About: I grew up in a home that was always full of animals...both big and small. My mother has been a dog person since before I was born, so from an early age, I was attending obedience and agility classes with her, and even participating in a few competitions. By my early teens, I had become the go-to pet sitter for friends and neighbors, regularly caring for their dogs. For five years, prior to 2020, my teenage daughter and I volunteered at an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue, where we served as dog walkers and cat caretakers. That experience gave me hands-on skills with a wide range of breeds and temperaments. Until recently, I lived with two dogs of my own (my ex-partner’s pups), and I still frequently care for my mom’s two dogs when she is away helping my sister with her young children. In addition to dogs, I have years of experience fostering and caring for cats, so multi-pet households are second nature to me. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality while providing them with the care, comfort, and consistency they deserve. My tabby cat, Lavender, and moved to Bellefonte in the spring of 2025, and I look forward to meeting your furry friends! I am a part-time school teacher and am available most weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as most weekends. This availability may change based on school activities, but I will be sure to communicate with you as soon as I know! I strive to carefully read and review, then mindfully follow all care instructions left, so that your pets are stimulated, safe, happy and healthy! About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. I also frequently walk my family friend's dog who is a Labrador retriever. I grew up around dogs and learning to and caring for them, I have a deep love for taking care of dogs. I work a part-time job throughout the week, with an open availability of being scheduled (shifts can range between 5:30 am-midnight) of anywhere between 20-35 hours. Dog sitting is my happy & rewarding "side hustle". 😁 I usually have a few appointments scheduled every other week and make plans with friends/family whenever we have time. My calendar is left open as my work schedule is variable. I only block out days I will be traveling out of town. When considering booking dog care, I make sure I have the availability for your pup(s) and communicate with you about it. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away. (**The app takes 20% from my pay so what's advertised is not what I get paid out**)
About: I volunteer at the SPCA walking dogs and caring for the cats. I'm a lover of all animals. I'm very clean and responsible and care for all animals as I would a family member. I'm currently working full-time, but I'm available after 4 and all weekends and holidays. I have a dog and fours cats of my own and this seems to work for them. They are very happy. I take my dog on long walks and provide him enrichment treats and toys. I always check when leaving to make sure that nothing is out he can hurt himself with. I'm also very strict on cleaning the cat boxes as I don't want them to get sick or smell up the house. I will clean up after your pets and I will make sure they are safe and happy.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
