Over: Ik ben een student die ontzettend van dieren houdt! Het voelt dan ook als een enorm gemis in mijn leven dat ik geen eigen huisdier kan hebben op dit moment. Inmiddels ben ik al twee jaar honden en katten oppas via Rover, wat mij ontzettend veel blijdschap brengt! Zeven jaar geleden namen mijn ouders een ruwharige teckel, Quby. Ik woonde toen nog thuis en omdat mijn ouders veel werken ben ik erg betrokken geweest bij haar opvoeding. We hebben samen 3 gehoorzaamheids cursussen gevolgd en zelfs een Hoopers cursus gedaan. Zo hebben we samen een hechte band opgebouwd en heb ik veel geleerd over de juiste omgang met honden. Een paar jaar later hebben we een tweede teckeltje genomen, een mannetje genaamd Viktor. Hij heeft een compleet ander karakter dan Quby. Waar Quby erg rustig en gereserveerd is wil Viktor van iedereen aandacht en altijd betrokken worden. Het verschil maakt ze zo’n leuk duo! Ik ben een student met veel vrije tijd! Het is makkelijk om mijn planning aan te passen aan uw wensen, ik sta overal voor open. Liefde en vertrouwen staat bij mij voorop. Dankzij mijn liefde voor dieren kan ik goed aanvoelen wat zij nodig hebben om een vertrouwd gevoel te creëren. Ik probeer goed aan te voelen of huisdieren juist wat meer rust en ruimte nodig hebben of juist wat meer aandacht, zo pas ik mij aan bij de behoefte van het dier.

Over: I've had pets all my life, and I love taking care of and being with them! I intend to give a lot of attention, affection and special care to your pet companion!!! I'm from Brazil, and I live in Leiden as an aupair. My working hours are from 15h until 20h. all week, and I'm always free on weekends. I'm available to help at any time I'm not working. 😊 I always like to prepare meals for the Pets 2-3x a day, water throughout the day, lots of play, affection and walking and walks to spend energy! 😅

Over: Mijn ouders hebben vroeger een golden retriever gehad en later een podenco. Nu hebben zij ook 2 podenco's, die ik geregeld uitlaat. Ondanks dat ik inmiddels het huis uit ben, heb ik wel jarenlang bijgedragen aan de verzorging van onze verschillende honden. Ook heb ik wel eens op de sterkte golden retriever van vrienden van mijn ouders gepast. Momenteel heb ik alleen zelfstudie, dus is mijn planning vrij flexibel. Ik wandel graag, waarbij het uitlaten van honden ook een fijne pauze is van het studeren. Ook zou ik daarom goed bij baasjes thuis kunnen studeren en oppassen. Ik woon in een studentenhuis en heb zelf dus geen huisdieren. Juist daarom lijkt het mij leuk om op de dieren van andere baasjes te passen bij hen thuis, vooral als zij daar hulp bij nodig hebben!

Over: We hebben 10 jaar lang een hond gehad met heel veel plezier en leuke momenten. Het was een Ridgeback, dus aan grote honden ben ik gewend! Verder heb ik bij familieleden of mensen in de buurt op hun hond gepast, of een rondje met ze gelopen en extra aandacht gegeven. Ik heb zelf een rustig karakter en dat zie ik ook bij de honden terug. Ze vinden het fijn om met mij te zijn en zijn snel gewend. Ik werk zelf onregelmatig. Ik ben verpleegkundige maar werk op een woongroep met mensen die een auditieve en verstandelijke beperking hebben. Ik werk slaapdiensten, dagdiensten en avonddiensten, dus ik heb altijd wel een gaatje om te komen knuffelen of een wandeling te maken. Ik ga graag wandelen op het strand, in het bos of een blokje om net wat nodig is! Ik kom graag lekker knuffelen of spelen met de hond (pup of wat ouder geen probleem). Ik heb een auto dus ik kan ook er op uit naar het strand, het bos of een dichtbijgelegen park.

Over: Hi, I am Nicola, I am a 26 years old, living in Leiden and learning Dutch. I am originally from the United Kingdom but have also lived in Denmark and Switzerland. My hobbies are yoga, knitting and visiting museums. I have had pets most of my life - guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, dogs and cats. At the moment I look after our family cat. I really enjoy helping people take care of their animals. When I was at University in the UK I dog walked most weeks for a charity (The Cinnamon Trust) and I enjoyed meeting the pets and their owners. I would go to the owner's house and collect the dog. I would take the dog for an hour to a half-hour walk. Where I walked the dog depended on where they lived but I would always try to find some grass or open land. I would only let off a dog who I felt very confident with and had spent a long time walking. I have experience with small and medium size dogs such as Yorkshire terriers and Bull terriers. While looking after pets I would listen to the owner's wishes and rules e.g. dietary restrictions and or behaviour towards other animals. I would be happy to house-sit for an owner for a couple of days to a week depending on the owner's demands. While staying at the owner's house I would take necessary security measures such as locking the front door properly and making sure to lock up the whole place when going out. Flexible to a point, willing to travel to the location. I look after pets in the morning and afternoon. Timings can be arranged and then we can talk about length or duration of care Talk to the owner, as every owner has different rules and regulations. Follow the owners rules, but ask if there are any questions. I notice anything unusual and or out of the ordinary get in contact with the owner.

Over: I've taken care of my own dog, Charlie, now a 9-year-old English Pointer, since I was 14 years old. He required a lot of exercise (walks twice a day) but also due to other complications being a purebred dog, he needed a lot of attention and care, as well as medication twice a day for the past 6 years. I also have experience with cats, as I grew up with a Siamese and Burmese (both purebred, and have very strong but different personalities), which I then had the joy of experiencing taking care of two litters of kittens with my Burmese cat. Thereafter I have fostered puppies (range of ages from 3 and a half weeks old to 1 year old) for 5 years for multiple dog organisations. I have dog sat for a family that had a very old and blind dog, whom needed special care as he was blind and needed help getting outside, which I would do early every morning. I also completed a job shadow of a nurse in a veterinary practice, which needed caring, teamwork and interacting with pet-owner clients. I have experience ranging from very young dogs and cats to very old, and also those who require a lot of attention and those who do not. I am currently a masters student at Leiden University. I study full-time, but as my program is predominantly self-study I have a lot of free time in which I am available to play and look after your pets! I am free most weekdays and the weekend (except some Sundays during the day). I am very easy going and comfortable with pets of all ages. I am deeply passionate about helping and working with animals and I thoroughly enjoy every opportunity I get to spend time with them!

Old dogs need a short walk, other dogs need to run and play longer and more time per day. I will help your dog to maintain his lifestyle the closest as possible to the one she is used with you. My house is a house with a garden with a fence and spacious green areas close by. There is a lot of space to walk in the surrounding area. I live with my husband, my 10 years old daughter and one English bulldog (3 year-old). Over: Through personal experience with my own pets, care for friends' pets, and international experience with pet sitting through Trusted House Sitters, I have been take care of little doggies for at least 10 years! As I work in a school during the day, I'm available to care for dogs and reptiles on the weekends from Friday 6pm to Sunday 8:30pm. Availability may increase during school holidays up until July 1st and will increase after August 2025 Based on my experience through Trusted House sitters, I know that pet parents have distinct ways to support their individual pets and I am willing to follow what is best for each pet.

Biggie gets two long walks a day, plenty of playtime, and lots of love - and I’ll treat your dog just the same. I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I aim to create a calm, fun, and safe environment where your pup can feel at home. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch or active adventures outdoors, I’ll make sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I have experience with older, disabled and young dogs. Happy to also give medication if needed. In the hot days we keep a paddling pool in the garden for the dogs to play in and keep cool, I never have more than 2 dogs at a time at my home, so plenty of room for them and one on one time with me. I work from home every day with my husband so the dog/cat is with me at all times, I often go for two long walks a day (depending on the breed of dog) we live in the village Warmond so there’s lots of nature, woods and parks for the dogs to run around in. The walk in the morning is usually 1.5 hours and the one in the evening is usually 40 mins, throughout the day the dogs are welcome to play in our large garden at the back of the house which we have fenced off at any point in the day. We have heavy grade locks on our front door so the house is very secure and the property itself is pooch safe, we have a large fenced off garden for the dogs to use for their business which we have fenced off so they can’t escape, I usually leave the French doors open so they can go outside as much as they want. On hot days we have a paddling pool for the dogs and I also put ice in their water to keep them cool, with lots of dog ice lollies (homemade!).

Over: I have taken care of dogs from small age. I moved to Leiden since this September. Before this is lived at my parents place who now have 2 dogs (male golden retriever & female Labrador). We have had 2 litters of puppies from our own dog, each having 10 puppies. I have taken care of our own dog by myself when he was 12 weeks old when my parents went away for holiday for 2 weeks and have done puppy training with our other dog. We have had another dog before but died of old age, so I am also experienced with senior dogs. I am currently finishing my master Ecology and Evolution, so I am at home a lot. After that I will have a parttime job till I have found a fulltime job. In the weekends I am home, or sometimes back to my parents. I cannot care for the pets at my place, but I have no problem taking care of them at a client’s home. It is no problem to bring them to my place for a couple of hours, but overnight is not possible

Over: Als er iets is waar ik van houd, zijn het huisdieren. Eerder heb ik er zelf veel gehad, maar nu ik uit huis ben is dat niet meer mogelijk:(. Wel laat ik vaak de hond uit van mijn tante en pas ik er ook soms op, mijn favoriete moment van de week! Ik studeer momenteel aan de universiteit, maar daarnaast heb ik veel vrije tijd. Ik ben alleen beschikbaar op weekdagen, zoals dinsdag woensdag, donderdag en vrijdagochtend. Voor mij past het er gewoon goed in omdat ik dit niet zie als een last maar juist als iets superleuks!
