“Melissa and her family are the absolute BEST!!!! My dog absolutely loves going to their home and being entertained, loved and treated like a princess. I can't say enough good things!”

“Roberta and Travis were great to work with. Fast communication and our NOAA was happy and exhausted at pick up! She played with their pup Marshall and came home a very content pup! We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“We have a high energy pup! As soon as we handed the leash over to Maureen and saw them briskly walking down the street together, we were confident that our girl was in very good hands! Good communications, really took the time to listen to everything we shared with her about our pup. We highly recommend Maureen and will use her again!”

“Cheryl is amazing!!! My dog, who is usually wary of new people, feel in love with her right away. Cheryl was so great about sending me pics and videos, which made me feel like I didn’t have to worry at all about my doggie. I will definitely be using her again in the future and suggest you do as well!”

“Arsenii was wonderful with my dog Genevieve while we had to be away for a family’s memorial. He was always kind, understanding, and sent me updates with pictures everyday without me having to ask. He also brought all her things (bed, food, toys, etc) back to my car when I picked her up, which was so generous. Genevieve also had the best time with them, and was very happy and relaxed. I’ll definitely be asking Arsenii to help out again in the future. Fully recommend him!!”

“Monica & Kelvin took excellent care of our dogs. They were incredibly prompt and responsive. They also provided daily updates and photos, which was highly appreciated. We will absolutely use them again without hesitation.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Leib as our dog sitter! He was caring, responsible, and clearly loves animals. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such good hands, and the updates and pictures were so appreciated. Our dog came home happy and well cared for. Leib truly went above and beyond, and we would absolutely recommend him!”

“Ken and Irene took great care of our dog, Cooper! We really enjoyed receiving the multiple updates with photos while we were away. Ken and Irene were very attentive to Cooper. Cooper was able to play safely outside in their fenced in backyard. He definitely felt at home while napping on their couch! We highly recommend Ken and Irene for boarding services and we will definitely be booking with them again.”

“This was our second time boarding Billie with Sonia and her family, and we are so glad to have found someone local who takes such good care of Billie! Thank you to Sonia, Brian, and Vivian!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - New City
Kathleen watched Otter for a full ten days and that is no small feat. She did great providing a warm safe and loving environment for our 10 year old pitty who acts like a puppy and has tendencies to get into trouble. This stay was no different but Kathleen excelled well above expectations. Kathleen sent many videos and pictures of Otter snuggling up with her kids and around the house. When we returned from our trip Otter was relaxed and well cared for. I give Kathleen my highest recommendation and would 1000% book with her again, if she would have us haha. 10 out of 10.

Ana was wonderful. She was very concerned about my dogs needs and asked many questions to make sure that she could give him the best possible care. She was an excellent communicator and sent many pictures of my dog who was very happy. I will absolutely use her again.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
