About: My motto is that it's my responsibility to make sure that each dog feels the most comfortable, loved, and most importantly safe in the short time I have them. Every day that I'm with your pup, I keep that motto at the forefront of my mind. I know how important dogs are to our lives, so it's my duty to make sure that your pup gets to experience the same kind of love and care that they're used to at home. I'm an out of state college student who has three larger dog breeds at home that I miss so much. And I’ve grown up around dogs all my life so making pups as happy as I can and taking care of them just come second nature for me! Although I've been a lifelong dog lover, my experience with pups is much more far-reaching than that. I recently have over 2 years of volunteering experience at a no-kill animal shelter called “City of Norman Animal Welfare” and I’m hoping to take my lived experience and activism with animals into a summer job. I've worked with dogs big and small and loved taken care of all of them equally. I've also been trained in Pet First Aid and am experienced administering medication. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It's a great way to make sure that we're all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup, their needs, and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it's always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs!! like to get down on their level to show them that I'm a welcome presence here to make friends, and I'm sure we'll be best buddies in no time at all. I know how difficult it is to be away from your best friend, so communication is the name of my game. I'll make sure to send plenty of regular updates with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun your pup and I are having together <3 Note: Might do cats in the future, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown allergic so Benadryl is a must. I am currently working an internship at a museum with very flexable hours for the summer giving me lots of time to play and walk your pups! With the internship I just need to work 12 hours a week but can come and go from the museum as I like and can take an hour off for lunch, work only 2 days a week, only work early mornings, it is truely amazing having such an independent schedule, which is why I thought dog sitting & walking would be a great idea. Would love to do boarding/doggy daycare, like I said in my bio, I miss my dogs at home so much so giving some weekend love to yours won’t be a problem. But I do live in an apartment and having any animal for longer than a week without having them registered with the building would be against my lease, so I cannot do super long sleepovers :( My entire apartment complex is fenced in but because theres other people they would be on a leash, but theres PLENTY of grass to go potty and frolic. We also have a large yard in the center of the apartment complex where they can run and stretch their legs off leash. While all dogs are outside on or off leash they will NEVER leave my sight regardless of have a history of running away or not. Love playing fetch with dogs and rewarding good behavoir with lots of treats. (Dietary concerns considered) I drive a toyota highlander SUV with plenty of space for transporting your pups and making sure they’re secure and totally safe. Just like watching your dogs transporting them should be done with the utmost care and I have a squeaky clean drivng record. I currently do not have a crate at my apartment, but dogs generally feel most comfortable in their own bedding especially in a new unfamilar environment, if you’d allow me to bring it from your home and return it with your pet. There’s plenty of space in the apartment, but I’d only sit about three large dogs at a time to allow plenty of playtime space or incase they get the zoomies. Dog beds or crates can be in the livingroom or my bedroom wherever your pet is most comfortable sleeping. I am also comfortable washing dogs after having multiple sessions with them to gauge temperment. A lot of dogs get anxious with baths and I am more then comfortable handling that and have multiple times in the past, but I do not need to put myself in harms way dealing with aggressive untrained dogs. Nonetheless I understand that for a lot of middle aged dog parents bathing dogs is tedious and can hurt your back, so I am happy to provide a clean pup for an additional tip! (Skin concerns considered with products used)

“Chris house and 3x dog sat for us for 10 days while we were in Europe. I was hesitant to allow a house sitter I didn’t know stay in our home with our pups. She provided everything I needed to feel at ease. Chris was phenomenal. Highly communicative, true to her word, and very attuned to what our pitties wants and needs were. We had an issue in France and all our luggage was stolen, including our house and car keys for the car parked at the airport. Chris went way above and beyond to help us arrange for the aftermath of that circumstance. We had a flooring repair guy coming in on a day she was there and we were abroad. She made sure the guy called his boss and the job got done after he tried to be acting like there was no job to do! When we came home, the house was cleaner than when we left it and our dogs were calmly listening to anti-anxiety doggy music on YouTube in the den. We’re hesitant to share this info with you because we want Chris to be available whenever we need her, but you ought to know: she is effective, efficient, and goes way above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.”

About: As a teenager, I worked for two years in bustling grooming salons as a professional dog groomer. In this role, I handled a large variety of dog breeds, sizes, and conditions. I am capable of managing stressful situations safely, effectively, and respectfully of the animal. This experience gave me a great foundation of handling and intensive health maintenance. After my grooming career, I shadowed a successful balanced positive trainer for two years, while working under her wing in a holistic boarding/daycare facility. I am comfortable working with large groups of dogs at once, and trained to read subtle body language. My time in boarding taught me to analyze canine behavior, adapt to new circumstances quickly, and treat every animal as a unique individual. I am confident and capable handling reactive, aggressive, fearful, and exuberant dogs. I am a lifelong pet owner, I've always had cats, dogs, and horses. I love to farm sit, and I have taken care of cats, dogs, horses, chickens, guineas, pigeons, goats, pigs, raccoons, and even once an orphaned white-tailed deer fawn! I am no stranger to high-maintenance pets, and strive to provide you and your critters with fantastic care. I can administer most kinds of medications, and don't mind lengthy routines. I'm currently a college student with online summer classes. I also work part-time (usually just 12 hours a week). My schedule is very flexible, permitting me to check on your pets frequently, spend quality time with them, and adapt to changing schedules. During the typical college semester, I am in class for most of the day on Mondays and Wednesdays, but available for overnight sitting. I am very experienced with lengthy references upon request in animal care. It is a personal priority of mine to offer quality care and create positive experiences for your family. I am a capable problem solver, experienced handler, and very communicative.

About: I started volunteering at veterinary clinics in middle school because I’ve always had such a big heart for serving and caring for animals. I rescued my terrier/lab mix as a puppy, and she is very lovable and fully convinced she’s human. I’ve also grown up caring for very large family dogs, from Great Pyrenees and pit bulls to golden retrievers, so I truly love pets of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels! I also have experience caring for cats, birds, guinea pigs, and other pets through both personal experience and helping family and friends with their animals. About: I’ve been around dogs since I was born! I have an energy that dogs and kids love and I have the patience and energy for everyone from puppies to seniors. I’m a senior at OU this year and have a much lighter course load than previous years. I would love to fill it with taking care of your pets! I miss my pets back at home and I would love to give your pets lots of cuddles and exercise when you can’t. I am very available Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have some availability on Fridays. I have pet sat in my own home and others’ many times. About: I have had 6 different dogs in my household which has given me a diverse range of experience from small to medium sized dogs. I love creating a fun and exciting experience for the dogs. I am observant and will cater towards any needs. In the summer I will only have a babysitting job on Tuesdays and I will be free the rest of the time. I will have lots of free time to create a fun experience for your dogs. For my home, I care for my pets by taking them on walks or runs. I also enjoy taking them to parks or even car rides. About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals since I was 10 years old. I worked on my aunt’s ranch where I cared for a variety of animals including dogs and cats. I also have a lot of experience with dogs since I showed my dog in 4H and won several awards. I love animals of all shapes and sizes so I’m sure I will be a perfect fit for your furry friend. I care for my pets every morning and every night. During three of the weekdays, I have class but I return home right after to spend time with them and get them exercise. I carry dog treats with me when doing visits to help the dogs feel more comfortable. I also enjoy taking long walks with dogs to keep them entertained. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies who may need basic training reinforcement to senior pets who require extra attention and gentle care. I’m currently I student at the university of Oklahoma and don’t have class on Tuesday or Thursday. I’m available for boarding on the weekends and after 6 on Monday and Wednesday.
