“Our pups had a wonderful time with Leslie. I knew they would when we did a meet-n-greet. She is a loving dog person and they knew it right away. Her home is beautiful and accommodates dogs - lots of toys, blanket to snuggle in or rest next to Leslie on sofa. Backyard is big and fenced in - a doggies dream backyard. Leslie sent fun pictures and kept us up-to-date on their potty breaks. She walked the pups on a walking trails near her home which my dogs loved. Hopefully next time they will get to see the Canadian geese which visit the local pond regularly. We are so excited that Leslie has started Rover sitting — she is a gem and we are already signing up for another daycare sitting. 🙏🐾❤️”

Sadly, my pup passed away earlier this year and while I am not ready to get another dog of my own, I am excited to help care for yours and give you peace of mind while you are away. I have had little and big dogs in my life and am open to all sizes. Your dog does need to get along well with children as my kids love to play with dogs. They are also used to having a senior dog around as our dog aged so they also know when to give a dog space and be gentle. I work from home most days and your dog will have free rain of our house. We also have a beautiful nature trail right behind our neighborhood. I love to spend time playing or just chilling and petting/loving on your dog. We do have stairs so your dog needs to be comfortable on stairs or small enough to carry. I will follow whatever your food/med/walk routines are.

About: With the exception of a few years during college, I have always had animals in my life! I grew up always having a cat and a dog in the house and taking progressively more responsibility for their care as I got older. Now, I'm owned by two dogs (a boxer mix and a lab mix) and two cats, one of which followed my boxer and I home one day and decided to stay. They are by far the best part of my day. With all these fur babies, I've run the gauntlet of pet care challenges, from pilling cats, to dealing with allergies, to working on behaviors like marking and excessive barking. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but what I do know is that it's made me incredibly patient and compassionate with any animals in my care. Plus I've learned a trick or two along the way! I currently work for myself (from home) as a research consultant. While I do have periodic meetings throughout the week, I usually have a significant amount of flexibility in my schedule during the mornings and afternoons. I often find myself going out on multiple long walks throughout the day and generally finding any excuse I can to be outside. So why not use that time to hang out with some new animal friends? My flexible schedule means that I can accommodate most any pet needs. I go for multiple walks every day both on my own and with my own dogs, so it's easy to incorporate lots of activity in your pet's day. I also have an enclosed front porch that we all love sitting outside in the shade on, just enjoying the fresh air. And on hot days, I even have a kiddie pool that one of my dogs likes to play in to cool off. Both my dogs are very friendly and would love to make new friends! One of my cats even enjoys horsing around with the dogs. My dogs have free reign in the house, but usually hang out with me. I'm happy to have your dog(s) make themself at home as well or to crate them if that's your preference.

“Great experience boarding my dog with this family! I met up with them prior to boarding and after talking with them, I could tell this was going to be a great match! My dog is high energy and it’s really important for me to know that she will have fun while she’s staying somewhere. This family understood this and really went above and beyond to give me peace of mind while I was away. I could tell from the photos and videos that my pup was cared for the way I would care for her. She and her family cared for my dog with so much love, as if Peanut were her own. Her kids were also so sweet and played so nicely with Peanut — it really made her stay extra special.
