Jessica has been walking our dog since April and she has been terrific! We feel very lucky to have found her! She’s reliable, kind, and intuitive with our dog. She sends midday reports on her walks which are super helpful. I always come home to a calmer pup since Jessica started with us. We’re hoping to hire her for a longer sit at some point, too. Jessica is great!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds my entire life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I truly love animals and treat every pet I care for as if they were my own. I’ve been pet sitting for several years and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family members. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. My flexible schedule allows me to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and companionship they’re used to while you’re away. 🐾❤️ My home is a safe and comfortable place for your pet to relax and feel at home. I have a partially fenced-in yard where dogs can safely enjoy some fresh air, play, and stretch their legs. I also have a screened-in porch that’s perfect for lounging and enjoying the outdoors while staying safe and secure. Your pet will be treated like part of the family while they’re here! 🐾❤️

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.

About: I’ve pet sit for multiple dogs, and my pup loves having friends. I telecommute and minimize my time out of the house on petsitting days. Occasionally I have foster dogs and won’t be available for services in my home on those days, but I’ll update my calendar. I live in a great neighborhood to walk dogs. I’m able to use lunch breaks to take your fur baby out for some mid day exercise. I have the sweetest dog to keep your fur baby company. I stay in the same room to make sure everyone is having a good safe time. I’m in a residential area so if boarding, your pup will have safe walks in my neighborhood.

About: Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a lifelong dog-lover and I just go gaga for descendents of wolves of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. My mother actually says that my first word as a baby was "dog", so I think it is simply fate that I am here today. I grew up with a magical Golden Retriever named Chessie and a spunky wire-haired Dachshund named Emma. I loved playing fetch with Chessie in the backyard, grooming Emma and trying to tame her spikey fur, and walking them together all around my hometown. As an adult, friends and family trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their dogs. And later, I was lucky enough to adopt a very special 7-year old mini-Australian Shepherd named Lexi who had been surrendered by her previous owner. Lexi had intense separation anxiety and some health issues with her kidneys, so after all that she had been through, it was so wonderful and rewarding to love and care for Lexi and watch her regain her confidence and trust in people and thrive. Being her dog-mom was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life and I miss her so much. As your pup's new friend, it is my mission to give them that same level of attention, care, and admiration. Dogs have infinite space for love and joy and we have so much to learn from them, so I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am a work-from-home creative type so I have lots of time and space in my schedule to take care of your pup! I am available for walks, playdates, and drop-ins, Monday through Friday 8am - 6pm and I also offer boarding. I live in a large first floor two-bedroom apartment that's right next door to my building's dog park. Enriching town parks and trails are super close, along with a community teeming with all sorts of dog-lovers and dogs. My home is a warm and welcoming spot for your dog's vacay!

About: I’ve taken care of a sick dog and a rabbit for 3 years now on separate occasions when the families go on trips. I always make sure to play with the animals. I’m available pretty much all the time. I have a class from 11:00-11:50 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that I have to attend and I babysit from 1:00-4:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but otherwise I am all yours (and your animals) I will make sure that everything is in place when I leave and I will keep the house clean! I will of course also take care of your pets and play with them!

About: Friends and family members have trusted me to care for their furry loved ones for as long as I can remember. Our furry friends deserve just as much love and care as we do. I work from home three days out of the week, so I am able to care for pets during the day. I am also incredibly available throughout the weekends and each weeknight. I maintain a consistent daily routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime to keep pets feeling secure and comfortable. I keep clients updated with photos and updates on their pets' well-being, so they can feel confident that their furry friend is in good hands. I create a pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for pets to roam, play, and relax. I ensure all areas are pet-proofed and free from hazards. Pets receive lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles. I offer enrichment activities like toys and outdoor walks.

About: I’ve taken care of many pets in my life as I used to live on a farm growing up. I treat them all as if they’re my kids. I have a part time job as a nurse at a nursing home and I have two children in the home but over the ages of 15, other than that I have no young kids or other pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play! As well I have a park 2 mins from my home that I can take any pet I’m caring for.

About: If your dog is a rescue who's still figuring out the world, or just a creature of habit who thrives on routine — that's exactly who I do this for. I work from home, so I'm able to follow their schedule: same walks, same feeding times, same special treats. The only thing different about your dog's week is which human is holding the leash (and cuddling on the couch). Send me a message to set up a meet-and-greet — I'd love to hear all about your pet. Working from home means your dog has company during the day, not just a check-in at mealtimes. I build my schedule around the pets I'm caring for, so your dog's feeding times, walks, and favorite spots on the couch all stay as consistent as possible. The goal is for your dog to feel like not much has changed. When we're outside, your dog has my full attention. I skip dog parks to avoid the risks of unpredictable dogs, illness, or overstimulation. I only care for dogs from one household at a time, so your dog always gets my undivided focus. During the warmer months, I stay on top of tick checks and heat management to keep your dog safe and comfortable. I'm comfortable administering oral medications and I closely monitor food intake and potty patterns so I can flag anything unusual.

Was in a last minute mind and Laura came to the rescue. She took the best care of my babies. Fully kept me updated how they dogs were doing and sent pictures. The dogs had a great time with Laura! I was so relieved to see how happy they were in all the photos. When I got home they were very calm and relaxing. They got a lot of exercise! Would highly recommend Laura!

About: I have loved and cared for animals my whole life. I especially love small dogs and understand that they need the same level of play and mental stimulation as all dogs. I have cared for cats, small animals, and chickens. I am a self employed artist with a flexible schedule. I take my own small dogs out to the local dog park every morning. I enjoy taking dogs out for walks in the nature areas and parks. I have two large fenced gardens at my home and allow my dogs to enjoy off leash time there. I understand that importance of keeping dogs on leash and cats indoors.

About: We have had dogs in the house since I was three years old and we were all responsible for caring for them. I’ve seen dogs through the puppy and training stage to the old age medication and care stage. My dogs were big Labradors, and I dog sat for many people with medium and small dogs at all stages of their lives. There’s not much your dog could throw at me that I wouldn’t handle with confidence and experience! I am currently attending an acting conservatory, the only days that that takes up my whole day are Thursdays and Friday's. Mondays and Tuesdays I’m free after 2, and Wednesdays I am free until 1! Weekends my schedule is wide open and I can work any time, and I am available every night of the week for overnights! With all the animals that have gone through my home growing up I know every pet is different. I follow the owners lead when it comes to how to care for them and never try to push my personal pet care habits on anyone. Everyone has a different relationship with their pet and I am here to respect and emulate that as best I can when you have to be away from your best friend! You and your pet are the boss!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your New Baltimore. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Baltimore. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
