“Patty and Randy were everything we could have hoped for in dog sitters! From the beginning, their communication was excellent, and we appreciated their honesty and genuine approach to caring for our dog. We especially liked that they encouraged a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure it was a good fit for everyone. They were attentive to our dog’s individual personality and needs, and their home was a perfect environment for him. Just as importantly, we could tell they genuinely enjoyed having him there, which means so much to us. We always know when our dog has had a great “camp” experience because he comes home happy, relaxed, and himself. That was certainly the case with Patty and Randy! They provided everything we look for in dog sitters: great communication, a welcoming home, genuine affection for our dog, and complete peace of mind while we were away. We sincerely hope they’ll be available for our next trip. Thank you, Patty and Randy, for being such wonderful people and taking such great care of our baby.”

“Megan made it possible for us to enjoy our vacation, knowing our boys were in good hands. She kept in constant contact with me, and I loved getting pictures and videos. My boys came back happy and relaxed. Highly recommend.”

“Gina and her husband were life savers. Our dog sitter fell through before a big holiday trip and they were able to take our pup with short notice. He seemed at home right away and continued to be having a great time during the updates we received while we were gone. We would definitely use them again and have no complaints at all!”

“Kimchi enjoys being at Megan’s and seems quite excited when he is dropped off. Her children seem very good with him (he still has a puppy temperament and is very playful). We received some very nice pictures too!”

“Kristin and Jeff took such wonderful care of our dog. It made our vacation stress-free and so much more enjoyable knowing she was in good hands. She loved their dogs and came home so happy! I cannot thank them enough. Such great people!”

“Kat and Corey were wonderful! They took excellent care of our special-needs bulldog and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear she was well cared for and loved. We would absolutely trust them with her again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, dependable sitters!”

About: Ive taken care of dogs since I was 7. From family furry babies, neighbors, and friends. I can walk, play, bathe, feed, cuddle, even nail trimming, and picking up after them. Because every furry baby deserves the best. I have a pretty open schedule. Other then my volunteer work i have nothing else going on. Whatever time you need for your furry family to be taken care of I can come to help. I am calm and patient, I am good at being stern enough and making sure im in control in terms of pet walking. I have good energy and only want the best for your furry friends.
“Our dog came back happy, healthy, & full of treats after a week with Sarah. She gave us updates to make us feel reassured our old dog was comfortable and relaxed. Would highly recommend her!”

“Kathryn was absolutely wonderful. The dogs loved being with her at her home, which was set up beautifully for dogs. They both came home very happy and it just makes our time away so relaxing knowing that our little loves are in the hands of someone as loving and caring as Kathryn. We couldn't be happier with the experience.”

“Trusted them completely with my fur babies. They had some anxiety with being without the family but Shannon and David handled it beautifully and were so gracious. Would definitely use them again!”

“Chelsea came through with a last minute booking and took such great care of my boy Miles. He was happy and relaxed upon picking him up. 5/5 stars, highly recommend.”

“Theo had an active, delightful day with Danielle. Danielle sent me pictures and text throughout the day to let me know how my boy was doing. Danielle is so kind and really understood the personality of my terrier. Just a wonderful experience all around.”

“It is so hard to leave your dog with someone you don't know. After Heidi's stay with Luciana I have complete confidence that she will be well cared for. I appreciated the requirement to have a meet and greet. Luciana is organized, she's a strong communicator, and she is very safety-conscious. It helped that Heidi and Felipe got along so well, it is actually more fun for Heidi to be at Luciana's house than at ours. It also helps that Heidi is a small dog and Felipe is small too which is a perfect situation for us. I had no doubt that Heidi's diet was followed to a T (she can't digest fat), and that she was walked. Highly recommend!”

“Brittany is great with our dogs! Her home is clean and has a great backyard our dogs enjoyed exploring. Brittany sent us updates on how our dogs were doing which we appreciated.”

About: I’d make an excellent dog sitter because I bring energy, attentiveness, and a genuine love for animals into everything I do. Even without formal experience, I’m highly responsible and quick to learn, which means I’ll carefully follow any instructions to keep each animal happy, healthy, and on their routine. I’m naturally patient and observant, so I can pick up on personality and needs with confidence! Whether that means playful energy, calm companionship, or extra care and reassurance. Most importantly, I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I would treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and excited while their owner is away! I am currently working part time and going to school part time. I am free most days and want to still remain productive in any way I can. I ensure cleanliness and safety when it comes to being in someone’s home. I love to clean and tidy up whenever I can! As an introvert, I love quietness so noise isn’t something I emit a bunch of.
“Beans had the best weekend ever with Wendy and Dave! They loved on him all weekend, sent us tons of photos, and kept us updated on how he was doing! Beans also had a great time with their dog Wilbur who is such a sweetie. We would 100% leave beans in Wendy’s hands again”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mound House home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mound House.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mound House sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
