About: I’ve had a dog my entire life, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m comfortable with dogs that have different personalities, sizes, and energy levels! I treat every dog like they’re my own and want them to feel safe, comfortable, and happy when they’re with me I currently have a flexible schedule while I’m between jobs and looking for my next opportunity. This gives me plenty of availability to care for your pets and work around their routines Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where your pet can feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I’ll follow your instructions closely to make sure they feel safe and secure.
“Kelly deserves more than 5 stars. She is an excellent caretaker for your pets. She was very attentive to our kitties, loved the pictures she sent every visit, and is super reliable. She was excellent with administering eye medication to our cat. We had a joyful time away knowing our pets were in great hands!”

“Zach is just the best and we are happy to have him in our area to help with our kitties. We can enjoy our trips knowing our pet are in good hands. Thank you Zach!”

About: I have had a love for pets since I was a child. I have a deep empathy for them and I enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality, each has their own quirks and I love that. Makes each pet unique. I’m currently working full time Tuesday’s through Thursday’s (6am - 5pm.) I am more open to availability of late drop-in visits & walks in the evenings. I have two dogs at my home so I’m no stranger to managing multiple dogs at once. I can easily crate your dog if needed and offer to keep up with their training if that’s something you may be interested in.
“Stephanie left really good, detailed feedback from every visit. Which I really appreciated!! I could tell that my pupper was taken care of well while I was out of town and I would be very happy to work with her again in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover for my boys, and I am so happy that we were able to have Caitlin as our first sitter! She has a wealth of knowledge with animals, and she understands animals wants and needs. She made sure our boys were happy, safe, loved, fed, watered, and comfortable, during her drop-ins. They loved hanging out with her, and I know they are looking forward to the next time she visits! 😁”

“Lauren has now watched our kitties for the third time, and each time we are so pleased and relieved each time she visits. The short narrative of her visit, along with pictures, let us know KC and Phoenix are in great hands! With each visit, and now multiple bookings, we can see KC is extremely comfortable with Lauren. Unfortunately Phoenix just loves to hide...but they too will one day be friends. We highly recommend Lauren for anyone who needs loving care of their pets.”
“Danielle was great! Our pups instantly connected with her and were more well behaved for her then they are for us 😅 Truly appreciate her for helping us out last minute and the pups look forward to their next walk with her.”

About: My first pets were 2 rats. I took care of them exclusively, bathed them, fed and cleaned up after them. The family cat Simba was mainly my responsibility with occasional help from family, and I would take care of our family dog Bentley when I was home for summers from college. I've helped care for several other animals when babysitting children, and occasionally dog sat overnight for other families over a 3 day weekend period. I've also loved my time volunteering at the local dog shelter where I walk, clean up after, and play with all the dogs up for adoption until they find their forever families. Also enjoyed a 6 week program at a dog shelter in Athens, Greece in 2024! I’m in town for the next six weeks with open availability! I’d love to work as much as possible and give your fur baby anything they might need. I care for all pets as if they were my own, making sure they have all the attention and care they need and then some.
“Mary was wonderful! She happily came to meet my dogs before the first Rover visit (I requested). One of my dogs is very timid. During her first visit, I received pictures of my timid dog who clearly had warmed up to her! Mary is great!”
“Heather took exceptional care of our cat while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She came every other day to replenish food/water, clean out the litter box, and replace towels on the floor since our cat is now peeing on the carpet. (She even did a laundry load of towels-going above and beyond!) She stayed at least 30 minutes and sent me several pictures each visit. I would highly recommend her to anyone and we will certainly use her again!”

About: I have had a lot of animals all throughout my life and am very respectful of their boundaries. I make sure every pet is well loved, respected, and fully taken care with food and water and also walks and treats! I’m available anytime of the day durning the week or weekends, I am very flexible and reliable I have my own vehicle and a valid drivers license. I make sure they have food and water all the time and take them on walks when needed. I make sure they are loved and that all there needs are taken care of and that they have food and water.
“Courtney was amazing! This was the first time we have had to leave our dogs with someone other than family, so we were a little nervous since our dogs can be a handful with their anxieties. The first time our dogs met her, they were already comfortable with her. Throughout our vacation she was always in touch with us and sent us pictures. Even though we are back now, the dogs still look excitedly in the morning to see if she is coming, so we will definitely be using Courtney again in the future!”

“Isabel was a life-saver! We booked very last minute, but she took great care of our pups while we were out of town. She followed our instructions perfectly and the dogs seemed very happy with her. Highly recommend!!”

“Alexandra is super responsive and prompt! She is great with my pups and completed everything I asked her to and more. She is so good with my boys, I highly recommend!”

“If I could do a 10* I absolutely would. She took such great care of our boys and sent us the most adorable photos while we were gone. Alleviated all sense of worry I had before. Thank you for going above and beyond I appreciate it so much!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Baltimore. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
