About: I have grown up around pets especially dogs all my life. I have a sweet little dog named Taco Toast. I am looking forward to taking care of dogs and making them comfortable while their owner is away. All my friends ask me to take care of their dogs when they leave town because they know they will be in good hands. My townhouse is big, clean and comfortable. I live in Golden Hill and love it. Lots of good places to go on walks near by. My experience ranges from tiny toy dogs to large labs to over 120 pound dogs. I am happy to stay at your house as well. Also happy to check in on your pup or cat. I have experience living with cats as well and taking taking of cats when my friends have left town. I work remote from home and can be with your pup! I will change my routine to fit any needs as I can be flexible. I make sure each animal is safe and has what they need. I will communicate with you during your trip and make sure you are comfortable as well.

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life, and I have 10 years of professional pet care experience. I can care for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, chickens, and rodents. I enjoy walking, watching, feeding and just generally caring for all animals. Anytime on weekends. I am also available during the day all week except for Tuesday. About: I bring a unique combination of experience, maturity, reliability, and genuine affection for animals to every house sit. As an experienced sitter with TrustedHousesitters, a longtime business owner, and a former mayor, I've spent much of my life earning people's trust and taking responsibility seriously. I especially enjoy extended stays, where pets can maintain their familiar routines and receive consistent companionship, affection, exercise, and attentive care. I'm active, health-conscious, and love getting outdoors, making me a great companion for dogs who enjoy walks and adventures. I'm equally happy providing a calm, nurturing environment for pets who prefer a slower pace. I also understand that inviting someone into your home requires tremendous trust. I'm exceptionally respectful of people's property, attentive to details, and committed to leaving every home as beautiful as I found it. My goal is simple: happy, well-loved pets, a beautifully cared-for home, and complete peace of mind while you're away. When I'm pet sitting, my routine is scheduled around the needs of the pets I care for. I care for myself in the spaces in between. I'm mostly retired so I do a little internet in the morning and some exploring and exercise midday. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I believe animals thrive when their familiar routines are maintained, so I take the time to understand each pet's personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions before you leave. When caring for pets in your home, I provide a calm, attentive, and loving presence while respecting their established environment. I'm conscientious about securing doors and gates, maintaining a clean and safe space, and ensuring pets receive plenty of companionship, exercise, playtime, and affection—all tailored to their individual needs. Communication is equally important. I'm happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family members are happy and well cared for. As an experienced house sitter, longtime business owner, and former mayor, I understand the importance of trust, responsibility, and attention to detail. I treat every home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own. **My goal is simple: happy pets, a secure and beautifully maintained home, and complete peace of mind while you're away.**

About: My name is Christina and would love to help take care of your dog. I have summer breaks and work earlier in the day. I love dogs and have taken care of dogs and pups for years. In addition, I have my own dogs and I absolutely love them, their names are Elsa (8) and Rubble (6). Both of our dogs are rescues. I love animals and grew up with animals taking care of them and taking long walks. If you are on vacation, I am someone you can rely on and will send pictures or any updates needed during the day. During the year, I do work full time but can walk dogs during the evening. My cellphone is the best way to reach me and ask for availability over the summer (call or text). Please do not hesitate to ask if there is anything you need or have questions about the rates I have provided. During my usual work week I get up pretty early around 5:30am at the latest, and then get out of work at 3:30pm-4:30pm. The weekends I am pretty flexible on times I can come in to help with dog sitting and/or dog walking. Over the summer I have the most time to dedicate to help care for your pup, longer walks, and I can focus more on training. I have a backyard and plenty of treats, leashes, etc. Since I am a dog owner myself I also have an extra crate if needed. In my own home, my pets sleep in our bed and both of our dogs have gone through dog training, so they know basic commands such as sit, down, high five, touch, and leave it just to name a few. I understand that everyone's family is different and I respect that. Any rules you have implemented for your own pups or medication you need given I will help out with that and make sure the dog has the best care. I understand especially with feeding schedules and medication piece because our youngest pup recently went through heartworm treatments (and now heartworm neg thank goodness!). I feel like our dogs are my family members and will make sure they have the best love and care. There is nothing like the unconditional love of a dog!

About: Hi! I’m Anastasia - lifelong animal lover, cat mom, and the person who will absolutely send you way too many pictures of your pet. 🤍 I grew up with cats and two dogs, and I miss having dogs around all the time. So Rover feels like the perfect excuse to make some new furry friends. As a pet owner myself, I know how weirdly stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone new. My cat Dylan is basically my child, so I get it. When I care for your pet, my goal is to keep their routine as close to normal as possible and care for them the way you would. ✓ Lots of love, attention & playtime ✓ Walks at your pet’s usual pace ✓ Following feeding instructions carefully ✓ Respecting routines, quirks & boundaries ✓ Plenty of photo/video updates ✓ Treating your home with respect Whether your pet is super social, shy, dramatic, energetic, or just wants someone nearby while they nap, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I want you to be able to leave knowing your little (or very large) best friend is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I have a pretty flexible routine! I work from home three days a week, so I’m around throughout the day for walks, playtime, cuddles, and company. On my office days, I usually come home during lunch, which gives me another chance to check in and get outside. I’m also a big homebody but love being outdoors - weekends usually involve walks, fresh air, and spending time outside. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual schedule and keep their routine feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I always follow your pet’s usual routine and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I keep a close eye on them and follow any instructions you provide.

About: Hello 👋🏻 My name is Kaylee and I’ve been a professional pet sitter for about 5 years now. Over the course of those 5 years I’ve cared for all of the following animals: dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, turtles, lizards, hamsters, rabbits and horses. I’m in college getting an animal science degree and I’ve worked with a wide age range of animals. From puppies all the way to senior dogs and kittens all the way to elderly cats. *please know that while my listed prices are accurate additional surcharges may apply. (All prices will be disclosed before booking) I don’t have a job outside of pet care at the moment so I have plenty of availability (including during standard work hours/weekdays). I do have college classes and the occasional appointment during the week, with these being blocks of time I will need to leave the clients home to attend (which will be discussed ahead of time). However aside from that I have a plethora of time available to dedicate solely to your pet(s). *jobs that are “constant care” and/or have strict rules regarding how long the pet(s) can be left alone MAY incur a surge charge. I haven’t had a pet escape or get lost on my watch yet, and I don’t plan to start now. My childhood dog escaped once as kid, and even thought he was quickly found, it made me realize the horror of potentially losing a pet. As a result, I take pet safety very seriously. I will not walk a dog without a leash. I always double and triple check that doors are closed/locked (when appropriate).

About: I’ve always been an animal person and grown up with pets! In 2020 I purchased a franchise of Invisible Fence Brand, in Southeast Missouri which I operated for 4 years, allowing me to protect pets daily. While owning and after selling my franchise I volunteered at my local humane society as well as private boarders in my free time. In August of 2026 my pack and I moved to SoCal, and we’ve loved every minute of it! In all my experience with pets, mainly dogs and cats, I have found that I am very good with animals, I am patient especially with insecure or skiddish friends, I have no problem getting down on their level, and taking the time to build trust. I work full time but my schedule is very flexible as I work independently. My weekends are always free so whether you’re taking an extended vacation or a weekend getaway, I’m always a tap away! I am currently unable to host, however I take the responsibility entrusted in me to be in your home unsupervised seriously. I value consistent communication and punctuality. If your furbaby sticks to strict schedules I am more than happy to help keep them! My goal with my services is to offer customers peace of mind while away from the pets they love!

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Morettis Junction

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
