“Briony was amazing with Cooper and he really enjoyed his time with her! It was my first time leaving him with a new person. She was very patient, communicative, supportive while I was away. She really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable with the care she provided. Cooper had several hot spots that were in different phases of healing. She was very attentive to his care and made sure he got what he needed during every visit. Furthermore, after a power outage, my fridge had a leak. She communicated that to me asap and did what she could to ensure there was no additional damage. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!”

“Kristen was fantastic with our two indoor cats and was incredibly supportive of some separation needs we had with the two during this week. Meds, play, and even a few photos of our outdoor cat kept us informed and grateful. Thank you, Kristen!”

“Sean was our first experience hiring someone to look after our girls. He was extremely responsive, kept us updated, and spent time with our babies. One of them consistently had accidents while we were gone but Sean took care of it every single day no problem. He made sure to spend some time with them in the yard and gave them some brushing due to it being shedding season! Since he lives close to us, he would pop by in to check on them in the afternoon. One of our babies started showing some scary symptoms our last night of vacation and Sean cared as if it was one of his own babies. Sean was fantastic and we highly recommend hiring him!”

About: I am a lover of all animals and have cared for many throughout my years. I am a pet parent of a beautiful pit who's a year and a half old and full of love and energy. When it comes to sitting for other I treat them with the same patience and care as I do with my own My schedule is fairly open, since I am a jeweler and afterschool arts and crafts teacher, so my mornings and evenings are very flexible durning the week. Weekends are on the busier side but let me know a week and a half in advance and I can make the time Being an artist I am very much about the details, I love to know your pets eating routines/schedule, medication(if applicable), how long of a walk to go for, their favorite toy, and type of play. I am also very vigilant to ensure safety for your pet the way I would my own.
“Absolutely outstanding care! Esontay was reliable, attentive, and clearly very thoughtful with my dogs. Not only were my dogs well looked after, but I also had total peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend and will absolutely book again.”

About: I currently am a high volume spay/neuter veterinarian assistant which includes surgical prep for 10 hours - 4 days out of my week. Along with this, I have 4 years of doggie daycare/walking behavioral experience, and two additional years of shelter medicine experience where I’ve had to vaccinate and help doctors examine animals with many different temperaments. On weekends I like to focus less on the medical and more on the personality of animals which includes walks, running at parks, car rides, dog pools and lots of treats. I will have full conversations with your fur babies because I 100% know they understand what I’m saying. I will treat them like my own and respect their boundaries and yours. My goal is to build a consistent routine with the same clients. I’ve seen the good, the bad, & the ugly in my years of experience in shelters where we took in untrained animals and helped find their personality. Working with animals is more therapeutic for me, so this doesn’t feel like a chore and I’m willing to help in the ways that I can. I currently am a high volume spay/neuter veterinarian assistant which includes surgical prep for 10 hours - 4 days out of my week. I also adopted my cat when she was three weeks old from my previous job and so I’m a full-time cat mom as well. I can feed, walk, clean and entertain in the ways that are needed. “Saniya did an excellent job with our drop-in visits. She followed instructions exactly, was very reliable, and communicated clearly and promptly the entire time. It gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend.”

About: Hi! My name is Tyson, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up with pets taught me early on how important patience, consistency, and love are when caring for animals. I currently work in childcare as a nanny and babysitter, and many of the families I work with also trust me with the care of their dogs inside their homes. Over the past seven years, I’ve gained experience caring for other people’s pets, including walking, feeding, bathing, nail trimming, and general grooming support. I also have my own Cane Corso at home, so I’m very comfortable handling large and strong breeds. Because of this, I’m confident managing leash pullers on walks and working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I pay close attention to dog body language and always aim to create a calm, safe, and fun environment for every pet in my care. I’m an active person and love engaging with dogs through walks, playtime, and enrichment so they stay happy and stimulated. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and has a great time while you’re away. I do childcare as far as being a nanny from 2:40 pm to 6 PM Monday through Friday so I am available anytime before or after that time. And I am available all weekend long. When caring for pets, my main priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for just like they would with their owner. In a client’s home, I respect their routine as closely as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions to help the pet stay relaxed in their familiar environment. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection while you’re away. If I’m caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, supervised environment where they can relax and stay active. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes, including large breeds, and I make sure every dog gets proper exercise, structured walks, and positive interaction. I always pay close attention to body language and behavior to ensure all pets are comfortable and stress-free. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident that their pet is happy and in good hands.
“Brittany did an incredible job watching my two cats while I was away for the holidays! She was so pleasant to meet before I left town and I loved hearing about her own dog and cat. I knew she would take great care of my babies. She was also incredibly prompt replying to my inquiries and flexible with my schedule. I really appreciated her help!”

“Mary is the absolute best! She’s been watching my cats for a while now and always makes me feel so safe in leaving them in her care :) they’re always well loved while i’m away!”

“We love Christian! He’s reliable, great communication, fast response time and super nice. My boys also loved him and can’t wait to have him back. We will be using him again”

About: Hi there! I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, caring for pets like dogs, cats, and even ferrets. I’m currently in college studying to become a vet tech and work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I care for pets of all sizes and personalities. I started pet sitting in August of last year and have loved every second of it! I provide personalized care, whether it’s walks, playtime, or cuddles, and I treat every pet like family. Let me know how I can help care for your furry friends—I’d love to meet them! I am currently a student, and my work schedule varies weekly, typically ranging between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM. However, I pride myself on being highly flexible and am happy to accommodate your needs with clear and timely communication. I currently have two dogs at home—a pit mix and a greyhound mix. My pit mix does not get along with other dogs, so I have experience managing and keeping dogs safely separated when necessary. I am also experienced in administering medications and ensuring pets receive the care they need. Additionally, I provide detailed updates and photos throughout the day to keep you informed and at ease.
About: I have been working with dogs for four years now! I started off walking for Wag!, and now I not only do walks, but I am also available for sittings and drop-ins! I have experience walking dogs that tug and dogs that are more slow walker; I enjoy them all! I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I am currently in school, so I have Monday-Thursday open for mornings and afternoons ONLY, and Friday and Sunday are open for books all day! I can also do Saturday nights occasionally! While animals are in my care, I love to play with them and give them frequent belly rubs! Whether they go in the backyard to play or they play in the house, I try to keep them occupied with fun!
About: Hello! I’m Adreana and I've seen the nitty, the gritty, and the nasty...nothing can scare me away, trust me I volunteered for a shelter in college lol. In terms of my tangible experience, I've logged an immense amount of hours volunteering at animal shelters and pet-sitting for various friends and family. I'm a huge advocate for exercise and fitness for pets so if you leave your dog with me, I guarantee that we will be going on runs and playing outside. I have my own fur baby and she is my whole life, I’ve even opted out of having kids ?? doggies will do. I one day hope to own my own “no-kill” shelter. If you book me I promise your dog will thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain View. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
