“Paula was absolutely amazing!!!! An angel for my family and I! It was the first time we ever used this app, and when I first met Paula I could tell how sweet she was and my dog right away liked her. She visited him three times a day, was so sweet and patient. Sent me videos, photos and updates each time. I could not recommend her more! I could tell that Matix was happy and loved her! He is older and very nervous around people but not with Paula! I loved her and had so much peace of mind! She even cleaned up all his poop in the yard. I couldn’t believe it! Thank you Paula! We will definitely rebook if she is willing! So so so very thankful to find her!”

“Sarah was great with our 2 kitties and was wonderful at helping to problem solve when one of them was struggling to adjust to us being gone. I would highly recommend her and definitely book again!”

“This trip was the first time I chose to use the app for a sitter. Boy am I pleased! Elaine was amazing and Karina toward our 2 dogs. She was on time and communicated well! I will be booking again soon.”
“Kaitlyn and Jesse were absolutely wonderful!! They cared for our sweet dogs as if they were their own!! One of our adopted dogs has a hard history and Kaitlyn and Jesse were so good with him…he warmed up to them and trusted them over the course of the booking. They were so good at letting us know each day how our sweet dogs were doing and sent fun pictures!! We also live in the countryside and had a scare with some local fires. Kaitlyn and Jesse were quick to make contact with us and tentatively plan for how to keep our dogs safe! They are so kind and friendly!! We were so happy we got connected with them through Rover and will look forward to booking with them for future times!!”

“Susana was fantastic! Beforehand, she came over for a meet and greet and was great with our dog and cat. They were well cared for the day of the drop-in and she took great care of our senior dog and her medication needs. We are absolutely looking forward to being repeat clients.”

“Ashley was an amazing sitter for my 2 cats while I was away for a week for the holidays. She sent comments and pictures for every visit, and was incredibly communicative throughout the whole time I was gone. She was even able to be flexible for one of my cats that was experiencing difficulties eating while I was gone. I appreciated being able to have someone trusting to watch my cats. I will definitely be looking to book Ashley for future pet sitting. She was amazing!”

“Persia took such great of Koda! We felt so much peace of mind while we were away on vacation knowing that Koda was being affectionately looked after. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was born. I’ve been raised with them and i’ve always seen how they can positively affect the mental state of those around. Therefore, i’d love to get any chance I get, to take care and love other animals just as much as I love my own! I am available majority of the days in the evening past 3:30. Weekends and Friday for the most part are basically fully opened. I just work my schedule around school and sports. At the moment I take care of my 2 dogs and cat inside of a town house. Therefore I do not have access to a yard so I walk them all together. I walk them every 2-3 hours and feed them in the morning and night with a mid day snack. For stimulation for the pets i’ve taught them how to use speaking buttons and I give them treat puzzles when giving their midday snack.
About: Dogs and cats have always been a part of my home life since I was a child. I have raised puppies and kittens and currently live with my dog Willow and my cat, Monkey. I walk and hike frequently with y dog, and I am able to care for high energy dogs. I have a full-time job that allows me to work three days a week. The other four days a week I have a lot of flexibility to make myself available to care for your pet. I have a fenced yard, a pet, friendly home, and a lovely white Swiss Shepherd, who loves other animals. Anytime dogs are in my yard, I am always outside supervising them. They are just like my kids.
“Booked Ellie for a check in while we were out, and she did great. I’m sure if my pups could talk, they would agree! I was a tad bit nervous as it would be the first time she would be checking in without us present and everything went smoothly. Ellie sent us updates and pictures, which we love!”

“April looked after my cats as if they were her own. The visits turned out to be more complicated than we had anticipated and vet visits were necessary, but she handled it with intelligence and compassion. I highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful with my dog. She is capable, flexible and responsible. She handles details and situations well. She really attempts to make the owner and the dog happy. She is awesome.”

About: Hello! I’ve been caring for dogs for many years. I truly love working with dogs and making sure they receive the care, attention, and affection they deserve. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make sure they feel happy and comfortable while you’re away. Currently, I am employed full-time. On my days off, such as Mondays and Fridays, I am available to provide quality care to your fur baby. I had a friendly female dog who was eight years old. She loved to play and be around other dogs. I encouraged her to play in the backyard or go for potty breaks. The backyard was fully fenced and spacious enough for her to run around and play with her toys.
“Iselle provided good care to my two Huskies. She was prompt and right on task. I very much appreciated her attentive and loving care because one of them is a senior dog and he needs a bit more time to be taken care of. I strongly recommend her, especially if you have a senior dog, or a dog who need more attention.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,019 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Mountain Home Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Home Village. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
