“I can always rely on Amber. She checks in regularly and is very attuned to my dog's needs. He's a puppy... growing and changing so much - good to know Amber understands his developmental stages.”

About: I have been dog walking and pet sitting overnight for many years. I have a golden retriever and we love making new pet friends with all of our clients. Snuggles always included! We can go on several on-leash walks daily and work on leash walking skills. I work part time so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets. I am available daily walks and check-ins, as well as for overnight pet sitting any night of the week! You just tell me how you like your pets to be cared for and I’ll do exactly that! Hopefully they like golden retrievers so I can bring my dog along for more play time!
“I would give 50 stars if I could. Marsha is extremely professional, thoughtful, kind, considerate and treated my pup just like her own. I can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I started out my pet-sitting business by taking care of people's home gardens when they left town. Many of my clients had pets and asked me to pet-sit while they were away. Over the years I have obtained many loyal clients who feel confident that their precious babies are being looked after with lots of loving attention. I am a caregiver at heart and I show my love by engaging with the animals, belly rubs, long walks and by anticipating needs! I take detailed notes of dietary requirements, allergies and other medical conditions and will very carefully cater to every need. I quickly bond with animals since I give my full love and attention and and go above and beyond to make them happy! I always miss the animals when I have to leave them! Thank you for your kind consideration!
“Sakoya was awesome and super communicative! We did a video call to show her the apartment the day before and she was attentive and played with him when it was too cold to stay out for 30 minutes. 10/10 would have her walk for us again!”

“Jeremy arrived on time to walk my pittie. Listened to all the instructions for harness and other dogs and treats, and everything went smoothly. Would definitely have him walk bambam again”

About: I have 10 years experience including CPR and first aid. I love to house sit because I know how stressful it is to leave a pet home alone or in a kennel. I work remotely allowing me to take my work anywhere and I specialize in dogs with anxious attachment disorders and high need dogs Pet sitting is my full time job. I only accept one housesitting request at a time which allows me to be present for dogs who get nervous with no one around. I always stay at my pet owners homes and am very willing to work my schedule around the pets I care for. I take requests and have dogsat special needs and pups. I do not do more than 1 complimentary meet and greet. Thank you for your understanding
About: I am based in Carbondale, CO. I am currently pet/house sitting full time throughout the summer so I'm able to provide a high level of care for pets and homes throughout the valley! I've cared for my own dogs, roommates' dogs, friends' pets, Trusted Housesitter stays, and Rover sits over the past 10 years. I've cared for dogs from puppyhood to 13 years old. I've also cat-sat for friends, Trusted Housesitters, and Rover clients over the years. I'm happy to take them on walks, hikes, dog parks, and potty/play breaks throughout the day. The longest I've watched someone's pet was for 2 months, and I loved it! I'm also happy to take them camping if that's their jam. Feel free to reach out with any other questions! A note on transportation - I have a regular vehicle (Subaru Outback) in addition to my ambulance camper. I also have a bike I often enjoy cycling throughout the valley, so parking availability at your home should not be an issue. I currently am full time pet sitting for the summer. I am very attentive and love morning, midday, fetch, and evening walks. I can take them to the dog park or on hikes, or if they're good with bikes, I can take them on even longer run/bike rides. I am very respectful and clean when staying at a client's house. I treat it like my own (if not better). I love going for walks with your pup and keeping them on a leash. I also don't give in to the cute puppy eyes when I'm eating my food and keep them to their parents' approved food and treats.
About: I grew up on a ranch caring for horses, dogs, cats, and other animals. I have also worked with therapy animals. Years of experience with pets and other animals as well. I work from home via my laptop, so my schedule can be very flexible. I can build my online work around walks and dog/cat sitting as needed. I will provide companionship and play/exercise to check in on your fur-baby while you are away at work, or I am happy to dog/cat sit in home if you are away for longer trips. I will take care of all dietary/health and exercise needs and provide lots of fun and comfort while you are gone. I will treat your pet as I would my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Crested Butte
Claire was awesome! We were on a 10 day trip and my 82 yr old parents-in-law were house and dog sitting for us, but they ended up not being able to provide the kind of exercise our active dog needs. Claire came every day we were gone to walk him, and on days where his energy level was extra high, she even would take a jog with him or give him a little extra activity so that he was delivered back to my in-laws nice and tired out. Communication was fabulous as well. And best of all, our dog loved her and would get very excited to see her! :) We highly recommend Claire!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
