“Myra is very awesome! She made sure we were updated. She was great in ensuring the safety of the dogs, keeping them separated if needed. Obi came back very happy. I’m pretty sure Obi didn’t even miss us lol. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Kathleen was great. She was able to watch Lucy last minute. Lucy is older with some health problems and Kathleen was very reassuring and attentive. She was also very patient with Lucy as she adjusted the first couple of days. Thanks for the great stay!”

“Flower enjoyed her weekend with Donald! She was well taken care of and loved while we were gone. Drop off and pick-up were easy! Donald also sent several pictures of Flower while in his care and was easy to get in touch with while we were gone. We appreciated his care of Flower and will definitely use his services in the future!”

“Tonya took excellent care of my diabetic cat for 10 days. She gave her the shots that she needed and sent me pictures and let her have her own space to stay in. Tonya lives on a nice farm with other animals around and she is a total professional. Very glad we met you, Tonya!”

“Very caring family who will take in your furry loved one, and take care of them with love. She also takes the BEST pics and sends them with updates throughout the visit. Brooke is great!”

“Very professional and informative during my trip. It was my first time using a dog sitter and I am very pleased and my baby seemed very comfortable on her first overnight stay with sitter”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of Gunner this past weekend and kept me updated with lots of pictures, which I really appreciated! It was so nice knowing he was in great hands while I was away. Gunner had such a great time, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I would absolutely recommend Taylor to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their fur babies. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: 👋🏼Hi! Thanks for taking the time and swinging by! My husband and I know what it means to find someone you can completely trust to care for your pet(s) and to feel at ease knowing that they will be taken care of. We each grew up with dogs and also had different kinds of pets (hamsters, lizards, fish, turtles, cats, dogs, birds) while the kids were growing up. 🐾We offer boarding, daycare and drop-in visits, ensuring your pets get consistent care tailored to their routine. 🏡We live in a house with a secure, fully fenced-in backyard where your dogs can safely play, stretch their legs, explore and do their business. 🐶🐶We are the proud pet (grand)parents of two sweet, 15-year-old sister dogs. Because they are seniors, they cannot hear very well anymore. They are very gentle, and a little shy but friendly. 💖Your pets will find a peaceful, patient, and understanding environment here. Whether your pet is staying at our house or we need to drop by, they will receive attentive care. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! We are both always at home during the daytime. Michael works from home. We usually try and go to the gym early in the mornings. 🌳We have a nice sized well manicured back yard that is fenced in. There is also plenty of room in the house for more dog beds or crates if you need to bring those.
“Kahlynne was great! She was very professional replied quick easy to deal with and made me feel very confident and comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. She sent text updates and pics. Could not ask for a better person to sit my dogs. I’m so glad Rover exist and was able to get us in touch with Kahlynne. We look forward to using her services again! Thank you Kahlynne”

“Amy took care of my 5 year old dachshund (Molly) for 6 days. My family absolutely loves Molly and we had not been away from her in about 3 years. It was really hard to leave her but Amy sent me updates and pictures. She never acted like I was bothering her when I would ask for an extra update. Molly is not just a dog to my family, she is our baby, and I will not hesitate to leave her with Amy again if we are unable to take her on vacation with us again.”

“Kellie was great with our rambunctious lab puppy River! She was super flexible and patient with him and he seemed like he had a great time playing with her dog all weekend. I would definitely recommend Kellie to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.
About: I have been caring for animals as long as I can remember. My Mother showed me how to handle puppies and kittens as well as the wonder of animal watching. I am currently wanting to work from home and give walks part-time to start. I am open to long-term care as well. I've had several different animals as pets and respect them all. I have a loving home with a large fence and small fence. The area will have plenty of water and toys and will be treated for pests.
“She completely settled all of our worries about using Rover for the first time. Our first option was going to be using a pet boarding facility and I'm glad we changed our minds. She's going to be our first choice from now on. 10/10 experience.”

“Nancy was a fantastic host for my dog, Griffey. She allowed a walk thru tour of the house/back yard. She provided pictures while I was out of town to ensure peace of mind. Always quickly responsive if I had a question. Will be a returning client - I know My fur ball is in good hands when I’m out of town.”

About: Hi! I’m Brianna, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member. 🐾 Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with Labrador Retrievers, so I’m comfortable with larger breeds, energetic personalities, and dogs who love a good walk and plenty of attention. I also had my own Shih Tzu for eight wonderful years, from my college days into early adulthood, and had the privilege of caring for her through her senior years — including when she lost her vision. That experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting care to each pet’s unique needs. Today, our home is filled with love from our cat and busy toddler, and while we’re not quite ready to add another dog to our family mix just yet, I’m definitely missing my dog time! Caring for your pup would give me the chance to enjoy the walks, tail wags, and companionship I’ve always loved while providing your dog with the same love and attention I would give my own. Whether your pup enjoys a long walk, a leisurely sniff-filled stroll, playtime, or simply some extra companionship while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pet with someone else, and I’ll provide plenty of updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re apart. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged friend! I currently have a flexible schedule, which gives me the opportunity to spend more time doing things I love! I’m available for daytime walks and drop-ins throughout the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will provide loving care, follow your routines, communicate updates, and treat your pet like they’re my own.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
