“Paola did a great job. She did everything that was requested to look after my cat, Trixie. Trixie would be fine either way so this was more about me and my neuroses. Paola showed up as scheduled to feed and water Trixie. She also sent pics so I could see how Trixie was doing. This is definitely the way to go and Paola was the right choice. Paola was respectful of my home and cat. With Paola’s help, I was able to enjoy my weekend away.”

“Marilin took excellent care of our French bulldog. She’s highly responsive and responsible. Her updates were clear and complete, and we came home to a happy dog!”

About: I've grown up with dogs for most of my life, and they've always held a special place in my heart. I'm now a proud Dog Mom to a playful Chocolate Lab and a loving Dog Auntie to a spirited Husky. I treat every dog as if they were my own—ensuring they’re fully cared for, safe, and happy at all times. I'm dependable, trustworthy, and always ready to help however you need. Your pup will be in great hands with me! I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to accommodate your fur baby’s needs—whether it's walks, playtime, or check-ins, I’m here to help when you need it! I’m happy to take your dog on walks, play with them in the yard or indoors, and make sure they get their potty breaks and meals on time. Just let me know their routine, and I’ll do my best to follow it closely and keep them comfortable and happy!

About: (UPDATED 07/25) Hi there! I'm Jess. I've been working through Rover for 7 years now. Presently, I offer house sitting, drop-ins, and walks. Previously, my days were filled with doggy day care (3 repeat, regular clients) and overnight boarding. For the safety of my cat and your animal, I can no longer offer day care and boarding. I work remotely in media management for a television streaming service which provides me the fortunate flexibility throughout the day to watch and care for your dogs. Your dog (or dogs!) will be in quality hands, as they are my number one priority while you enjoy your vacation, business trip, or just need a last minute sitter! I get it! You will receive timely updates as requested. As a pet owner myself, I empathize with the need to have someone reliable, trust-worthy, smart and caring. I exercise a level of care no less than I would expect for my pet. I work remotely (Monday - Friday) for a job where I can devote ample time to your dog(s). Able to walk/take out every 2 hours, if necessary. In the nicer weather, I work outside with them. No matter what, I always ensure your dog(s) are comfortable, safe, and their needs are met as if they were my own. I feel grateful to be in a flexible position in order to help you! On the weekends, I can definitely be more adventurous with your dog. I gather information from you (if not already provided), especially before staying in your home (behaviors, feeding, outside/walking schedules, training, sleeping, kenneling, restrictions, emergency care, etc). I'm extra attentive to your dog's behavior if I am new, since they're just getting to trust me. I keep their routine as normal as possible and provide a safe, playful environment while you are away.

“Louis is Awesome! He is really patient in understanding the needs of my dog. He arrived on time and spent good amount of time playing with my dog. Would love to hire him for future drop-in visits. Highly recommend”

About: I love animals and especially dogs and have worked as a volunteer at the local kennel where I would walk, feed, and overall provide love and companionship to the dogs in the kennel. I became a foster mom with a local rescue about three years ago where I take in dogs rescued from high kill shelters into my home and provide them with a safe and loving environment while awaiting their adoption. It’s been such a privilege to be part of the rescue journey and have had the opportunity to see the improvement of many dogs from sad and neglected to happy and trusting! I take pet care seriously and care for all the dogs as if they were my own. I currently work from home so can provide plenty of exercise and consistent care. I am also available throughout the week and weekend for walks and visits. I have a fenced in yard for play and exercise. I also abide by a consistent routine for food and exercise. I will care for them as if they were my own and follow any specific instructions to ensure your pet is as happy as possible. I have a seven year old shepherd and a three year old rat terrier mix who are both very friendly and love to play with other dogs!

“Joe is a great cat sitter! My shy tabby cat was happy and at ease when we returned. Joe sent nice pictures and visit cards, so I could tell my cat was happy. He followed all our directions and was good about communicating any concerns. I highly recommend Joe for any pet sitting.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for as long as I can remember! Growing up, I was the neighborhood dog walker and feeder. Now having my own dog for 11 years, I’ve experienced everything from puppy training to ER visits to prong collars and more! I’m a middle school math teacher so I am VERY free during the summer months for pet care. During the school year, I am free after school hours and on the weekends. As a teacher, I can follow directions VERY well! So anything needed for walks or drop in visits, I can do! My two dogs have lots of needs, so I understand how complex pet care can be.

About: I have a natural connection to pets. If a dog gets out of hand, I make sure to remain patient so that they have a chance to reciprocate calm energy. Not afraid of accident attendance. Big time walker. I'm currently using this to fill in some time while I'm looking for another part-time position. In the meantime, I have a lot of time on my hands. Even so, once I secure one it will not stop me from taking care of pets. I take my dog on walks and make sure he gets a good play session in our fenced-in backyard so he isn't restless. Also a great lounger if you just need a live eye on the furball.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I had a golden retriever who sadly passed away 10 years ago and then helped raise and train a collie mix with my parents. About: As a dog mom myself, I truly understand how much trust it takes to leave your fur baby with someone else. What sets me apart is the way I treat every dog like my own—with patience, love, and attention to the little things that make them feel safe and happy. I have experience with different breeds and temperaments, and I’m especially good with shy or anxious pups who need extra TLC. I’m currently a student and off for the summer, which means I have a super flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the care and attention they deserve. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m around and fully committed. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, loving, and safe environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions—so they feel secure and at home. I give lots of attention, cuddles (if they enjoy that!), and keep their space clean and stress-free.

About: I have many years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages, including senior dogs, puppies, and dogs with special needs. I'm a good observer of dogs' body language, and will adjust my behavior/level of activity to ensure your dog is as comfortable as possible. I can lift dogs with limited mobility up to 75 lbs. I've completed basic obedience, agility, and pet therapy certifications with my own dogs, so I would be happy to continue whatever training you've initiated with your dog (following basic commands, not pulling on the leash, etc.). I've taken care of up to 8 dogs at once, so I'm comfortable with multi-pet households! I'm flexible and willing to do a walk or a visit on short notice. I'm open to long–term or one–time arrangements. If your dog has any parks or trails that they particularly enjoy visiting, please let me know! I have a very flexible schedule. I'm currently available for walks, visits, and house sitting on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings are all fine. I want to know as much about your pet as possible—their quirks, sensitivities, likes and dislikes, favorite treats/toys/activities, etc. Your pet's safety and comfort is my priority. When possible, I prefer to meet your pet in your presence to ensure that introductions go smoothly.

“Valeria was amazing with my dogs. She was able to gain Lola's trust (my pit rescue) , many sitters have not been able to get her to warm up to them. But, Lola gets super excited when she sees her. And she was extremly patient with my 14 year old shih tzu as well. Look forward to work with Val for future sitting.”

About: I have had multiple family dogs over the years, the current one being a cutie pie named Babka. I have a lot of experience working with dogs and would love to meet yours! I work at Starbucks and have a schedule that can be a little erratic at times, so some advance notice would be great for anything more than a day. While I have to work on location, I can usually work around this by having shorter hours or, if your house is close to my job, doing a check in while on break. I care for pets by providing basics like food, water and walks, but also by providing enrichment. A lot of the time when their owners are away pets can get depressed or anxious so it's important to provide them with a fun time!

I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to look after their fur babies!”

Jess M.
“Before I would sit my dog with people through Rover, I would try my best to get my two year old Pitbull to stay with friends that he's familiar with - he becomes stressed out whenever I leave him alone. Jess has been a long time friend of mine through college and post-grad. She's incredibly caring and supportive, so I asked her first to take care of Barry the Pit, and within a few hours of me dropping him off, they became best buddies! Jess gave my dog the love and attention that he needs while I was away. She'd often send me photos of the two of them out on walks, off leash hikes (his recall is impeccable), and the nighttime cuddles. She'd update me on his eating and potty times, if there was any abnormality, and would ask what his favorite toys or treats are. Any time after his stay, Barry gets so excited to see his friend, again. Jess has been my go-to for dog sitters, knowing that my dog is in good care. I'm confident that Jess will give any other dog the same treatment that she gave my big, bratty Barry.”
