About: I’ve taken care of a sick dog and a rabbit for 3 years now on separate occasions when the families go on trips. I always make sure to play with the animals. I’m available pretty much all the time. I have a class from 11:00-11:50 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that I have to attend and I babysit from 1:00-4:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but otherwise I am all yours (and your animals) I will make sure that everything is in place when I leave and I will keep the house clean! My mother actually says that my first word as a baby was "dog", so I think it is simply fate that I am here today. I grew up with a magical Golden Retriever named Chessie and a spunky wire-haired Dachshund named Emma. I loved playing fetch with Chessie in the backyard, grooming Emma and trying to tame her spikey fur, and walking them together all around my hometown. As an adult, friends and family trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their dogs. And later, I was lucky enough to adopt a very special 7-year old mini-Australian Shepherd named Lexi who had been surrendered by her previous owner. Lexi had intense separation anxiety and some health issues with her kidneys, so after all that she had been through, it was so wonderful and rewarding to love and care for Lexi and watch her regain her confidence and trust in people and thrive. Being her dog-mom was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life and I miss her so much. About: I have experience dealing with a high-energy English Springer Spaniel since she was a puppy! I helped train her in basic commands using positive reinforcement and have walked her regularly for 7 years. As of right now I’m currently a junior at SUNY Geneseo and will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-3 and during the weekend 9-5. Your dogs safety is my top priority. I will make sure to learn the commands they respond to and their personality. Earning their trust is extremely important to me so they feel comfortable and safe in my care.
About: We have had dogs in the house since I was three years old and we were all responsible for caring for them. I’ve seen dogs through the puppy and training stage to the old age medication and care stage. My dogs were big Labradors, and I dog sat for many people with medium and small dogs at all stages of their lives. There’s not much your dog could throw at me that I wouldn’t handle with confidence and experience! I am currently attending an acting conservatory, the only days that that takes up my whole day are Thursdays and Friday's. Mondays and Tuesdays I’m free after 2, and Wednesdays I am free until 1! Weekends my schedule is wide open and I can work any time, and I am available every night of the week for overnights! With all the animals that have gone through my home growing up I know every pet is different. I follow the owners lead when it comes to how to care for them and never try to push my personal pet care habits on anyone. Everyone has a different relationship with their pet and I am here to respect and emulate that as best I can when you have to be away from your best friend! You and your pet are the boss!

“Amanda was great with our dogs. She listened carefully to each of their needs and made sure to accommodate particular requests. Amanda was prompt in getting back to us anytime we reached out and sent us occasional photos of the dogs playing or resting. She has a lovely home and large fenced-in backyard where the dogs could run free and get plenty of exercise. We felt at ease knowing our precious pups were kept safe and warm while we were away!”
