“Kash had a wonderful time staying with Briana, her family and his new friend Duke! Briana sent several pictures daily and kept up updated on his eating, playing and sleeping routine. We knew he was getting the love and attention as if he was home.”

“Excellent sitter. Kaitlin provided pictures throughout our dogs stay, and was quick with her replies to any question I might have. She has a wonderful fenced in yard. Will surely use her services again.”
About: I have owned dogs and cats since 1985 and was on a K9 Search and Rescue team for 18+ years so I have worked with all types of dogs and have a lot of experience with training. I currently work outside the home M-F 9-5 but can work from home upon request. Weekends I am home the majority of the time and spend most of my time hanging out with my own dogs (two labs) I have hosted a variety of dogs in my home including corgis, labs, goldens, frenchies, pitties, mals, and other assorted breeds. I treat everyone's pets just like my own - lots of treats, snuggles, couch naps, and of course sleeping on the bed if they want. Both of my labs are extremely friendly and love pretty much all dogs, but I do have experience sitting some dogs who preferred to be separate from my boys via either baby gates or kennels (depending on what the dog is comfortable with). I have a large fenced in backyard and a smaller fenced in front yard. The backyard has a doggie door that allows the dogs to go in and out at will, although when I am not home, I do not give any dogs access to the yard (even my own dogs as a safety issue).
“Had a great first experience with Rover because of Amanda. She was awesome with my dog Pippie understood her personality as an older dog , and answered questions I had since it was my first time leaving my dog with someone new. Will absolutely use services if available in the future.”

“Chelsea took wonderful care of Duke, and I’m so grateful for her kindness and flexibility. When the weather was rough at drop-off, she was very accommodating, which immediately put me at ease. This was my second time booking with Chelsea, and she was just as attentive and thoughtful as before. It was obvious Duke was well loved and cared for in her home. I also really appreciated the care and play Duke received from her son — it was clear he was given lots of attention and affection. I felt confident knowing Duke was in such good hands and would absolutely have Chelsea as my go-to sitter in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable sitter.”

“Laurie was wonderful with Gracie! I was a little nervous letting Gracie stay away but from the moment we had our meet & greet I felt very comfortable. Laurie, her sweet dog Daphne & daughter were very warm and welcoming. Laurie provided many check-ins and promptly answered all of the questions I had. I would definitely Laurie to anyone looking for a sitter and plan to use Laurie again in the future!”

“Shyann was so good with Nova. And I must say Nova loved playing with Poppy. Everything was great she sent me pictures and I just knew Nova was doing great with her. I know that I will definitely be taking Nova back she was wore out at a great day. I would recommend Shyann to everyone.”

“Leni loved staying with Anthony and Leslie! They played with her, took her for walks, and treated her like family! We look forward to having Anthony and Leslie keep Leni for us next month 😁”

“She was awesome. Very friendly and her dog was very playful and friendly. Her family is awesome with animals and my dog loved them. She sent photos while we were gone of my dog playing with the others. Would highly recommend her”

“We were away for 7 days and Carly kept us updated daily with photos of Norman-he seemed happy and adjusted well with his stay! I would highly recommend Carly if you’re looking for someone who cares about your pet! We will definitely be booking with Carly again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - New Castle
Marissa ( and her family) both are awesome! I had to leave my little dog with her at the last minute when I was traveling through town. She went above and beyond with communicating with me, also sent sweet pictures that let me know he was ok. She gets 5+ stars from me! I hope she knows what comfort she provided to both me and my dog, Patrick.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
