About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 8 for neighbors and friends. I live on a farm and have cared for prettt much any animal you can think of. I am very experienced and genuinely love animals and caring for them. I’m always happy to play or just snuggle! I am a college student with a lot of random free time! I am home for the summer and working part-time looking for some extra work. I LOVE animals and would spend every second with them if I could! I have 3 dogs at home, and I am used to giving commands and getting dogs to listen. I give lots of attention and play time, but also love giving pets and cuddles.

Rowan will always be my go to for my cat Nico. She’s very attentive and reliable. She also went above and beyond for a special request for me and Nico and we truly appreciate that. If you need someone who will care for your animal like theirs I highly recommend booking her. Thanks Rowan!!!!

Rob did a great job with our dogs for the weekend! He went above and beyond and even offered to drop by an extra time just to check in if we were late getting home. We will definitely have him watch our dogs again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter!

Takodea was great. My older dog is very timid so we asked her if she would do a meet and greet first with the dogs to see how my older one would respond. She was great with her from the start. No issues at all. So I felt better leaving these two babies in her care. She kept us updated, sent pics, and even left a doggie bag with treats for each of the dogs on her last day with them. She even remembered my older dog’s issues and found treats she could have. Takodea went above and beyond. When we got back the dogs were calm and happy. We will definitely recommend her to anyone needing a sitter and we will definitely ask for her on future trips.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and have provided pet sitting services for family and friends since 2020. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand the importance of maintaining routines, recognizing behavioral cues, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for every dog. I currently care for my own dog, Tessa, and have experience with dogs of varying ages, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. My hands-on experience includes caring for large and independent breeds such as German Shepherd/Akita mixes and Shiba Inus. Through regular pet sitting, I’ve become comfortable managing multi-dog households, administering feeding schedules, reinforcing established training routines, and providing enrichment through play, walks, and positive interactions. I’ve also lived with multiple dogs throughout college, giving me extensive experience adapting to different personalities, obedience levels, and exercise needs. I have experience supporting basic training, including house training, crate training, leash manners, and positive reinforcement techniques. Whether your dog is highly active, prefers a slower pace, or needs consistency with an existing routine, I strive to provide dependable care that helps pets feel secure while you’re away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily life. As a lifelong dog owner and experienced pet sitter, I’m used to planning my routine around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m currently a student in a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program, which has strengthened my time management skills and attention to detail. I have clinical rotations on Mondays and Tuesdays and classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8–10 a.m., so I’m generally available most afternoons, evenings, Fridays, and many weekends with advance notice. I only accept bookings that fit comfortably within my schedule to ensure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. In my clients’ homes, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, crate routines, and any training cues or household rules. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and collars before going outside and make sure pets are supervised during playtime and interactions with other animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take time to build trust at their pace—whether they need extra playtime, a calm environment, or a little extra patience. As an MLT student, I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away.

Thanks Ariel! We'd be happy to use you again as our cat sitter as long as you're still available! Ariel took lots of videos and photos of our cats, even though they mostly hid from her - she was still able to find them. She also was able to operate and clean out our Litter Robot and have them tuna wet food treats. We were on a very long vacation and this brought a ton of peace of mind to us.

About: Hello! I am a highly motivated veterinary student with 5 years of professional animal experience (companion animals and exotics). I am an ambitious and hard-working individual with a track record of punctuality and dependability. I have experience with all ages of animals and would love the opportunity to care for your pet(s) however and whenever you need me to. I am currently unemployed because I am a full-time student, but I will be completely free all summer and on winter breaks. I will have ample time to care for your pet(s) at any point in the day. I have a decent-sized yard located in an extremely dog-friendly neighborhood that provides many walking trails as well as other pets to play with. I can provide fecal pick-up bags as well, if they are needed.

Once again, Kaylee did an excellent job with our dogs and cats. She kept us updated every day with notes and photos, was proactive in her care, and kept our house tidy. All of our pets seemed super happy to see her in the photos she sent, which tells me that she took great care of them. I highly recommend Kaylee and will be using her services again.

Awesome cat sitter. Shortly after the initial meet and greet, I already felt comfortable with Savannah taking care of my fuzzy family. She took pictures every day, well, whenever my cats came out of hiding ?. She even cleaned up the vomit! Very grateful for the care she offered. Thank you Savannah!

About: Incredible and unmatched skills with holding the leash steady when the fur baby finds a new friend haha. I have experience working with elderly, sick, and disabled dogs, and my experience includes cleaning dog kennels, and making sure to consistently medicate. About: Hi! I'm Ben, and dogs have been the best part of my day for as long as I can remember. I've cared for everything from tiny seniors with medical needs to high-energy big breed pups who love to chew. I treat every dog and cat like one of my own and I'm excited to give your pet the same love I do to my mine! I work from home full time, which means your dog gets near-constant company rather than being left alone for hours. My schedule is flexible throughout the day, so I can keep up with feeding times, regular potty breaks, walks, and play without rushing. Rover's "Safety, trust & environment" section is where owners decide whether to actually hand you their dog, so it should be concrete and specific rather than reassuring fluff. Here's a blurb covering the full range of services, with placeholders for your details: Safety is the first thing I think about with every dog in my care. For boarding, my home has an acre yard with no busy roads nearby, and I keep dogs leashed and under close watch any time we're outside or in a new environment. I stick closely to feeding routines, medication schedules, and any instructions you give me. There is no improvising with your dog's care. You'll get photo and video updates at every visit, so you always know your dog is safe and happy. If anything ever seems off, you'll hear from me right away.

Nichole is amazing! I never worry when she is taking care of my baby, as well as anything that happens unexpectedly while we are gone. She handles it all, & always keeps me informed. Plenty of just, common sense! She always knows exactly how to handle any situation! I can’t say enough praises for her! Thanks always, for everything, Nichole!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,831 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Norene. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norene. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
