“Elaine was awesome and very willing to learn a complex medication for my special needs Kitty. She took the time to get to know my fur baby, jumped into care mode, then right back to play time. I feel confident that families and pets will love the attentive care she can provide. Thank you!”

“Paula is great! She handled my foster dog with love, care and compassion. She arrived on time of not a little early which put me at ease so I didn’t have to worry about her being late. She went above and beyond, filling my dogs pool up with fresh water, hand fed my dog when she didn’t want to eat and took her for walks. My foster dog absolutely adored her! I will definitely be using Paula in the future!! Thank you Paula!”

“Kaitlyn and Jesse were absolutely wonderful!! They cared for our sweet dogs as if they were their own!! One of our adopted dogs has a hard history and Kaitlyn and Jesse were so good with him…he warmed up to them and trusted them over the course of the booking. They were so good at letting us know each day how our sweet dogs were doing and sent fun pictures!! We also live in the countryside and had a scare with some local fires. Kaitlyn and Jesse were quick to make contact with us and tentatively plan for how to keep our dogs safe! They are so kind and friendly!! We were so happy we got connected with them through Rover and will look forward to booking with them for future times!!”

“Air was available at the last minute; I booked her less than 48 hours before the first visit and she happily took the job. She showed up on time each day and provided pics as requested. Very happy with her.”

“Maureen is always so great with our ladies. My boxer gave her a hard time for the first few times that Maureen watched them but she was so patient and now my boxer comes up to her without problem. We’ve used Maureen’s services 4+ times and will continue to do so.”

“Persia took such great of Koda! We felt so much peace of mind while we were away on vacation knowing that Koda was being affectionately looked after. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young, Helping and playing with my family’s two big dogs. Along with owning two smalls dogs as well. I was known for walking the neighborhood dogs when I was younger. I currently have my own dog. I’m currently working 4 days a week so I do have 3 days available to spend time extra time loving and caring for any animals. I am paying attention to my surroundings, as well as the placement of the dog itself to keep the dog safe from any possible harm or conflict.
About: Variety of experience from being a pet-owner to simply helping others while they are out of town. Long-term and short-term experience. Doing my best to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. I work full-time at a school and attend classes 2x/week in the evenings, but this has never affected my ability to help my clients. I always communicate my schedule and availability. I do services at the clients home. Whether just check-ins or over night stays, making sure that the pet's needs are met (feeding, water, walks & play) and getting to know their personalities to be comfortable around me.
About: Hello! I have years of experience with family and friends’ dogs, but mostly at an animal shelter ! I volunteered there for 2 years, walking, feeding, and cleaning up after different sized dogs. :) I now have a 7 year old husky named Khoda (in the picture!) that I rescued from the shelter 2 years ago. All I’ll say is huskies have lots of character, so I’m used to all of it ! Haha. With that said, I know how much energy (some) dogs can have. I would be happy to have a quick play session with your best friend ! I have also had a puppy and understand the attention it takes! I’m generally available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and love helping pet parents with walks, drop-ins, and pet care during those days. Tuesdays and Fridays are usually dedicated to my regular work schedule, though there may occasionally be some flexibility depending on the week. If you have specific dates in mind, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to check my availability and see how I can help! As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. The safety and comfort of every pet in my care is my top priority. I will follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I am also happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and receiving plenty of attention.

About: Hello, my name is a Lynette and I’m 27 years old. I’m a part time esthetician and a full time fan of animals :) I have grown up around animals my whole life. I love animals and I’m very patient and kind to all furry friends as well as reptiles, birds, and even farm friends 🥰. I was an owner of 2 disabled animals and all of my pets were rescued. I started house sitting/ animal care when I was a teenager for family and that turned into friends of family requesting me and now I would like to try a site like Rover to help out more people and their fur babies to have a peaceful and loving experience with a caretaker like myself. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I work part time as an esthetician, but can work around most schedules and I am flexible with my time. I can do check in visits, play time, baths, or extended stays if needed. I have 18 years experience of care and love for all pets. I will listen carefully to all instructions and take care of your pet and all their needs.
About: I see all animals as my own pet so I give the best care! I’ve been taking care of family and friends pets for years. Meds, baths, play time, and of course feeding! I am currently working full time M-F so I am able to work with animals that only require minimal check ins in the early morning and evening. As well as for over night stays I’m detail oriented so detailed lists of care will help me keep your pet on schedule and safe! Your pet comes first and I hope to show that in quality care. I’ve previously worked in at home human senior care giving and understand the need for trust and safety.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 998 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Mountain Home Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Home Village. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
