About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, growing up on a family farm in southwest Minnesota with sheep, horses, hogs, dogs, and more than a few barn cats. As a dedicated 4-H and FFA member, I gained hands-on experience in showmanship, agility, obedience, and daily animal care. Professionally, I’ve worked as an animal care technician for the Richmond SPCA in Virginia and Companions Animal Hospital in St. Cloud, MN, caring for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. My duties included walking, grooming, bathing, administering medications, and providing enrichment. I hold a Silver-level Low Stress Handling certification with 20 hours of specialized training. These days, I care for my two senior English Springer Spaniels, maintain a community fish tank, and regularly watch my family’s pets and farm animals. I love hiking, being outdoors, and making sure animals feel loved and cared for. Whether it’s playtime, a walk, or extra affection, I treat every animal like family. I am a free-lance graphic designer and baker, otherwise I have been a stay-at-home mom. Both kids are now in school full time, so I find myself with time to spare. I cannot walk my own dogs, due to their mobility restrictions and age, so why not walk yours! About: I grew up around livestock and all sorts of other animals. I recently lost my own dog but when I had her I used Rover to help find a regular dog sitter for when I went on teacher conferences. I recently became trained in dog and cat CPR and first aid. I am not afraid to give medications to an animal and have taken care of dogs that have special needs such as anxiety, fear of fireworks, fear of guns and high energy. I am currently on a teaching schedule but after memorial day I will be available most days. If I am away during the summer it's usually just during the day. They will take first priority, getting food, water, any medications prescribed and taken to go outside will all take place before my needs. I can provide a kennel at my home and kennel trained my own dog understanding the process for that.

About: When your pet stays with me, they are family, and treated as such. I have experience with elderly and hospice pets as well as special-needs pets, young puppies, medication management and administration (liquid, pill, and injections) and some training experience as well. Well versed in pets with special care requirements (i.e. animals with anxiety, reactivity and/or other behavioral challenges). Because I work from home, I can be with your pet throughout the workday, and can easily step away to give your pet potty breaks and attention. I prefer to do house-sitting based pet care, as I’ve found that animals are most comfortable in their home environments. I am also happy to water any plants that may need it, as long as instructions are provided. Happy to work with large animals, amphibians, fish, and reptiles as well. Do note that house-sitting based pet care includes light house maintenance/cleaning as well such as vacuuming and laundering the guest sheets used. I like to leave the houses I care for as neat (if not neater) than they were upon my arrival. I work from home and can easily step away to care for your pet. When pet sitting, I generally don’t leave the house I’m sitting at for more than a few hours at a time, so your pet has reliable supervision and company. I am pet CPR and first aid certified through Red Cross. I am a very cautious and risk-aware person, always mindful of keeping doors and gates shut and ensuring the environment I’m pet-sitting in is safe and secure.

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs since I was little. I have watched my neighbors cat making sure the litter box is cleaned and she was feed. I have done that with another cat as well as chicks. I have also house sit / watch a Great Dane before who had separation anxiety made sure him and his cat friends were feed and taken care of. I work part time and will be able to provide all the care, live and attention needed for your pets care wether it’s walks check ins or house sittings. I will always keep the house as found when I am checking in on the pets as well as insuring if any messes by and animal or me happen while I’m around it will be cleaned.

About: Through either the companion animals my wife and I have welcomed into our home, or through the work I did at the local animal shelter as both a kennel attendant and volunteer, one of my few passions in life is providing care to and spending time with animals. For a number of years, I lived with companion rabbits—our time with them taught me a lot of patience, and gave me a heightened sense of when something might be wrong with their health. For a few years we lived with a special needs cat, and we currently are living with an Olde English Bulldog—all of these animals are of course different, for myriad reasons, but they also have a number of similarities in the personalities that if you spend enough time around them, you'll grow to see and understand. The time I spent as a volunteer and attendant at the shelter was a great lesson in how to be efficient and effective in tending to a number of animals at once—sometimes upwards of 20 cats that all needed their areas cleaned, food and water refreshed, and sometimes given medication. As a volunteer I worked with especially shy and frightened animals who had recently been surrendered and were not adjusting well to life at the shelter. This, like my own time living with rabbits, was the chance to learn more patience, and work with an animal until they open up more. I am, like, very available to care for your animal. Friday and Saturday I have a commitment in the morning, but would be ready to check in on whomever after 11 a.m certainly, and I would like to think that overall, I am relatively flexible and can manage time well. In my own home, I more or less put an animal's needs ahead of my own. If I were to check in on an animal of any kind in someone else's home, I would be respectful of their house rules, and also try to get to know the animal within their own space and interact with them there.

About: I grew up around all types and sizes of dogs and once I was 20 I got my first dog. We are now a household with 2 pups and 2 guinea pigs. As a pet sitter I consider myself devoted and attentive to the needs of your pets. I believe in a positive dog training approach and lead my interactions with kind authority. I've been entrusted to watch animals and children since I was 15 years old. I've been raised with pets that have special needs such as medication requirements and am comfortable providing for them as well. I am currently working from home and have a very flexible work schedule. I live near the WSU campus and can reach the local neighborhoods readily. Typically I am away from home during the holidays but can schedule some time around that. In general I will be available for walks and check ins at various times throughout the day. In Pullman we are lucky to have the availability of some trails and walking paths that are great areas to take dogs. I also believe in tailoring the walk to the pet. For example some dogs are nervous around busy streets, therefore we can modify and walk on back roads or in parks that may provide a better environment during their walk. I also have a valid drivers license and have had experience driving with dogs for 6+ hours in the car.

About: I have owned both cats and dogs, and I love the care that comes with owning these selfless creatures. Whether it’s playing string with cats, or going for long walks with energetic dogs, it’s a joy to interact with each of their unique personalities. I’m a dog park regular, a cat favorite and have experience with dogs from training puppies to working with elderly dogs. My schedule is, at this time in my life, rather open. I’m not in school right now, and I am lucky to be able to do pet-sitting as a steady means of work at this time in my life. During the week, I typically have a few consistent dogs that I walk for, as well as a few overnight pet-sitting jobs a few times per month. I’d love for you to be one of them! Because of this, it makes it easier for me to stay with the pet for a majority of the time, if desired. If I need to leave, it’s usually just to go home and cook my husband dinner, do a few errands or to walk/check on another pet. It all depends on your pet’s needs and habits. Feeding, bathroom and attention are the basics, but besides that I can be extremely active, going for long or several walks/day and lots of playing with toys, to more relaxed, following your animal’s needs. Hanging out with pets is as much for me as it is for the owner I’m working for and their pet. I find lots of fulfillment through spending time with animals, whether it’s my own or Rover clients. I have met many families on here that were strangers at first that eventually became a consistent friend/client.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, my mom worked as a dog sitter and trainer, so I grew up learning how to care for pets and build a strong, lasting, bond. I spent 5 years working at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for pups of every size, age, and personality – from playful puppies to gentle seniors to the lovable chaos gremlin. I take the time to connect with each pet so they feel safe, seen, and understood. I’m extremely mindful of safety protocols – doors and gates are always securely closed, even if I’m just stepping out for a moment. On walks, I use an extra leash for added security. I also never give treats unless they’re approved by you to avoid any upset tummies or allergic reactions.

About: My name is Marill. I love all animals. I have been watching animals since 2006. I absolutely love dogs. Every pet I've ever watched I try to mimic their home behavior so there are no bad habbits learned. If they aren't allowed on the couch at home. I wont let them here. If they are working on commands I will use your verbiage and hopefully return them to you more trained then when they came! If you want them to have the best time ever and be on vaca too, I can absolutely do that as well with beach days and sleeping in, on my bed! I want your pet to feel happy and loved while you're away and I can always provide pictures and video's too if you'd like! I have had a lot of experience with dog behaviors, training and medications and am always willing to learn. I chose to do Rover because I no longer wanted to leave my older dog… then COVID happened and I lost all 4 of my hospitality jobs so I chose to watch dogs full time! Rover is just one more way to get my name out there, but this is all I do all day long and I love it! I own a boarding business that I run out of my home so I’m here all day every day doing what I love. So Rover is just a great way to get in touch with people that need their pet to be in a safe and happy environment while they are away. I have 6 dogs of my own. Ranging from 6 years to 1. All different play styles or all of them love to sleep too! I have everything your dog needs to feel safe, get properly socialized, learn in a group setting and really enjoy coming here every time. About: I’ve been caring for my own dogs in all different sizes since I was 10 years old! I’m great at walking, feeding, caring, and playing with your dog. I make sure your dog(s) have been fed, have enough water and are let outside accordingly. I can bring your dog(s) on walks multiple times through out the day and make sure all waste on walks and in your yard is disposed of properly.
