“Kamila has been taking my Goldendoodle on walks while I am at work and has been so amazing! She communicates very well with me and has been so flexible with my nursing schedule. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone!!”

About: I have taken care of all sorts of dogs through the years and find joy in going for walks around the neighborhood and playing and meeting every single dog I see. I work full time, 3 12 hour shifts a week and my other 4 days I love having something to do whether that is going on walks, popping in to make sure dogs have everything they need and having potty breaks. During drop ins or walks I like to follow the owners instructions carefully so that each pet can maintain their normal routines and reduce stress. I make sure each pet has water, any food they need, toys if able, exercise, and attention. With walks I stay very mindful of potential dangers or triggers to avoid any unwanted situations and pay attention to any sins of overheating, exhaustion or discomfort. During drop ins if a pet uses a crate I always make sure it’s locked and checked before leaving as well as leaving the surrounding how I arrived and with locked doors. It’s always fun to send the owner updates and pictures of their pet while away to ensure they are safe and getting the care they need.
“This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous, but Rio was wonderful. Great communication and cute photos of my 13 year old Shih Tzu. No complaints. Will definitely request Rio in the future!”

“Stephanie is very kind to my dogs and very professional. I'm so happy that she's helping me. I appreciate you helping me with my dogs, which is very important to me. I highly recommend her.”

“Mikayla and Curtis go above and beyond with our new pup! Having their help every day to walk Behr and spend some time with our pup has been amazing! We will continue their service!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life with different needs and personalities, I've also had family and friends come to me to take care of there pets. I'm currently working part time at a jackson animal clinic, i work 5-6 hours a day about 4 days a week. My schedule changes every week. I have a fenced in yard with two cats that are very friendly. Trust i will have full attention to your pet and make sure their needs are met.
About: In a room full of people, I would be the person who goes straight to the dog! I have always been a big dog lover and become easily attached to furry friends. I truly believe animals can sense my affectionate personality. I have grown up with 2 rescues: a spunky toy Yorkie named Chico and a loving Maltipoo named Shaggy who has passed now. I missed that constant joy so much that I got a puppy in August 2020! I still have so much love to give that I will love on your dogs as if they were my own ❤️ I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year, so I am flexible even up to the morning of at times. If your baby needs more 1:1 attention let me know so I can free up my schedule. Any bookings would be greatly appreciated! As for our home, we live in a 3 tier home with plenty of stairs & 3 beds to choose from. Our yard is unfenced but we have leashes in the ground & often get our little chihuahua neighbor who waits at the door to play. Plus we have a neighborhood fenced dog park right behind us where they run free! Carmelo is a loving & calm mannered 5yr old Mini Goldendoodle. After getting his initial human excitement wiggles out the way, he truly is a calm dog & the biggest baby. He’s gentle with the smallest of dogs, but kind of a whimp when it comes to bigger ones. Auggie is the energetic 3 yr old and can run circles around your dog to keep them tired lol He loves to play tug and race around the house.
“Heather works great with Rascal. Rascal recently had leash training and Heather works with him when she takes him out for his walk. Rascal is so good excited to see Heather when she comes.”

About: I have taken care of animals of many shapes and sizes throughout my life, from large dogs to kittens. I also have volunteer experience at KC Pet Project. I actively take care of cats and dogs of my own most days of the week around school and work, as well as maintaining other hobbies. Being able to help others with their pets is very fulfilling to me! I have experience feeding, brushing, walking, and training animals. In my clients home i would provide the upmost care for their pet and their home.
About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to gerbils, hamsters and fish. Even as a young child I was primarily responsible for most of the routine daily pet care. I'm a trained CNA with applicable caregiving skills. I also have extensive experience as a shelter volunteer having walked the dog and played with them as well as socializing the cats. I'm currently self employed as a home care aide and wish to take care of animals in between assignments or during days off. I do not have any responsibilities that would interfere with me taking care of your fur babies. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a yard stake. I live in a townhouse with an open grass backyard. I regularly take my dog to The Liberty, MO Stockdale dog park and can take yours there too if that's your preference. If you wish I can walk your dog as many times per day as you prefer. My neighborhood has paved sidewalks and walking paths that I routinely use to walk my dog daily. I have one cat and one dog and each get along with other cats and dogs very well but should there be any unforeseen issue, I can put your pet in my spare bedroom. I also own a wire dog crate for large dogs. I can crate your pet in your home or my home if you wish me to. I will take care of him or her in whichever way you prefer. I do not crate my dog but I did as a puppy to facilitate his potty training. My dog sleeps with me at night as does my cat sometimes. Both are friendly and well socialized but again, I can put either in a spare room or your pet if necessary. Both my pets are up to date on their vaccinations and they get a monthly pill for flea and tick prevention. I can do everything from long or short walks, taking them outside for potty breaks, administering food or medicine, playtime, etc.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I absolutely love being around them. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, or just hanging out, I genuinely enjoy their company. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who are still learning the ropes to older dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I always try to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I’m available almost every day Monday through Friday, so pet care fits really well into my weekly routine. I love being around animals and make time for walks, playtime, potty breaks, and check-ins throughout the day. Whether your dog needs a daily walk, some company while you’re away, or extra attention as a puppy or senior dog, I’m happy to help. I treat every pet like they’re my own, whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours. I pay close attention to their routines, make sure they feel comfortable, and follow any instructions you leave so they get the care they’re used to. My goal is always for both you and your pet to feel comfortable while they’re in my care.
“I booked Cooper for a 3-day walk with my dogs. It was really cold that week. On day 3, it was snowing, I told her that if the roads were bad, we can just cancel the walk. She came and walked the dogs that day. Really love her!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old, and my love for them is at the heart of everything I do. As an aspiring animal rights attorney beginning my law school journey, advocating for the well-being of animals is something I’m passionate about both personally and professionally. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I take the time to get to know both you and your pet to provide care that’s tailored to their individual needs. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while treating both you and your home with the utmost respect. I’m proud to have built lasting relationships with my clients. I’ve had 2–3 regular semiannual clients who have trusted me with their pets for over three years, as well as a monthly client who has relied on my care for the past year. I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including: Dogs: Shih Tzus, Shipoos, Goldendoodles, English Mastiffs, Great Pyrenees, Pit Bulls, mixed breeds, and French Bulldogs. Cats: Himalayans, Persians, and Tabbies. In addition to pet sitting, I worked as a dog bather at a professional grooming salon, where I safely handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. That experience strengthened my confidence in reading canine behavior and providing calm, patient care, even in unfamiliar situations. For me, pet care is about more than meeting basic needs—it’s about building trust, understanding each pet’s unique personality, and giving owners peace of mind knowing their companions are in caring, capable hands. I’m a student and a part time employee so I ask that you schedule 3 weeks prior to needing my services to allow me time to request time off from my other job. I can easily walk your dog for up to an hour and a half or take them to a dog park outside to play if you have a fenced in yard as I have a car and I’m a pretty active person.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
