About: I have had a dog my entire life. When my last one passed, my heart was broken and I haven’t been able to get another one. I watched my daughter’s dog for a year but took her back about a year ago to Idaho. I work from home and it’s very quiet without any four-legged friends to keep me company throughout the day. I would love to help you out by watching your fur baby (& I can’t lie, it would make my heart happy to do so :)) I only book for one owner at a time & I do require a Meet & Greet to make sure I am a good fit for you & your furry friend. I work from home and have the flexibility to take them out for walks as needed. I walk multiple times a day & would love to share that with a dog. Because I work from home, I am easily able to give a lot of love to your fur baby so that you can relax and not worry about a thing. I will love them like they are my own!
“Mary was great! My puppy was a little apprehensive at first but by the end of the day settled right in. She had great communication and sent a few photos during the day and kept me updated to ease my anxiety.”

About: I have had pets ever since I was a small child: dogs, cats, hamster, gerbils, chinchilla, parakeet, turtles, even a toad that we saved from a freezing winter. We took care of it till spring and then released it. I love animals of all types. Almost, I'm not babysitting your tarantula or pet snake. My dog and cat are loved as if they were my children and your dog will be treated this way as well. We enjoy taking walks and car rides to the dog park in nice days. I never allow my dog outside without me. I am semi-retired and I work from home painting and repairing furniture and working on various crafts. Therefore I am very flexible with my time. I live in a decent sized 2 story home with a large back yard. It is not fenced all the way so my dog is always on a cable or leash. We live to go for walks and to the dog park for extra exercise. My dog is a husky mix and is almost 4 years old. She loves dogs of all sizes.

“Briana was very responsive prior to booking and while my pup was in her care. My pup visited with her for “day care” over a four day span. She got to the point where she would whine to go to her house in the morning to play with Duke (Briana’s friendly and gentle lab) and get lots of love. I received videos and photos during her stay each day. Briana will be my go to when I am visiting New Castle.”

About: I have had a lot of experience with dogs and cats since I was a young child. I grew up on 5 acres and we bred collies and Persians. As an adult I have always had dogs and cats. I have 6 tiny chihuahuas and a beagle and a Great Pyrenees and a cat! They are all friendly, healthy and up to date on vaccines. I absolutely love my pets and have a lot of patience for working with them and love to give them. I am available to take care of your pets as needed for potty breaks on evenings and weekends - Boarding in my home and dog walking. I live in Neshannock on a little over a half an acre. I have a small portion of my back yard fenced in for the dogs to go potty. I hope you’ll consider me for your pets needs. I am a single, fulltime working mom of 2 kiddos aged 13 and 18. I work Monday- Friday til 4:30 pm. I am available after 4:30 during the week and All weekends. I don’t have a fenced yard but I have a decent portion fenced in area off our back door and I live on a private dead end street with almost an acre of land. I use dog runs and leashes too if you prefer they be walked. I am very careful and protective of my dogs. They are very loved and well cared for and I will treat your dogs the same.
“WOW! What can I say about Gina and her family.... 5 Star A+ experience, Again! This was my second time leaving my pups with Gina and her family. Last year they had a great experience, and this year was more of the same. They immediately reconognized Gina and were soooo happy to see her again. We were in town working a vendor event and Gina and her family cared for my babies while I was working. I got regular updates about their feeding, pooping and playing. She took them on multiple walks each day and sent pictures each time. They have a fabulous place to care for the dogs. They have a very nice house and a huge open garage for plenty of safe play room. Their road is private with many different places for the dogs to explore on their walks. If you need someone to watch your 'babies', contact Gina, you will not regret it! I picked them up healthy, happy and worn out! They will be back next year!”

“My dog Arthur has very specific needs and doesn’t feel comfortable with just anybody. Arthur seemed to settle right in, and take over. He even ate his dinner which he doesn’t do when he’s nervous or anxious. I’m hoping that Chris will be available again sometime when I would like to get out of the house. Extremely pleased!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since a little girl. I’ve trained 2 medical service dogs so far! I’m currently learning more about specialty training. I have puppy training experience, crate training, leash training, senior care, and medication management. I’m a graphic designer and I work from home. I rarely leave the house! That means I have all the time for your fur baby! I have a large fenced back yard, and a garage that is set up as a dog hang out spot with access to water & shade from the sun! I have one very friendly 11 month old German shepherd mix who loves to play & is crate trained. I have the backyard & garage on camera, but I keep an eye on my dog regardless. I either work on my laptop from the back window, or outside! We also take walks around the neighborhood. I also have a small doggy pool! The fence is over 6 foot & secured with privacy lining.

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats alike as long as I can remember. My family, neighbors, and friends trust their fur babies with me because I treat them like they are my own. I am a stay at home wife, so my day is completely free to look after your fur babies. I have all the time needed to provide a safe and happy stay. I have a fenced yard and two of my own fur babies to keep your baby happy and entertained. The babies are allowed on the furniture and in my bed if they need it.
About: I have a dog of my own. I potty trained her and I also taught her several tricks. She is a very active dog but it's nothing I can’t handle. I walk my dog 3-5x everyday depending on the weather. I also fill their water bowl and food bowl every morning. A few times throughout the week I go to the dog park. Everyone in my home including my dog is friendly when it comes to animals. We will treat yours like family because we are a very dog-loving family.

“Ozzy enjoyed his 1st daycare visit today. He had fun playing with the other pups. Jeannine is very friendly, great with communication to set-up, drop-off and providing updates throughout the visit. We look forward to using her again.”

“Anthony and Leslie took such good care of our Harley! We received so many pictures throughout the day, so I was confident he was taken well care of. I would definitely book with them again. Thank you!”

About: I love furry friends and hope to easily win their hearts. I love getting out and enjoying the outdoors while dog walking just as much as they love taking a stroll ..stopping to smell every bush, tree and stop sign. Plus, I have a large fenced backyard for them to roam freely. We have had dogs all of my life, and currently we have a labradoodle and standard poodle puppy—both loveable and like making new friends. I’m an executive currently working on freelance projects at home which provides me with a flexible schedule. I thought this would be a great way to earn some extra cash - helping other people out while I have doggie time in the neighborhood. Thanks for considering my dog services. I'm home and working part-time so I have flexibility to care for your pets. It is easy to drop by or go for a long walk. I have a fenced in yard and it is easy to provide them with plenty of room to run around in the grass to play and stretch.
“Michael was absolutely amazing. We got video updates, as well as pictures while my husband and I were out at Kennywood. It took a lot for us to leave our baby for the first time, but Michael immediately made us feel comfortable. He also has quite the impressive set up that accommodates all dogs needs. Amare’ didn’t want to leave when we picked her up! We will absolutely be returning customers. If you’re thinking about booking him for your dog, read no further and DO IT! Thank you so much again, Michael!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple pets over the years from dogs to cats to reptiles. I currently work from home! I have lots of land and there is plenty of room for your pet to run around and play! I can’t wait to meet your pet and play with them! I’m currently not working and am home almost full time with my daughter. We go on daily walks and would love to take your pet with us on our adventures! I live next to a park and have a lot of dog toys. I currently have a furry friend to keep your dog company! About: I am a single mom with 20 year old daughter who is away at college. I have a golden retriever who loves to have dog friends visit. Your pet will get the same TLC as my own dog. They will be a part of our family while they are with us. I have a fenced in yard, making it easy for your pet to be safe and get some exercise too. I have been watching dogs in my home for about 25 years. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and I am gone on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from about 10-4, so I am almost always home aside from the occasional errands. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I can always run home in the middle of the day if a potty break is needed. Accidents are ok too. Mine has had a few over the years. Your dog will never be in trouble if this happens. You won’t have to worry about your dogs when they are with me. They will be treated like family. I work from home, so your pets will rarely be left alone. When they are, it is just for brief periods for when I running errands. I have a fenced in yard and w very friendly fur baby of my own. I can let them out frequently and always supervise outside even though my yard is fenced. I am able to feed them if they are here during meal time. I will just need to know if your dog is food possessive so I can make sure they eat separately from my dog. Unfortunately I can’t leave your dogs food down throughout the day because my dog will eat it.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Altman
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 190 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Altman. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Altman commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
