Over: Dear pet owners, my name is Paulien, I'm 25 years old and I live in Amsterdam-West. I have a studio apartment of 27m². I live on the ground floor, so there are no stairs, in case if your furr baby has trouble or isn't allowed to walk up and down stairs yet. I have finished college, I want to become a dog trainer next year, which is an online study, so I'll have plenty of time next to my study to take care of your furr babie(s). I don't have any pets of my own, so I have all the time to do what I love most, taking care of animals! I always make sure that my calendar is updated, but I'm free most of the time! Back in 2018 I had a partner who has 1 dog and 3 cats. I loved taking care of them, take long walks in the park or at the beach. Nothing brings me more joy than play and cuddle with them. My partner at the time had a family friend who owned a dog named Shana and used to take care of their dog, whenever she was on vacation, before she passed away. The reason why I don't have a pet of my own is because my apartment is too small (27m²). So I searched for an option where I can still take care and show my love for pets. I found Rover and started working through here in 2019 as a pet sitter. My heart aches for animals and I want to share my love for them with as many pet owners as I can. I'd love to learn more where needed. Rince Rover is my full time job, I have plenty of time to take care of your furr babies! I can take your dog(s) on long walks if you'd like or stay inside and play/cuddle with some lovely cats. My apartment is fairly small and I don't have a garden where dogs can play, so I'd take them to the park near me (Westerpark) to have some fun, run around and just have a good time. With cats I just like to play with them, cuddle with them and of course let them have their own space where they can rest and explore. I will make sure to give them their space and let them get used to me. I will let the pets be and let them come to me before interacting, I respect their space and want them to feel safe and comfortable around me. When I would be staying in your home, I will always ask if there are things I have to be cautious about (for instance, if the dog is anxious, make sure he doesn't get sensory overladed and if so, because it can be pretty crowded outside, please go back home).

Over: I have grown up with two wonderful cats, Lavie and Nevado. I left them back in my home country and miss them very much. That is why I'd love to care for your furry family as if they were my own.
 I’m responsible, caring, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I often pet sit (both cats and dogs) for friends and family, and now I’m excited to extend that care to others in the neighbourhood. I welcome only vaccinated pets into my home, and I am also happy to make visits to yours. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just some quiet company, I’ll make sure they feel relaxed and loved while you’re away.
I can administer medication to pets, whether mixed in food or given directly in the mouth, ears, eyes, or via injection. I’m comfortable doing injections after we’ve done it together once, so I can see how your pet responds.
I also offer bathing and brushing services. If hosting, your pet will never be left alone for more than 3 hours. I currently work from home and can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. If that changes and I’m not able to commit, I’ll be transparent and decline the booking. For dog walks, I take a maximum of two dogs per walk, but only after meeting them individually and assessing how they behave around other dogs.
Each walk lasts 30 minutes (tho I always tend to do more if we are enjoying and I have the time), though I’m happy to adjust for shorter or longer walks depending on your pet’s needs. When it comes to boarding, I only host one dog at a time in my home to ensure personalized care. They will not be left alone for more than 3 hrs.

Over: A cute dog can make my day - so I like making theirs as well. I’ve had dogs since I was 10, and recently got a small, very friendly puppy who’d love to run around with a furry friend. I’ve been training with him, and could work with your dog as well. More than anything, your dog would have a fun, cozy time, with lots of activities to get them home nice and tired, well-fed and fulfilled. I am flexible on week nights and available on weekends, also overnight. I take my own very friendly puppy for long walks to the park or woods as well, so yours is more than welcome! The dogs can play or chew a bone in my spacious living room, or take a quiet nap in a separate room. Depending on your dogs needs, they can easily be crated as well. The park is nearby for walks and play. My pup can’t wait to host or hang out!

Over: I've been studying in the Netherlands for two years now, and during this time, I've had the joy of petsitting over 30 dogs and cats. I'm originally from China, where I had a Papillon named Sanbao and an American Shorthair tabby named Bawan, who's now seven years old. After moving to the Netherlands, I missed them so much that I decided to start petsitting—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. Over the past two years, I've welcomed all kinds of dogs into my home, and through housesitting, I’ve also stayed at many lovely homes across Amsterdam. Each pet I've cared for holds a special place in my heart: from the giant poodle Floppy, to the sweet Shih Tzu Coco, the spirited Shiba Inu Ukemochi, and the mixed-breed duo Teto & Jaap... Every experience has been unique and meaningful. I'm patient, responsible, and familiar with commands in several languages. I love cuddles, I'm warm and enthusiastic, and I always spend quality time playing with the pets I look after. I don't think I'm helping them, they also help me with having a good time during my study here, and grow into a more responsible adult! I'm a student in college with only a few classes each week, and my schedule is quite flexible. If a dog needs walking, I usually come home right after a two-hour lecture. This means I have plenty of time to spend playing and bonding with pets. With summer coming up, I’ll have even more free time! I’m flexible on both weekdays and weekends, and I’m always happy to discuss and adjust to what works best for you. I live alone in a spacious 35m² studio. While I don't have a backyard, my neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful, right next to the canal—a lovely area where many people walk their dogs. I always encourage a meet & greet before a booking, so we can make sure everything feels right for both you and your pet!

We go out 3 to 4 times a day – in the morning, afternoon, and evening – ensuring that the pet has multiple opportunities to relieve itself and get some exercise. This promotes restful sleep and overall health. Ons huis heeft twee verdiepingen en een tuin van meer dan 40 m². De benedenverdieping is hun plek: een open keuken- en eetruimte zonder bank, alleen ruimte voor de honden. Vanuit deze ruimte is er directe toegang tot de tuin. In de winter blijft de deur gesloten om naar buiten te gaan, maar in de zomer is de deur open, zodat ze vrij in en uit kunnen gaan. We gaan ook meerdere keren per dag naar buiten om met de bal te spelen, naast de wandelingen in het park. Idealiter hebben honden geen toegang tot de bovenverdieping, waar onze slaapkamer is. Dit is bespreekbaar, afhankelijk van de specifieke behoeften van jouw hond. The ground floor is their space—an open kitchen and dining area with no sofa, just room for the dogs. From this area, there is direct access to the patio. In winter, the door will be kept closed to go outside, but in summer, the door is open so they can freely go in and out. We also go outside several times a day to play ball, in addition to the walks in the park. Ideally, dogs won’t access the upper floor, where our bedroom is. However, this can be discussed based on your pet’s specific needs. We’re flexible!
