“Bethany is incredibly professional and kind! She met the dogs briefly prior to sitting for us and was a fabulous communicator while we were traveling. I knew our boys were in amazing hands. I will absolutely be booking with her again soon!”

“Ryan is AWESOME!!! I didn't worry once while I was away from my babies and home because I knew they would be taken care of. Ryan communicated with me every day and assured me that all was well. It is hard enough to be away, but at least I knew my pups were comfortable at home with a great sitter. I was more worried about Ryan being comfortable away from his home. Great experience and we will definitely be requesting Ryan's assistance in the near future! Thanks again Ryan!”

“Jamie did a fantastic job taking care of our house+animals over the long weekend and was so sweet and flexible when our plane got delayed and we needed her for longer. We 100% will book with her again!”

“Jennifer was great! This is the second time we’ve used her and my boys love her! She was flexible and went out of her way to make everyone comfortable. We’re so happy we found her!”

“Reed did a great job taking care of our older German Shepherds and house sitting for us. He took the dogs on walks and played fetch with them. I loved the pics he sent. Will definitely use him again!”

“Autumn did a great job taking of my 3 goofballs while we were on vacation for a week! She sent me updates and pictures and even offered to exercise them everyday. It was great to know they were well taken care of and happy while I was away so I could just relax and enjoy myself. I would definitely recommend her and use her services again!”

“Francine was amazing! She stayed at our house for 8 nights with our Great Dane and Doberman. The Doberman can be a little difficult at first but she handled him perfectly and they really bonded. She sent lots of updates and pics. She was very responsive and took great care of our house. We will definitely use Francine in the future!”

“Stacy took exceptional care of my dog and cat for 4 days while I was on vacation. She went above and beyond by taking my dog on extra walks, hikes, and spent a lot of time with her. I’m very happy with her care and would recommend Stacy to anyone that wants a very happy puppy to come home to!”

“Addie had great communication and took perfect care of all of our critters while we were on vacation for the week. As well as our house. All the pups and the cat loved her. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Rose was AMAZING with our pets! Like many people, our pets are like our babies and I have so much anxiety about leaving them. Rose sent tons of updates and pictures and made the process so easy and un-stressful. She left our home so tidy and took great care of everything. We will absolutely book Rose again to take care of our babies!”

About: I’ve taken care of big dogs almost all my life, including training them after becoming a teenager. I’ve also had opportunities to help neighbors with puppies. I understand feeding schedules and those weird dog habits Right now I’m unemployed so I’m free almost 24/7! Everyday of the week, no matter the time of day. I’m a morning person so can be as early as 6am! If the clients home doesn’t have a fence I take the dog on a walk every 2 hours, maybe sooner. As well as planned play dates

About: Our home consists of myself, my husband and our poodle mix Olivia who loves to have company! We doggie sat for the year we lived in California before moving to Tulsa so don't let our repeat booking number fool you. We love caring for small dogs and have excellent references. We've recently finished caring for a Maltipoo for three months while her parents were traveling the world. Would love to hear about your pet and their needs. We have plenty of areas to walk and lots of love to give. We can take your pet with us on errands, to the park, etc. We are flexible and love poodles, poodle mixes, Yorkies, Frenchies, Bostons, Pugs, Shih Tzus, etc., but will also consider other friendlies. These are just the dogs we have had the most experience with keeping. We can take your pet on walks or with us on errands, to the park etc. We are a quiet household with one other dog and plenty of love to give. We are happy to honor owners request for special care but a regular day would entail walks and play, feeding and love. We are happy to administer meds etc.
About: I've had dogs, cats, turtles and many other animals my family & I rescued since I was 4. We were always the type to pick up strays, and get them healthy again, but we'd usually always keep them. We had a big back yard they all stayed in, and they never went far or left after we helped them get healthy again. Now I'm 25, and I've adopted my own two kitties. They're my babies and I love their silly personalities. I work full-time, so this is for sure a side gig for me, which is why I'd do it on the weekends. I might consider doing it during the week, but for now, I want to see how much or little I can handle. I only really have an apartment, but I have a big complex I can take doggies for walks in, and make sure they got all that energy out.
“Ricky is a perfect dogsitter. I came home after several days and my two dogs were relaxed and happy and the puppy hadn't destroyed the house. I plan to use Ricky again and my neighbor asked how to book him because she was impressed with him too. Thanks Ricky!”

“Megan is THE BEST!! She went above and beyond for us and our high anxiety, giant breed English Mastiff Winston. We were out of town for 10 days. Because of Winston’s anxiety, he does best if someone is in the house with him at night so she stayed in our home. She sent us updates and pictures often and was even gracious enough to video chat us when my youngest missed his pup. The last few days were rough because it was the week before July 4th so our neighbors started setting off fireworks, which scared Winston. Megan called me right away and let me know what was going on. I was able to get our vet to prescribe him some anxiety meds and Megan happily picked them up and gave them to him. My home was cleaner than I left it for her and she thoughtfully left some little surprises for the kids (who adore her as much as Winston does!) I cannot recommend Megan enough!! She is seriously the dog whisperer and such a wonderful human. She’s literally becoming part of our family now.”

As of September 2026, there are 426 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mounds. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mounds walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mounds maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mounds choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mounds. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
