I hate to repeat myself, but I can't say enough great things about Briana. She goes above and beyond in every way each time Libbie visits. During the stay, I receive updates with cute photos and videos about how she is doing. It is obvious my dog is genuinely loved. Her assistant, Duke, is a gentle, big boy. Libbie loves hanging with him. He seems to know exactly what play style to provide. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to book with Briana. If you are looking for someone who treats your dog like family, look no further. BUT know I will be super upset if you take my next booking spot!!

Sherri was the absolute BEST with my Shih-Tzu Izzy. We did a meet and greet 1st which was so nice to do prior to just dropping Izzy off. Sherri texted me updates with pics of Izzy & even took her for a walk! I felt extremely comfortable leaving Izzy in Sheri’s care. I could tell how much Izzy enjoyed herself being there and we will definitely be back!! 😊

About: I have had pets ever since I was a small child: dogs, cats, hamster, gerbils, chinchilla, parakeet, turtles, even a toad that we saved from a freezing winter. We took care of it till spring and then released it. I love animals of all types. Almost, I'm not babysitting your tarantula or pet snake. My dog and cat are loved as if they were my children and your dog will be treated this way as well. We enjoy taking walks and car rides to the dog park in nice days. I never allow my dog outside without me. I am semi-retired and I work from home painting and repairing furniture and working on various crafts. Therefore I am very flexible with my time. I live in a decent sized 2 story home with a large back yard. It is not fenced all the way so my dog is always on a cable or leash. We live to go for walks and to the dog park for extra exercise. My dog is a husky mix and is almost 4 years old. She loves dogs of all sizes.

About: Hi everyone! Our names are Karen and Chad and we’ve always had a love for dogs since childhood. The thought of caring or rescuing a dog has always been top of our minds. When we got married, we adopted a greyhound racer. We had him for 7 years and lost him unfortunately due to cancer. Since we lost him, we’ve wanted to continue helping/caring for dogs and can’t think of a better way then helping others with their fur animals. We know the working world doesn’t always accommodate balancing out caring for our fur friends and work and would love to help with that! Please chose us to care for your fur friends whether it’s a walk or a overnight stay in our home! We will treat them with the utmost love and care! We are available daily as Chad stays at home weekly. Karen is available to help out on weekends. Please let us know how we can help! We have a nice back yard but do not currently have a fence (at this time). We can walk the dogs in our backyard with a leash and or take them to nearby parks. We do have a dog bed and dog water/food bowels with plenty of space in our 2200 sq.ft home.

2nd time booking with Chelsea & she will always be our go to if we need day care again. Super flexible and communication is top notch. Lots of photos each day along with details of the day's activities. Our pups come home happy and tired, having spent their days playing and snuggling. Chelsea and her family are beyond fabulous!

My dog Arthur has very specific needs and doesn’t feel comfortable with just anybody. Arthur seemed to settle right in, and take over. He even ate his dinner which he doesn’t do when he’s nervous or anxious. I’m hoping that Chris will be available again sometime when I would like to get out of the house. Extremely pleased!

About: I have been caring for pets my whole life. I have always had my own pets as well so I understand all of the responsibilities that go into caring for an animal. I love dogs and have experience working with them both small and large, ranging in ages from puppy to elderly. I love helping them get their daily exercise and helping them learn new tricks using positive reinforcement. I love going outside with them and allowing them to either run or even play a good game of fetch. I am also currently a cat mom myself so I also am capable of caring for cats as well. I realize that cats are both very independent but at the same time require affection as well. Your pet will be taken care of and loved as if it were my own.

Michael was the best of the best. This was our first time leaving our puppy with anybody since we’ve gotten him and we couldn’t have chosen someone better off of Rover. We will continue to book with Michael moving forward. He updated us with videos and pictures and took the best care of our little guy thank you, Michael.

About: I have a dog of my own. I potty trained her and I also taught her several tricks. She is a very active dog but it's nothing I can’t handle. I walk my dog 3-5x everyday depending on the weather. I also fill their water bowl and food bowl every morning. A few times throughout the week I go to the dog park. Everyone in my home including my dog is friendly when it comes to animals. We will treat yours like family because we are a very dog-loving family.

About: I’ve taken care of pets–other people’s and my own–since I was young. I’m a huge animal lover and care for all animals as if they were my own. I work entirely from home and almost entirely on my own schedule. Whether we're hanging out at my house or walking around your neighborhood, I have lots of time for your pet! My home has two spare bedrooms for your pet to have their own space to relax. Pets are allowed on all of my furniture, so we’re always ready for movie night! I have three cats at home, so I would prefer cat-friendly pets for in-home sitting. In my home, your home, or on walks, I will follow your directions to the letter. Your pet's comfort and safety are of the utmost importance to me.

10/10 would recommend. You can tell how much effort she put into her bio and her house setup for pets. She's such a sweetheart very reasonably priced but deserves a good tip. I love how experienced she is with a variety. I love the play places she has setup for the pets. I am excited to hopefully keep coming to her. She even gave us a little goodie bag. It was so cute. I especially enjoyed the updates and pics and Vids. Wendy is wonderful

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your New Castle commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 147 sitters in New Castle, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
