About: My family and I absolutely love dogs we lost ours recently and I am not ready to get another one but would love to care for yours like he/she was our own. I have 3 very energetic kiddos that would love to play with and give lots of love and cuddles to your fur baby. I am a stay at home mom, we have no other animals of any kind so your fur baby will have all the attention when they stay with us. Please be understanding that no pets in the bed, its a very full bed already with 3 kids under 6.

We knew the minute Heidi met us at the door for our Meet and Greet with Tux, our 13-year old Bichon-Poodle, that we had found the perfect sitter. Tux felt right at home wagging his tail at her kids and Moochie, her Golden Retriever. He sniffed around, as all dogs do, and made his way outside to explore in their fenced-in backyard. We had total peace of mind leaving Tux in her care. She updated us throughout the day with pictures of the kids snuggling and playing with him. We will look no where else when we need someone to care for Tux. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking to find the sweetest caregiver for your beloved pets.

Emily is a wonderful, intuitive care person for dogs. She has two dogs of her own and a couple of other dogs that board with her. I have a non-altered female and she cares for a non-altered male. I won't be back because of that, but no fault of Emily's.

We are new with Renee, Kuro has been consistently going in for day care for the past 3 weeks and I must say he has a blast. He is happy to go there, gets to play with other pups. Renee is patient and very attentive. She accommodates requests and also goes that extra mile to care for our pup. Thank you Renee.

About: I’ve had pets since I was a kid. I love animals, as they are the most loving and authentic little beings. I’ve always had dogs and have taken care of family/friends/neighbors’ dogs when needed. I offer boarding, walks, a fenced in yard and socialization with my children and my own pets. Your pup will be in good hands and loved! My household always has an adult home for walks or ability to go out in the yard at anytime. We pop in and out on sports practice days in the evenings and for games on the weekends. Never more than 2 hours at a time. I have a large fenced in yard, can crate your pup and can offer walks, the ability to sit or lay on furniture, socialization for my kids, and socialization for my dog and other pets

Jesse helped us out with a very last minute request to watch our dog for the day and we’re so glad we found her! Our dog had a great time at doggie day care with Jesse and her family. They provided her with lots of exercise and play, as well as lots of love. I showed up to one happy dog at the end of the day. Jesse is a good communicator and provided updates and pics from the day. We would recommend Jesse for any dog sitting needs!

About: As the proud owners to two wonderful little rescue dogs, a cat, some chickens, guinea fowl, goats and sheep, we know how hard it can be sometimes to find care for your pets and farm animals while you are away. We will provide the same level of care and kindness that I would want and expect for our own spoiled pets. Trust is an important part of pet care and petsitting, and we want you to be able to confidently, and without worry, leave your pampered pups and kitties in our care. We live on a small farm in rural Western Maryland, about 20 minutes west of Frederick. We have experience with all kinds of animal care, from horses, cows, goats, sheep, and poultry. We are currently able to provide drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and a variety of farm animals, as well as house or farm sitting, and in home boarding, as well as hourly dog park style use of our large fenced yard. Your pets will be a happy addition to our family in our home! Our whole property is fenced by 4 ft or taller board and wire fencing, with smaller areas sectioned off in the front and back yards. The driveway is gated and secure. We want your pets to feel as safe as our own. Leah and Andrew are both available for petsitting services. We currently work only at home, tending our farm homestead, and have a flexible schedule. We are able to drop in one or two times a day, or less or more often, as needed. We treat every animal as if it were our own and provide a level of care that we would expect from our pet care provider.

As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner myself, I understand that pets are family, and I treat them as if they were my own. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience, comfort, and attention. I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique personality and routine, whether that means playtime and enrichment for younger pets or providing a calm, nurturing environment for older companions! I believe in building trust with both pets and their owners through reliability, communication, and compassionate care. I love getting to know each pet’s individual needs, favorite activities, and little quirks. Whether it’s sticking to a feeding schedule, administering extra TLC to anxious pets, or making sure your furry friend gets plenty of cuddles and playtime, I always go the extra mile!! My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and spoiled while you’re away, giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands! As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine! I work in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but I come home during my lunch break each day to care for my own pets and check in on any furry guests. Outside of work, your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, and personalized care to help them feel right at home! In My Home: When caring for pets in my home, I strive to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and any special instructions provided by their owners! Pets in my care receive plenty of attention, affection, enrichment, and supervision. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or simply relax, I make sure they feel right at home and are treated like part of the family! In Clients’ Homes: When caring for pets in their own homes, I understand how important it is to maintain consistency and respect their familiar environment. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications (if needed), walks, playtime, and household routines to help pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their furry family members are happy and well cared for. FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Mount Briar

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 667 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Mount Briar. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mount Briar commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 667 sitters in Mount Briar, 92% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
