“Traylor & Jason were so so good with our Tank while we were out of town! Their patience, knowledge, and attention to his extra need for space due to recent changes was absolutely the best. They moved at his pace and ensured his confidence and comfort. Lots of updates and photos helped us too while we were away. We will be calling on them again for sure. Thank y’all SO much for such good care of him!”

About: I’ve had animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve also had about every time of animal including dogs, cats, birds, ginipigs, and turtles. I’ve had experience with puppies and senior dogs. I love taking them for walks/drives and training them. I’m currently working part time and also go down to salt lake 3 times a week for my dance company. Any free time especially weekends I would love to spend with your puppies. I would love to play with your dog in a fenced area or take them on a walk or even a run to a park. I also like to consistently give them water and bathroom breaks when needed. I prefer to feed them 2 times a day but will adjust to your animals needs.
About: Hi, my name is Annette and I have loved animals my whole life! I had show animals through my 4-H and FFA years where I was able to train, nuture, and love sheep and steers that I showed at the county fair. I was raised on a farm and had the opportunity to be able to also ride and care for horses. I have had two dogs in our family that have been loved and miss them dearly. I am at an age in my life where we can travel a little bit more without having to worry about dog care for myself anymore. I know how hard it is to find good loving care for your fur babies when the need for vacation or travel occurs. Thats why I would love to give those entrusted in my loving care to have a worry free vacation or drop in visits, providing walks and potty breaks when life gets busy. Here is a little background information about myself and my previously owned dogs that have been very loved and no longer with me. I do work a Physical Therapy job Monday - Thursday. Two days are half days and the other two are full 10 hour days. My black purebred pug named Angus was with me for almost 15 years. I recently lost our Dorky (yorkie/dachshund mix) named Bentley aka Mr. Beans also known as Mr. Weenie who was with us for just over 16 years. Grandma to our 3 year old grandpup Graham who is a long hair dachshund who visits us often. I found this Rover app and decided to give it a try as a side hobby to spend some time with your animals to help my heart heal as I love dogs! Dogs speak to my soul and therapy for our hearts! ❤️ I am currently working Monday thru Thursdays. Available to let dogs roam outside before work, lunch breaks, and after work with being crated during work hours only. My fenced in Back yard allows freedom to roam free, play, and explore. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard for your dog to run around and roam, or if you prefer me to come to your house that is also another option. love taking walks, whether it is around your neighborhood or mine, your dog is welcome with a harness or leash to come on a walk with me. I have 2 clean kennels or you can bring your own if you prefer and a home full of love.
“Very professional and polite and has as a wonderful way with dogs! Great communication on letting me know what was going on while we were away. Will definitely request Heidi again.”

“Jess was exceptional. My dog had an unexpected issue during the time Jess was watching her and Jess remained communicative and calm all while navigating my dog’s illness with great competence. I would absolutely recommend her to others and use her services again!”

About: I grew up with two rescue dogs who I took care of. They were brother and sister. I always loved taking care of them. The brother was a bit on the slow side but he was really friendly. His sister lived to 18, and as needy as she was I loved taking care of her. It required a gentle hand that I was happy to provide. I love animals in general, and would be glad to help take care of anyone’s pets. I work part-time as a mover. Usually 2-3 times a week for 2-4 hours. The only other commitments I have during the week is church on Sunday mornings. I am available most days and nights. Since I am a college student I do not have any pets right now, so this job gives me the opportunity to spend some time with furry friends who make me very happy.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life from older dogs that need for care to tiny puppies you can’t take your eyes off. I love dogs and I am very comfortable around them no matter breed, size, or age. looking for some fun this summer I love cats and dogs but unfortunately don't have any of my own I would love the chance to take care of your pet and enjoy being around them My house is a very loving environment for pets with all pet safe plants and doggy blankets as well as beds with more toys than they can dream of

“Tyler is truly the best!! We’ve had her stay at our house and watch our dogs several times. She takes amazing care of our dogs and cat and they absolutely love her. She is so kind, respectful, and leaves your place better than when you left. Absolutely recommend!”

“Bailey was the sweetest thing and we were very grateful she could accommodate us through the weekend. She was very responsive every time we reached out via text and we appreciate her meeting us in advance to introduce the pups to her.”

“Jayd did a fantastic job taking care of my Nova! This was the first time I’ve been away from Nova since I adopted her a year ago, and she’d already had 3 other owners before me, so needless to say I was nervous about leaving her. But Jayd was so caring of Nova and did a fantastic job communicating with me, sending lots of pictures and updates, and it really put my mind at ease. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their pets! A million thumbs up!”

“Afton was amazing! She stayed at our house and watched over our Golden Retriever and Chihuahuas. She came by before hand to meet our dogs, and our Chihuahua (who is not a fan of strangers) immediately sat on her lap! We now are no longer worried leaving our pups when we go out of town... we know who to ask!”

About: I have worked with animals for over a decade and grew up with them my whole life. I was a care giver at a doggie daycare for over a year and worked at a local pet store, gaining knowledge on the best food/treat products available. My best friend is a vet and I've learned a lot through her as well. I've dog sat for a few clients on my own and always had very good experiences. I have a very good rapport with all animals, accepting the standoffish ones just as much as the slobbery kissing, energetic ones. There is so much joy to be gained from all animals! I have a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate each pet owner's needs. Whether it's weekdays, weekends, or occasional visits, I'm happy to communicate and find a schedule that works for everyone. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow your pet's routine, pay close attention to their needs, and provide a calm, safe, and reliable environment. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Ogden
McKenzie was fantastic! She took wonderful care of both our 15-week-old puppy and our 6-year-old dog. She sent daily updates, was always responsive, and treated our home with great care. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We wouldn't hesitate to book with McKenzie again and will absolutely be reaching out to her for future stays. Highly recommend!

Brittany was an absolute dream! This was the first time we ever did a boarding situation for our two small dogs and after a few bumps, they settled in very well. She was incredibly patient with them during the adjustment period, and was great at keeping us updated on their progress. By the end of the stay, I think they were sad to leave! Her photos were amazing quality and we appreciated the regular updates on their comfort, eating, and pottying. We’ll absolutely have them stay with her again!

First time really trusting someone we didn’t know with our dogs and she was amazing!! We have a ton of dogs and she sent us pictures the whole time and left our house better than she found it!! Heidi is the BEST and definitely will be using her again and again!!! Book with her, she took away all nerves of trusting someone with your fur babies!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Ogden walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Ogden maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Ogden choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
