“Julie did a great job. She and my dog connected right away and I felt safe and secure with having him be in her care. She was responsive, professional and follow-through on all that we agreed on. I highly recommend her and will be calling upon her in the future as the need presents itself.”

About: I have been a veterinary technician for the last 19 years. I have spent the majority of that time working at a small animal practice, but also worked at an emergency and specialty practice for 4 years during that time as well. During my career, I have dealt with numerous c-sections, geriatric, diabetic, and renal patients. Meaning that, injections, SQ fluid, oral meds, etc, are not a problem.. I have also done pet sitting on the side for many years during this time as well. I have always had a love for animals. I currently own a 9 year old mixed breed dog, as well as a cat, and chinchilla. I have had many pocket pets over the years as well. I currently work full time, overnights only, on the front end of the week. I plan accordingly, to make sure the pets needs are met before and after work shift, and spoil them extra on the days I’m off. I adjust to whatever needs the pet requires, and make our schedules work in sync so that there are no issues with bathroom breaks, or feeding/medications.

“Jessica was wonderful with Toffee! She took great care of my pup during our two days of walks, and her kind nature really shows. I’m very happy with her services and will definitely reach out to her again.”

About: I have experience working in both a veterinary clinic and a boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Through these roles I cared for pets with a wide range of personalities, ages, and needs while learning how to recognize signs of stress, illness, and discomfort. I am comfortable caring for puppies, adults, and seniors and I understand the importance of maintaining routines to help pets feel safe and comfortable. As a veterinary assistant, I also have experience handling animals using fear free techniques and compassion, giving owners peace of mind that their fur babies are in capable hands. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care and treat every pet like family. I'm currently on summer break from college so I will be available for bookings through June-mid August. I am available for weekends and weekdays when needed. I focus on maintaining your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. I follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication (if needed), and any other care requirements. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable and cared for while you're away by providing reliable, attentive care in their familiar environment
About: Reliable and compassionate pet sitter with 10+ years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. I am comfortable administering medications and providing attentive, personalized care to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Services include drop-in visits, dog walks, and overnight stays in your home to keep your pets comfortable in their familiar environment. Your pets will be treated like family every step of the way! I’m currently working part time at a doggy daycare! I’m available for drop in visits and walks upon special request, due to my work schedule, but I’m available for overnight stays 7 days a week. I provide attentive, loving care for pets in the comfort of their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar environment while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication administration, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, and plenty of affection and companionship. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I pride myself on being patient, reliable, and attentive to their comfort and well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and senior, I strive to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for at all times.
About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I put into every visit. I’m a dedicated sitter with experience watching up to three dogs at one time, making sure each pet feels valued and never overlooked. I take the time to learn their routines, quirks, and comfort levels so they feel safe, calm, and truly at home while you’re away. Whether it’s sticking to feeding schedules, giving plenty of playtime, or creating a relaxing environment, my priority is always your pet’s comfort and well-being. You can trust that your pets will be cared for with patience, respect, and genuine love. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work full-time, but I’m always available for early-morning walks before work, and I’m typically home from the office around 4 p.m. to handle evening walks, feeding, and playtime. I also work from home three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide extra attention, check-ins, and companionship throughout the day. Your pets will get consistent care and a reliable routine they can count on. In my home, your dog will have plenty of company—my own dog and my roommate’s dog are both friendly and love having a new playmate around. We live near a park, so the dogs get plenty of chances to run, explore, and burn off energy. I also keep everything organized with a shared board where I track each dog’s walk times, potty breaks, and feeding schedule. This helps ensure your pet stays on a consistent routine and receives attentive, reliable care. Whether at my home or yours, I focus on safety, structure, and making sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for.
“Elizabeth is so kind and caring and quick to respond to my last minute needs for dog care because of my job. She’s extremely Reliable and I know I can count on her to treat my dogs like her own while she is with them. She truly cares about the whole wellbeing of your animals. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello, I’m Kathryn, but feel free to call me Katie. Having worked at the ASPCA for almost seven years, animal welfare is truly at the core of everything I do. My priority is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to keeping your dog healthy and happy with meaningful exercise. I provide longer, quality walks, structured play sessions tailored to your dog’s energy level, and one-on-one companionship so your pet feels cared for throughout the day. What I offer • Consistent, clear communication • Detailed updates with photos • Longer walks • Safe handling, comfort, and routine care • A calm and patient approach Availability • Weekdays: early mornings, mid-day, after work, and late evenings • Weekends: flexible with advance notice I know my rates look a little higher, but that reflects my experience, professionalism, and the level of attention your pet will receive. I am more than happy to hop on a quick call to answer any questions before booking. I can also provide personal referrals if needed. A little about me: I have two cats, Linus and Liam, who are my whole world. I also adore dogs and grew up with several breeds including a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Mini Schnauzer, and a Bernese Mountain Dog. I hope to rescue a Great Dane someday, but until then I pour all my dog-love into the pups I care for. Skills • Leash training • Basic obedience and tricks • Brushing, baths, simple grooming • Agility exposure (from working with a Bernese) I would love the chance to care for your best friend and make sure they feel happy and comfortable until you return. I work from home, so pet care fits easily into my routine, and my schedule is very flexible. On weekdays, I’m available in the early mornings, mid-day, after work, and into the evening. I’m also able to help on weekends with a little advance notice. I have two cats at home, so I prefer to care for dogs in their owner's home. This has always worked well when I watch my friends’ dogs, as I typically stay at their house or apartment for extended periods while they’re away. It allows their pup to stay in a familiar, comfortable environment with their usual routines, rather than introducing new animals or unnecessary stress. My focus is always on making sure your dog feels safe, relaxed, and at home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
