“This is our second booking with Dakota and I will definitely hire her again! She was patient and flexible as I changed the booking. She’s professional, responsible, clearly a dog lover and an all around great human!”

“Laura was not only my first booking on Rover, but my first non-friend dog-sitter ever and she made it such a lovely experience for both me and my pup. She was so engaged with Tipu during our meet & greet that he was immediately charmed. During the drop-in visit, Laura took the time to run him through his commands to give him a little mental stimulation to break up his crate time. Will definitely use again.”

“Cheyenne was prompt, flexible, communicative and compassionate and took care of my Indigo and Remy beautifully while I was away! I felt a peace of mind and at ease with her knowing her experience, and Remy felt almost immediately comfortable in her presence, which speaks volumes since he can tend to be skeptical of strangers. I would absolutely keep Cheyenne in mind for future sits!! Thank you so much, Cheyenne!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. We have a 2 year old golden puppy who is treated as if she’s part of the family. She is soo loved and so spoiled. I also worked at a groomers shop so I have a lot of experience with different dogs. I am currently working part time and attending short days at college four days a week. I have a lot of free time though and especially on my weekends I have a lot of time At home my dog has a perimeter collar so she is free to wander about our yard as she wishes. When I am dog sitting I always have the dog on a leash and I stay outside with them the entire time they are outside
“We had the absolute pleasure of having Sarah take care of our four dogs—Max, Tito, Maya, and Booboo and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, she was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about what she does. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure each of our dogs received personalized care, attention, and love. Managing four dogs is no small task, but she handled it with ease and confidence. We could tell our pups felt comfortable and happy in her care, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated regularly, which we truly appreciated, and it was clear that she treated our dogs as if they were her own. When we returned, everything was in perfect order, and our dogs were relaxed and well cared for. We highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring dog sitter. She is simply amazing!”

About: I’ve had animals throughout my entire life. When I was younger, my parents ran a boarding kennel and my father bred dogs. I grew up on a farm with about five horses, 35 dogs, several cats, a bird, lizards, fish, hermit crabs, etc. My father trained my brother and I to race sled dogs at a young age and we did that for several years along with horseback riding. With that being said, I have extensive experience with different types of animals, and I am confident that you’re fur baby will be in good hands and have the time of their life while under my supervision. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to hear from you soon! I am currently working at a private residence where I make my own hours , so I have plenty of time to take care of your baby! I can accommodate you and your pet(s)in whichever way you desire! I usually bring my little tuxedo cat with me on trips if it’s an overnight, but if you would rather me not, we can always work something out and discuss our options! (:

I have 3 dogs and 7 cats and 1 horse so i know everything there is to know about taking care of them
About: I have plenty of references and experience with pet care. Growing up, I always had a dog and cat in the home. Currently, I live in an apartment and can’t get a dog. My boyfriend is allergic to cats, so I can’t get a cat either 😢 But I have plenty of friends and family who I have given pet care to. I can read animals pretty well and always prioritize their needs. I currently work full time but would love to use any extra time I have to help out your family. I work 3pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday. I am available all weekends unless my calendar says otherwise. When it comes to caring for pets, I prioritize their needs and make sure they have everything needed. I like to keep the parents in the know of how they are doing and update with pictures as often as possible 😊
“Ellen took wonderful care of our cat Seven while my husband and I were out of town for several days. She sent detailed updates daily with photos, made sure to give Seven lots of playtime with his favorite toys, and kept our home in spotless condition as well. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a responsible, communicative sitter who loves cats!”

“Katherine is truly exceptional. She cared for our senior pets — a 14-year-old dog and a 10-year-old cat — with such empathy, patience, and attentiveness. From the moment we met her, her calm demeanor and genuine care for animals put us completely at ease. She arrived on time, followed our pets’ routines to a T, and went above and beyond to ensure they felt comfortable while we were away. When our dog wasn’t feeling well one evening, she even canceled her own dinner plans to stay and monitor him — a gesture that spoke volumes about her sense of responsibility and compassion. Katherine was very attentive to both our pets, and it was clear that their well-being was her top priority. She kept our home spotless and maintained clear, thoughtful communication throughout our trip - a tremendous help in reassuring us. Her care for living beings goes far beyond “just a job.” We feel so grateful to have found her and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and deeply responsible pet sitter.”

About: I’ve pet sit for multiple dogs, and my pup loves having friends. I telecommute and minimize my time out of the house on petsitting days. Occasionally I have foster dogs and won’t be available for services in my home on those days, but I’ll update my calendar. I live in a great neighborhood to walk dogs. I’m able to use lunch breaks to take your fur baby out for some mid day exercise. I have the sweetest dog to keep your fur baby company. I stay in the same room to make sure everyone is having a good safe time. I’m in a residential area so if boarding, your pup will have safe walks in my neighborhood.
About: I have been dog sitting dogs since I was a teenager. I have experience with many different breeds both big and small. Since I don’t have any pets of my own right now I love being able to go meet new furry friends and play with them I have a pretty flexible work schedule. I can make my own schedule based off of the needs clients may have. Depending on when your pets need care I can adjust my schedule accordingly It is my pleasure to keep your pets company while you are away. I am happy to help out with whatever is needed. I am reliable and will keep your pets company while you are away.

“Very professional! I did not have time to meet her in person before the holiday, but she was very pleasant and kind over a video chat! She kept my little kitty very happy and I am glad to have booked her”

About: I have years of experience taking care of my dog who is dog reactive, extremely energetic, occasionally resource guards, etc. I also have experienced going through professional training with said dog. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Baltimore. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
