“Ariadne did a great job caring for our puppy for a day on short notice! It's easy to tell that she loves animals and had a great time playing with our pup. Her fenced in backyard was an excellent and safe environment for our small dog.”

“Michelle was very nice, friendly, had good communication and was flexible. My pups had a great time and I definitely would recommend. I’ll be booking her again in future for sure!”
“Though new to Rover, Maritza was very good with our 15 yo Havanese Cisco for doggy daycare. There were two larger and younger dogs present as well. She’s working from home now, so she can take the dogs on frequent walks. She will soon have a large fenced in yard…even better! I will definitely use Maritza again, for overnights too.”

“Klaudia and her crew welcomed our anxious pup for daycare and he came home happy and actually seems to a bit less reactive to other dogs after a day with Winston and Bruno! Klaudia checked in several times and sent photos, which we loved, showing Loofy getting lost of attention. We're looking forward to doing an overnight in the near future.”

“Melanie was great with Haylee and provided a fun day for our little girl. This was the first time we have used a dog day care with Rover and were not sure how Haylee would be. Melanie took time to meet us and Haylee. It was a comfort to know Haylee was in good hands as we got pictures and updates.”

About: I have always loved dogs. I have one dog at the moment and dog sitting fulfills my need for a second dog. I recently lost my first dog, Peekaboo the Cockapoo, and have been heart broken ever since. I do have an amazing dog Moose (3y/o 40# all American brown dog mix) and I don’t want her to ever feel lonely so hosting dogs or going to walk other dogs has been a great way for her to get personalized one on one attention! I love my dogs so much they bring me so much joy we love to take walks around my beautiful neighborhood 3 to 4 times a day we have space to play and beds to lay on and take naps in the sun, we look forward to getting the chance to meet you all soon ! I work full-time from home with a digital marketing career. I am able to monitor my animals all day. Every day we go for 3 to 4 walks around my mile and a quarter neighborhood block. I have tons of space for your dog to be crated or to nap on their bed or to nap on my bed I am very attentive to my animals needs. I typically know that if an animal is out of sight, then they must be getting into some thing so if I see that they don’t want to be near me, we go for a walk I’m always available for a pet or a cuddle in between my business calls. With the nearby trails, I am always out exploring with my animal friends
“Dyan does great with our pup Flynn! From the picture updates he looks very comfortable and having a good time. I know he is in good hands and will be getting plenty of his energy out walking and playing. We are excited to use her for our long vacation coming up!”

About: Lets take the stress out of going out of town and finding a caregiver for your "furry kids". Since I was young, I was called on to look after my friends and neighbor's pets while they were away. I have lots of experience training in caring for these furry friends. In more recent years I've incorporated animal therapy and animal Reiki into my holistic business practice as well. I often travel for work. ***I will be in New England from July - Sept. I'm unable to get my profile too reflect this until July*** When I'm not traveling, I'm working remotely, with plenty of time to incorporate pet care. Perfect for in house sits! I most often do in-house pet sitting for clients. A comfortable environment is key in your home or mine, so i like to provide a nurturing environment. Taking care of the needs of my furry friends is a priority whether that's exercise, administering medicine, or just some love and attention. Keeping things tidy is always helpful.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
