“Dorothy is great! Zoey is a timid, slightly anxious pup, but looked right at home during her first day of doggy daycare. She had a blast playing and lounging with the other pups. Dorothy is patient and very caring, and it shows. I know Zoey looks forward to going back!”

“Jaeger had a good time with Reagan. He came home happy but tired. He must have gotten plenty of exercise because it takes a great deal to wear him out. We will definitely be back. Reagan was informative, kind and kept us up to date on how Jaeger was doing.”

“Krysta and her family were great with my pups. They seemed to have had a good time there and didn’t seem to want to go home with me. I would recommend her and will book with her again.”

“Alyssa has been absolutely amazing with our puppy. I loved getting pictures and messages during the day to see how she was doing. About: Hello!! My names Tatum I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, my best friend when i was born was a weenie dawg, but i’ve had 4 dogs total in my life. I currently have 3 cuddly cats and a 1yr old, big ol handsome lab! I can do day or overnight sitting in my own apartment, I know there’s no straight access to a backyard :(( but i take my dog to the apartments dog park twice a day for 30-90mins. My apartment also has a nice big field right outside my door that i take them to go potty as many times needed! I live with my fiance and we work opposite shifts so someone is always awake! I don’t have any experience with shot medications but i sure know how to hide a pill in some chicken or cheese! We have plenty of toys to play with and my lab LOVES making new friends, he always has a ton of energy to keep your furr baby busy! If your dog needs to be crated or isn’t crate trained i can accommodate that, i have big crate here or you’re welcome to bring your own. Im available for overnight boarding/day sitting on the weekends (Fri@4:00pm - Sun@11:00pm) I work full time(M-F) 2 minutes away from my apartment and can go home on breaks. And they wouldn’t mind if i needed to leave for 10 minutes for a potty break. So if you absolutely need me to watch on a weekday i can make accommodations. My fiance will be home during the day since he works an opposite shift but probably asleep. I also have a camera in the living room. We can crate if crate trained if you feel more comfortable with that! My puppy had a bad chewing habit when he was little, so we only keep the floors clean (except for toys of course) I can easily crate your dog if needed. Dogs are allowed on furniture for maximum cuddles :)

About: While I’ve been around dogs for over 10 years, most of my hands-on care experience comes from being a full-time mama—which means I’m no stranger to routines, messes, or giving lots of love and attention! I also work full-time from home, so your pup won’t be left alone and will get plenty of care, playtime, and snuggles throughout the day. What really sets me apart is that we live a low-tox lifestyle—so my home is a clean, pet-safe space free of harsh chemicals and full of love. Your dog will be treated like family here, surrounded by sweet kids, fresh air, and a relaxed, playful environment. Whether they need a walk, a nap buddy, or a consistent routine, I’ve got it covered—just like I do for my own little crew. I work full-time from home, so I’m able to be with your pup all day. We’re a very active family that loves spending time outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of attention, fresh air, and playtime! I only offer pet care in our home, where your pup will be treated like family. We have a clean, low-tox, pet-safe environment with plenty of space to relax and play. I work from home full-time, so your dog will get constant love and attention throughout the day. Our mini schnauzer, Bogey, is very relaxed and loves being around other dogs—he’s the perfect companion for visiting pups! Safety and trust are top priorities, and we do everything we can to make your dog feel safe, happy, and right at home.

“Isabella and Jetson hit it off! Isabella was nice and I knew she would be a good sitter because Jetson, my dog, went straight to Isabella! I felt he would be taken care of and I was right! Thank you Isabella! We hope to use you again!”

About: I was born and raised around dogs all my life. I have such compassion for them and love caring for them. My dog and I are inseparable, and we rescued each other! I am kind in nature, and it carries over as I care for dogs. I am fair and honest and look at this experience more as a hobby than a job because of all the enjoyment! I went to school to train dogs and love to spend doing off the leash training twice a day with my dog, Everest! In my care, all dogs will be happy and wagging their tails in anticipation of me returning to visit them and bring joy. No dog will be left sad or disappointed. I follow a good rule, "treat others as you would want to be treated." To include pets! My dog rescues me emotionally; does your dog rescue you? Unconditional Love- Dogs are my passion! I currently work from home and take care of my dog Everest who is a 3 year old rescue Shepherd/Husky Mix who is 37lbs. We do off the leash training twice a day on our 30 minute or more walks. Come and join us! Everest would love a playmate! She is a sweet girl! I have a baby gate up that is used when I am gone at a max of four hours if needed. I have two industrial crates that were purchased at Cabellas if that is something that is needed to be used.
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life! My neighbors, friends, & family have relied on me to take care of their fur babies while they leave for vacation or whatever it may be. I’m very flexible as far as drop ins! I can come early in the morning or late at night, whichever you prefer. I can come as many times a day as needed. I rescue dogs & cats! They always seem to find me one way or another. At this time I currently have 5 dogs & 8 cats (inside & outside cats), and a rabbit. Really wanting a prairie dog but still undecided.

About: I have a 5 year old Aussie named Whiskey, he loves making friends. And I have a 4 year old lab named Kimber, she is the chill one. I currently work a 24/48 schedule. 24 hours on, and 48 hours off. On my 2 days off I don’t do much, looked into getting a part time “job” so to speak. I have a fenced yard and 2 dogs that love to play outside. I also have an old kennel that I don’t use anymore, but if your animal is crate trained I can do that too.
About: Since youth, I’ve worked on farms and ranches with many types of animals and wildlife but also resided in the city with domesticated pets. I have also owned several different kinds of dogs, cats, cows, goats, and fish. They are all fun to be around for me. Being involved with a wide range of wildlife and pets in all ages, I’ve learned how to entertain and care for fresh born all the way to upper age seniors. I love to exercise and take my pets with me so whether it’s a young pup who needs a good run or a senior dog who can only take a small walk, I know when to adjust to all. I travel for work but when I am not traveling I work from home. The best part of working from home is the time I have to be active, spend time, and play with my pets rather than boarding. I have a fenced in yard that is secure where my pets love to roam and play if they are not in the house hanging out with me. They are crate trained so if your pet has a sleep routine you need followed mine are easy enough to comply. Indoors or outdoors, my pets love to socialize but can be separated if yours prefer individual time.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
