About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. As a working artist, taking the time to care for animals has been such a privilege and the perfect change of pace while I continue to work on creative projects. I have a German Shepherd that I keep separated from the work I do with other animals. I am located at a small farmhouse in Augusta that has a huge yard with two a-joining fields. There is more than enough room to explore the surround with your pet. I am also an avid walker so exercise is big for me generally.

“Emily took care of my cat while I was away on vacation and did an awesome job. This was my first time using Rover and she made it a great and seamless/comfortable experience for me, and my cat was in great spirits when we got back. Highly recommend Emily, she loves animals and is definitely a cat whisperer.”

About: I have worked as a vet assistant and groomer. Pets have been a part of the family for my whole life, everything from bearded dragons and guinea pigs to a wonderful St. Bernard. I might actually be part cat. I'm a stay-at-home mom. Every morning I give the insistent critters their breakfast and some play time before letting the dogs out. Play and cuddle time happens all day. There is a big basket of toys for both dogs and cats in the living room and jars of treats are scattered around the house. Our yard isn't fenced yet, but there is a runner and the yard is surrounded by woods. We're also on a dead end road, so there's no traffic. The cats have litter boxes in the basement, with a cat door for access. That gives them a bit of privacy, the dogs aren't allowed down there. The cats also have a water fountain and food bowls high enough that the dogs can't reach.

About: I have experience taking care of many animals! For my family and friends I have taken care of households full of animals in the past. Animals are a passion of mine and I love working with them! I'm currently a college student doing in home care for the elderly and I'm looking for something extra to fill in the gaps. I love animals in every form! I am currently free on in between days during the week and weekends! I have experience taking care of all sorts of animals and have taken care of animals for long periods in the past. A lot of the animals I have taken care of are super quirky and need some extra attention or problem-solving involved. I personally have a cat and two pigeons at the moment! Let me know what your pet needs and I will follow it 100%!

About: I’ve worked at 2 doggy daycares in the last few years where we did boarding. I’ve also worked in a cat boarding facility and have worked at pet stores for about 5-6 years. I was trusted with cleaning up after and giving medications to pets that needed it. I’m currently working part time in Freeport so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets and spend time with them and take them on walks depending on weather. I live in a wooded area with access to tie outs so your pets and I could sit outside on good days and play. I have an extra room in the house where I can easily board your pet but would require you to bring a crate if they’re crate trained depending on the size of the pet. I do have two crates available that I could use if you’re unable to bring their crate. I have 2 cats in the household along with my fiance so they would have to be cat and man friendly.

About: I am an animal lover who would love to provide care to your pet so you don't have to worry about leaving them at home while you're at work or on vacation! My services include dog-walking, drop-in visits to check on and play with your pup, overnight boarding if you're away on vacation (at my home or yours), or dog-sitting for the day while you're at work. I have experience with volunteering at various animal shelters, caring for dogs on Rover for several years, owning several family dogs growing up, and spending time with my parents dog, Boomer (a rescue Shih-tzu yorkie mix), my sisters dog Lola (a mini schnauzer) and my in-laws’ golden retriever, Remi. As of June, we also have a golden retriever puppy of our own who adores other dogs, so it is important that your dog gets along with other dogs. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I love hanging out with the doggos and will be flexible with our activities based on their age, activity level and owner preferences. I love exercising and being outdoors so I’m always willing to go for walks or hikes with your dog! Or if they’re older I can stay in and relax with them too 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule and am home a lot so will be able to devote lots of attention to your furry friend. My husband and I live in a home on 5 acres on a quiet rural road in Maine that is perfect for taking dogs for walks or a swim in the pond (if their parents say yes!). Your dog will have plenty of room in the house and on our land to play and go for walks down our quiet road. I also am able to travel to your home to watch your dog too.
