“I met Thomas first at the dog park and then found him on rover when we needed someone to watch our dog at the last minute. Came back to a well exercised, happy dog. About: Freedom is my actual birth name (preferred btw) So here at Freedom Cares 🫶🏼 I believe all animals have their own unique level of care needs. I grew up with a variety of furry friends from a very young age. I remember being 3 and hiding in my Nanas room with Kittens and snuggling them trying to feed them with my (dolls play baby bottle) and. My experience with animals Includes dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, ducks, turtles, cows, fish and more. Animals are always drawn to my calming energy, regardless of where I am. Farm, fair, friends house, walks, etc. I Firmly believe my Biological mom named me Freedom for a reason. I am a private caregiver to those with disabilities. Therefore my schedule is quite flexible. I can do drop inns, boarding, overnights, walks and more. Some of my clients even enjoy pet therapy. As long as the pet owner is up to that. 😊 As a kid I had many animals and experience with farm life. Including 4H training for dogs. I most recently have experience at a dog daycare. Where we practiced techniques from The Dog Guru. More importantly each animal/client/prospect is different. Therefore, I will follow the clients/animals routine. Whether the animals need long walks and extra attention. Or just a quick drop in and some fresh water. Or extra lovings while their owner is away. Your animal/animals will surely be taken care of.

“We wanted our pup to get more socializing during the day while we are at work and Maegan turned out to be perfect. She is very responsive, flexible with our drop off and pick up times, and very trustworthy. Her and her family are also very kind and sweet and they make a great home for our pup to enjoy during the day. They have a dog of their own and she watches other dogs on occasion as well and everyone gets along great because of Maegan. We can’t thank her enough for how she cares for our dog.”

“Emily was so professional and loving with our best buddy Ebbet. He can be shy and nervous, and Emily was incredibly patient and thoughtful giving Ebbet time and space to acclimate to a new person. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful. Ebbet loved her, and he is choosy with his love 💗”

About: Hello! My name is Catherine, and I’m passionate about caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Growing up with Newfoundlands, I’ve developed a deep love for big dogs and have enjoyed training them in water activities. My experience extends beyond just my personal pets; I’ve worked in kennels and as a petsitter for family, friends and neighbors where I gained valuable skills in dog care and rehabilitation, particularly with dogs facing challenges like fear-based aggression. Currently, I share my home with three dogs: two energetic Boxers and a fun-loving Chihuahua/Pug mix. I appreciate the unique personalities and needs of both big and small dogs! One of my dogs is a certified therapy dog, which has brought as much joy to him as his new friends. In addition to dogs, I have a deep love for cats (although my partner is allergic, so I'd love to come over and play with yours!). I have cat-sat before and would love to take care of your kitty. I have experience caring for various animals as a farmhand, including ducks, chickens, and sheep. This diverse background has equipped me with the skills to manage different temperaments and needs in pets. I also have experience with dogs that have special needs, including my deaf dog, senior dogs, and others that have required extra patience and understanding. I believe every pet deserves the best care tailored to their individual needs. My philosophy is that whatever decision is right for your pet is also the right one for you as an owner. I regularly pet sit for family, friends, and neighbors, providing companionship, playtime, and cuddles. I’m great at managing mealtimes and administering medication, ensuring your pet feels comfortable and safe while you’re away. Whether it’s playing fetch, going for walks, or simply relaxing on the couch, I aim to create a nurturing environment that your pets will love. Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I look forward to potentially welcoming them into my home! Let’s connect and discuss how I can provide the best care for your furry (or feathered, or scaled) family member! I currently work full-time from home but with a flexible schedule. I am completely free on weekends. Due to my flexible schedule, I can be available for pet care during the day with enough advance notice (generally one week). Otherwise I am available every day before 8pm, after 5pm, and available on weekends and ESPECIALLY holidays! I will care for your pets in the manner that is the most familiar and comfortable for both you and them - this will always be a discussion prior to our first appointment. I am comfortable with crates, harnesses of all sorts (including gentle leaders), prong collars (but NOT metal chain collars!), slip leads, treat dispensing (everyone's favorite, of course!), clicker training, muzzles, electronic collars (which I am trained on and have been using for 12+ years, especially with our deaf dog), I will respect room and house boundaries (for both myself and your pet), litterbox cleaning, I will wash their bowls daily and as needed, play-based training and rewards, brushing, grooming/bathing as needed, etc.

“Amanda was fabulous!! I’m so happy we found someone relatively last minute to look after our pup while out at a padres game/dinner (we’re from out of town). We would use her again if we were locals!!”

Katie M.
“I have had the privilege knowing Katie since she was three years old, ever since the first time she stepped onto my dance floor. She has dedicated herself to dance ever since. In dance class she showed her dedication and hard work through practice and determination to make her self better year after year. She always showed up on time, came prepared to class, and had a lot of self discipline that is required when dancing. It was this hard work and dedication that stood out to me. When she got older I hired her to help me teach my younger dance students. Over the years Katie gained more and more responsibility in helping me teach. I felt comfortable enough and trusted her to fully teach my dance classes when I was sick or could not make it to class. Not only was she responsible and reliable her rapport with the students was excellent. My student loved Miss. Katie and always asked about her when she was not there. Katie is an amazing woman and I would highly recommend her.”
