time together builds familiarity bonds, being attentive builds trust. It’s important to build rapport.
“Lisa and John were great! It was a very last-minute booking and they were incredibly accommodating. I felt very comfortable from the jump leaving Lola with them. They helped her get adjusted and she came home absolutely wiped! I will definitely be booking again.”

“Amanda was great! She was responsive and communicative and made us feel comfortable leaving our pug with her for the day. She provided several updates and some cute photos. She offered to let us see the space and to meet the other dogs she was watching prior to the official sit to ensure we were comfortable. She also has a nice closed-in backyard, a big water fountain and lots of space for the dogs!”

East End dog parents share their Rover experiences
Susan was absolutely amazing with Koko and Maui! From the start, she was incredibly communicative and kept us constantly updated with lots of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. The dogs had tons of walks and little adventures—Maui clearly decided Susan was his person (or should I say, his sheep 🐑😍), and watching their bond form was the sweetest thing. Koko absolutely loved her snuggles and, most importantly, Susan was so patient and intentional about helping build Koko’s confidence. You can truly tell she cares deeply about the dogs she watches and treats them like her own. We came home to two very happy, relaxed pups. We would 100% book Susan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving sitter!

Marie was so sweet and was so kind as to drop them back off at our house after she was finished watching them so I could continue enjoying my birthday party! Our pups were super happy when they arrived back home and we will definitely book with Marie again. ❤️
