“Haylie was so sweet and and kind caring for our dog. She kept us connected while we were away by sending pics and updates. She was great at communicating and a pleasure to work with.”

“Traylor did an absolutely incredible job with our dogs and was very easy to adapt to our dog that has mega esophagus. Like other reviews have said, our house was left in a very clean state, and she even went above and beyond with cleaning the prepped dog food containers. We will be calling on her services again, for sure.”

“Ashley was great! Quick to respond and punctual. Got plenty of pictures throughout our trip and she handled medications for 5 dogs like a champ. She’ll be our go-to sitter in the future.”
“Aubrey is so amazing! She sent so many pictures and little check in messages just to let me know how everything was going. Her and Oliver seemed to really have an amazing few days together. I came home to a very happy dog and a clean home!☺️”

“Candace did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were on vacation. She sent multiple updates and pictures throughout the day, walked our dogs, and gave our senior dog his numerous medications. Our flight home was canceled last minute and we had to extend our trip by a day and Candace was very flexible and accommodating and watched our dogs for the extra time.”

“Jayda was so caring. We felt so comfortable leaving our little baby girl Sophie a little Shih Tzu with her., she responded to us quickly when we asked her a question she sent us photos while we were away and comments which made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, which is what we as pet owners need when we’re away from our pets. If you need a pet sitter my wife and I highly recommend her. Thank you sooo much Jayda ❤️”

“Brittany did a fantastic job at keeping us informed about our fur babies day and sent pictures. The dogs seemed very happy and content. We will definitely be having Brittany back to help with the dogs.”

About: I love walking and caring for dogs. I believe that regular exercise is important for every pet. I have been walking dogs for years. Over the past few months i have been providing daily care for my sisters two dogs. I have a flexible schedule and would love to be your pets favorite walker. I can fit your schedule very easily and will help your pet get appropriate exercise. I have been making sure my sisters dog got the vitamins and supplements he needed over the past few months when she was out of state.
“Kerry did great with jaxsley and xena. Stopped over multiple times a day to hang out with them. Sent us messages and pictures about how they were doing. I would highly recommend using him.”

About: Hi, my name is Annette and I have loved animals my whole life! I had show animals through my 4-H and FFA years where I was able to train, nuture, and love sheep and steers that I showed at the county fair. I was raised on a farm and had the opportunity to be able to also ride and care for horses. I have had two dogs in our family that have been loved and miss them dearly. I am at an age in my life where we can travel a little bit more without having to worry about dog care for myself anymore. I know how hard it is to find good loving care for your fur babies when the need for vacation or travel occurs. Thats why I would love to give those entrusted in my loving care to have a worry free vacation or drop in visits, providing walks and potty breaks when life gets busy. Here is a little background information about myself and my previously owned dogs that have been very loved and no longer with me. I do work a Physical Therapy job Monday - Thursday. Two days are half days and the other two are full 10 hour days. My black purebred pug named Angus was with me for almost 15 years. I recently lost our Dorky (yorkie/dachshund mix) named Bentley aka Mr. Beans also known as Mr. Weenie who was with us for just over 16 years. Grandma to our 3 year old grandpup Graham who is a long hair dachshund who visits us often. I found this Rover app and decided to give it a try as a side hobby to spend some time with your animals to help my heart heal as I love dogs! Dogs speak to my soul and therapy for our hearts! ❤️ I am currently working Monday thru Thursdays. Available to let dogs roam outside before work, lunch breaks, and after work with being crated during work hours only. My fenced in Back yard allows freedom to roam free, play, and explore. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard for your dog to run around and roam, or if you prefer me to come to your house that is also another option. love taking walks, whether it is around your neighborhood or mine, your dog is welcome with a harness or leash to come on a walk with me. I have 2 clean kennels or you can bring your own if you prefer and a home full of love.

About: As a teacher, I’m used to being responsible, patient, and attentive to the needs of others every day. I bring that same care and consistency to every pet I look after. I’m dependable, detail oriented, and will treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I also have my own large, overprotective dog with a big personality, so I understand how important it is to find someone who truly takes the time to understand a pet’s individual needs. I know firsthand that some dogs can be misunderstood and that finding the right person who respects their boundaries, routines, and quirks makes all the difference. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or simply needs a little extra patience, I’ll take the time to build trust and make sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m a teacher, so I have great availability on weekends and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening drop-ins on weekdays. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits both your pet’s needs and your routine. I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable when they can stay in their own familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their schedule as consistent as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, walks, litter box care, and plenty of attention and affection based on their individual personality. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and boundaries. Some pets love lots of interaction, while others need a little more patience and space to warm up. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, while also providing you with updates and peace of mind.
About: I have worked with animals for over a decade and grew up with them my whole life. I was a care giver at a doggie daycare for over a year and worked at a local pet store, gaining knowledge on the best food/treat products available. My best friend is a vet and I've learned a lot through her as well. I've dog sat for a few clients on my own and always had very good experiences. I have a very good rapport with all animals, accepting the standoffish ones just as much as the slobbery kissing, energetic ones. There is so much joy to be gained from all animals! I have a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate each pet owner's needs. Whether it's weekdays, weekends, or occasional visits, I'm happy to communicate and find a schedule that works for everyone. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow your pet's routine, pay close attention to their needs, and provide a calm, safe, and reliable environment. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“I had to leave my two Siamese boys home for the holidays. I was very nervous. I work from home and they aren't home alone much, if at all! Having true flame-point Siamese characteristics, they require constant attention and play. They are known to be one of the most social of cat breeds and are often called the royalty of cats for good reason! Lucy stayed over the whole week and did more than give them her undivided attention! She followed their feeding schedule and medicine administration. They had just been neutered a week before and she checked that they were still healing properly. She checked in with me and responded promptly when I texted her to see how things were going. She let me know how much time she was with them and when she was away. I could tell when I got home they had still gotten the amount of playtime and cuddles they need. She met with me beforehand and went over last minute details as I requested before I left. I was in a rush the day I left and Lucy watered my plants for me. My dishwasher was broken at the time and couldn't run water in one side of my sink. She made sure to not use them and hand washed any dishes. I left my only apartment key with her and she didn't forget to put it back for my return. Everything was tidy and perfectly taken care of. I can tell Lucy enjoys animals and watching them. It's not a "job" for her, but a joy she holds in her everyday life. I am excited to have found a permanent sitter and my kitties are happy they'll have a familiar friend when I'm gone! I'm so grateful that she was able to stay over and spend her Christmas watching them. Thanks for becoming my cat-sitter Lucy!”

“Bailey was the sweetest thing and we were very grateful she could accommodate us through the weekend. She was very responsive every time we reached out via text and we appreciate her meeting us in advance to introduce the pups to her.”

“Xion was amazing! They went above and beyond in home sitting our dog over our Thanksgiving vacation. From near-daily text and photo updates, to even shoveling snow from our driveway and sidewalk, they really took care of everything and more. So grateful and would absolutely book again!”

McKenzie was fantastic! She took wonderful care of both our 15-week-old puppy and our 6-year-old dog. She sent daily updates, was always responsive, and treated our home with great care. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We wouldn't hesitate to book with McKenzie again and will absolutely be reaching out to her for future stays. Highly recommend!

Dawn did an amazing job taking care of my dog while I was away for military duty. There was a slight hiccup and she immediately contacted me and we figured out the best fix for what was going on! She gave great updates and pictures of my dog while I was gone and I am looking forward to using Dawn again to watch my girl! 10/10, if I could give her more than 5 stars I would!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Marriott-Slaterville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Marriott-Slaterville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Marriott-Slaterville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
