“I had such a great experience! My dogs clearly had an amazing time and looked like they were having the time of their lives. Brooke was very attentive and kept me updated throughout their stay, sending pictures every day and letting me know how they were eating and doing. I really appreciated the communication and knowing that they were being well cared for. When they came home, they were completely worn out, which tells me they had a wonderful time! I’m very happy with the care they received and will definitely be using Brooke again. Highly recommend!”

“No words to explain how amazing she truly was as a dog sitter! My boy Marshmallow had amazing time playing with her doggie! He was worn out and the next day was ready to go back! She kept me updated throughout the day of his stay! I highly recommend and will use her again!”

“Kelly was super sweet! She sent pictures over the weekend she had our dog and had a great fenced in yard for our energetic staffy to play and sniff.”

“Tracy is the best! She took such good care of my dog, Will, he thinks he was at doggie camp! He had the run of the yard, got along well with other dogs, played his favorite games, took long walks. Excellent communication. Tracy sent frequent updates and photos, let me know how he was doing everyday. I had an extended unexpected travel delay, and Tracy was just great! I highly recommend her, and I definitely hope she’ll be able to take care of my Will the next time I travel.”

“Marisol was wonderful in caring for our large breed dog! She kept us up to date and sent us pictures throughout our dog's stay. She was very prompt from the beginning with communication. With our approval she even did a great job trimming our dog's nails! Would highly recommend and will use her in the future!”

“Edward was AWESOME!!! He's very quick to respond and professional. He will always give you updates and photos while you are away from your babies. He was very patient with my anxious Aussie as well. Feel safe and secure with Edward watching over your pets!”

“Kaitland and her family gave love and Wonderful care to my dog. Mila , my dog looked happy, calm, and well taking care of when I picked her up. This made me feel so great. Thank you Kaitland and your family!!”

“Gissell was absolutely amazing! I just moved to the area and was heading to a family reunion when our original sitter had to cancel due to a death in the family. I was so worried about where my pups would stay, but Gissell swooped in with a quick response and immediately put my mind at ease. She treated my dogs like royalty — like they were part of her own family! They had an absolute blast, and I could tell just by how happy and relaxed they were that they truly loved being there. I will absolutely be booking with her again for all future stays. Highly, highly recommend!”

About: I have been a dog mom my whole life! I grew up on an animal rescue farm while also volunteering at an animal shelter. I then worked at a dog boarding facility (Pet Paradise) in college so I have endless experience caring for all kinds of pets and farm animals. I am a mom to a 17 year old American Bulldog, 11 year old Corgi, 3 year old tripawd pup and a 21 year old tarantula. I work from home full-time M-F 9-5 with minimal an flexible meetings (also my husband is home by 2pm each day). This means I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies and keep them happy while you enjoy your time away! I have more than a 1/4 acre of privacy fenced yard with trees and squirrels to chase. I also have 3 sweet dogs to make you pup(s) comfortable when they are staying with me.
“Fantastic couple! Made our trip so much more relaxing knowing Cherry was in great hands! They sent so many awesome pics and messages throughout her stay that let me know we’d made the best choice. We will definitely rebook with them!”

“Nothing but good things to say about this visit for our Dog. Josie sent updates every day and we could tell our dog had so much fun at their home! She even delivered our dog back to us at end of stay! Amazing experience and we’ll do again!”

About: Hey pet parents! My name is Skyla & I am one of the biggest dog lovers you will ever meet. I love having dogs stay with me and want them to feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away! They get plenty of attention, walks, and lots of playtime in my fully fenced yard. I have plenty of toys and treats, and they’re welcome on the furniture and encouraged to make themselves at home. I keep crate time to a minimum, so they’ll spend most of their time out with me playing, on a walk, or hanging out in the house. Your dog doesn’t have to be dog-friendly to stay with me. If they’d rather play with me, have their own space, or do their own thing, that’s completely fine! I’m happy to give each dog the kind of attention they’re most comfortable with. For everyone’s safety, dogs must be housebroken, crate trained, flea-free, and comfortable around people. I also have a boarding FB page if you’d like to check me out further: The Dog House Pet Boarding All dogs get daily yard exercise + one on one playtime + walks. My job is very flexible (part time hybrid) so I am home most of the time. I do have large crates and pens available for your dog to stay in if you wish. My home is furnished with plenty of dog toys and treats, so your pup will always be occupied! Fresh water is always available. My pets are allowed on the furniture, so your dog will feel at home.
“Grandma C is by far the best Rover I have ever booked. My dog is very anxious with new people, but he immediately took to her which is really uncommon behavior for him. He was very obviously feeling comfortable and safe within minutes of arriving and I wouldn’t have wanted anybody else to watch him. She will treat your pet like it’s her own fur baby. Will definitely book again!”

“Bekah is so awesome! She is very welcoming and loving to our little Rooney. She keeps us updated along the way and shows us just how much fun Rooney, Rowdy and Felix are having. You're in good hands with Bekah and she is a really nice person!!!”

“Easy communication and very flexible. Lindsey even picked up my dogs. I received photos and they were having a great time. I also appreciate how quickly she responded to my messages. Will be coming back!”

“Marilyn and her family really loved on my boys & they had a great time! Their pup is also so nice and such a lover boy. The boys were well taken care of, came back home happy and relaxed whereas sometimes when I’ve gotten them from boarding, they’ve been stressed or sad. I can tell they had a good time!”

Alexandra was wonderful for my Darla! She saved me with a last minute booking when my other pet care fell through. She communicated each day I was away with messages and pictures so I could see how Darla was doing. I will definitely keep her first on my list next time I need a dog sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Nassauville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Nassauville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Nassauville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
