“Lola enjoyed another stay with Aeli while we had to be out of town. The drop off and pick up is always smooth. Aeli provides us with daily photos of Lola enjoying her walks, play and relax time at her house. We have been so very happy with the experience and know that Lola has an amazing place to stay when we need to be out of town. We will definitely book again when we need. Thank you Aeli!!!!”

“Cheryl is amazing!!! My dog, who is usually wary of new people, feel in love with her right away. Cheryl was so great about sending me pics and videos, which made me feel like I didn’t have to worry at all about my doggie. I will definitely be using her again in the future and suggest you do as well!”

“Mickey was great! His entire household was very welcoming and he understood our senior dog’s needs. He was great at keeping us up to date with pictures and texts and made sure Duke was comfortable. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have always owned/ cared for pets my entire life, which makes 25 years of caring for pets. I went to SUNY Alfred State College of technology, where I received my associates degree in veterinary technology, as well as a bachelors degree in technology management Fall of 2021. I started off volunteering at animal shelters in the fall of 2016. I worked as a Kennel assistant throughout the years of 2016 to 2020. I worked as a Veterinary Assistant from 2020 to 2023. I am currently a Veterinary Technician (Emergency animal nurse) at Veterinary Emergency Group. I have animal training, grooming, and Veterinary medical experience. I work a full time job at Veterinary Emergency Group three days a week. 12 hour shifts. I can also bring pets to work with me as well. So I am available all days out of the week. I do not have a fenced in yard, but there is a hiking trail around the corner from my home where I walk my own dogs daily. Pets will never be put in a crate. (Unless you prefer for them to be crated) They are welcomed to walk around my house, on the couch, and in my bed. I feed my dogs twice a day and they get walked 3-4 times a day. Whenever I have to run errands they stay at home with pee pee pads located around the house.
“So glad I found Brittany and Benji! Felt comfortable right away leaving my beloved furry friend with her ! My dog loves her and has a blast playing with her dog Benji! Communication was responsive and friendly all throughout my dog’s stay. Highly recommend!”

“Roberta and Travis were great to work with. Fast communication and our NOAA was happy and exhausted at pick up! She played with their pup Marshall and came home a very content pup! We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Joanna was absolutely amazing with our two Setters! We needed someone a little last minute, but we really wanted a place with a fenced yard where they could run safely and feel comfortable. From the moment we stopped by for a meet and greet, we knew we’d found the right person. The dogs immediately loved Joanna and felt right at home in her yard. She made them and myself feel at ease, and it was clear they were in great hands. They had an incredible time running and playing all day with Joanna and Piglet. When we picked them up, they were happily exhausted! We’re so grateful and would absolutely trust Joanna with our pups again.”

“Henry and Kyungwon did an excellent job watching Coco. They made sure her medicine was given on time and sent regular updates. Coco was calm and content when we returned. We plan to use Henry and Kyungwon again.”

“Celeste did an amazing job taking care of my greyhound. Jolteon is terrified of cars and Celeste went way out of the way to make sure my pup was comfortable and safe. She gave him his medication without any difficulty at all. Her price is great for the care that she provides. I highly recommend booking Celeste to take care of your animals. I will be using her services be again very soon.”

“Diana is a lovely person and did great with our 2 dogs. This was our first time bringing them to a sitter and she made us feel at ease. She is very communicative and flexible, and sent us daily updates. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be booking again on our next trip!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs my whole life and they all have good experiences and they are very comfortable with me. I love dogs Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I have my own dog, Ziggy, and I’ve had my service dog, Eclipse, for two years. Living with and caring for dogs every day has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand each dog’s unique needs. As I prepare for college, I have a flexible schedule and look forward to providing dependable, loving care for your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. As the owner of Ziggy and my service dog, Eclipse, I’ve learned how important routine, patience, and positive care are. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, provide lots of walks, playtime, and attention, and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Bianca was an absolute gem! My dog spent a couple of days with her, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention she provided. Robyn was absolutely wonderful ! She’s very caring and accommodating. This was my first time leaving my dog with other than family and she made Me feel so safe leaving my dog. I’m enjoyed my weekend with no worries I will definitely hire her again and highly recommend her!!
Valentina took great care of my dog, Nubya! She was responsive and friendly throughout all of our communication and shared frequent updates with pictures. It's clear from talking to her that Valentina loves dogs and I am so glad to have found her for when we need someone to watch Nubya!

Ana was wonderful. She was very concerned about my dogs needs and asked many questions to make sure that she could give him the best possible care. She was an excellent communicator and sent many pictures of my dog who was very happy. I will absolutely use her again.

My family and I were very happy leaving our kitten with Nicole. Our kitten was happy there and got acclimated with Nicole and her family very quickly, seeing as he had never spent time with anyone else before. This showed us they gave our kitten as much love as we do. I would definitely recommend Nicole and we will be asking her to keep our kitten again if she is available. Thank you again Nicole!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
