About: I've had a variety of pets over the years! Currently I have three cats, and one snake. I am well versed in caring for dogs, cats, snakes, birds, and isopods. I'm better with animals than I am humans a lot of the time hahaha. I also have two kids, one just left for college, and the other is 13. Currently I have a part-time job as a preschool teacher. Being part time leaves me with a lot of flexibility for care schedules. I will do my best to make sure that I meet all scheduling needs of each client, and openly communicate any conflict in advance. I care for animals however they need. Each animal is an individual and deserves to be treated as such. It's important to me to listen, and follow directions provided, as well as assessing each situation and the animal. My goal is to make sure that I am giving each pet the proper care. That can only happen with open communication with the pet parents.
“Emily did an excellent job with our girls!!! They were so excited to be able to stay home in their environment while we were gone instead of staying in a cage being boarded!! They loved having Emily come in and feed them! This is such a wonderful service and we will definitely be using Emily again!”

“This was a last minute request (the night before) and Kayla was a real lifesaver! I’m so thankful that she was able to stop in and take such good care of my pup for me this afternoon. I’m also super impressed with how professional and thorough she is! She took pictures and videos of Henry and even cleaned up the mess he had made from tearing the tape off the back of my kitchen rug while I was gone. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone needing a good caregiver for his or her dog.”

“This was the first time we used Rover, and we had a great experience with Sally. She did drop-in visits with our cat, Pearlie, while we were out of town. Sally sent daily updates and pictures which was very reassuring. Pearlie had been boarded once a few years ago with a very reputable boarding facility. I don't think anything wrong happened there, but just the experience itself took her a few week to recover from. Knowing she could stay at home with Sally's drop-in visits and care seems to have worked really well for Pearlie, and thus worked really well for us. Sally even brought in a couple of packages that arrived the day we left town. :) We would highly recommend her and happily use her services again.”

About: I am very easy going and let the pet tell me what their needs are. I dont push myself on them. I wait for them to get used to my smells so they won't be stressed by a new person. I do work full time but am able to work from home. Because of this my schedule is flexible and I can take breaks when needed to run errands and such. My home is fenced and my dogs are let out frequently as well as being taken for walks daily. My cats and dogs get frequent treats and they always have a lap to lay on.
“Tia is wonderful and kind. A big relief & a big thank you for keeping communication and photos coming in while I was away. My pets took to her immediately and I can’t say enough kind things. I’m grateful”
“Ms. Almudena was absolutely wonderful with our dog and cats - she was incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond, and expertly cared for our pets who needed medicine twice daily. Will absolutely reach out to her again to care for our fur babies while we are away!”

“Hannah was great to work with! She was prompt, had great communication, and took excellent care of our dog. She left notes and multiple photos during each drop in. Highly recommend.”

About: Growing up, my father used to breed Mastiffs and Pitt Bulls, so I am no stranger to large breeds. Since I was 16, I have taken care of multiple large families of dogs, horses, cats, etc, so even a farm full of animals is no challenge. I have 2 pups of my own; a pit bull/lab and an aussie/healer who I have had for 6 years. Any amount, any size, any breed; I will take care of yours like they’re my own. I work full time Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:15pm. I am an early riser so I can feed pets before work and will be available for walks and feedings after work as well. I will feed your animals to your specifications. With a fenced in yard, I will ensure I spend time with your pet outdoors playing, doing basic training if necessary, and ensuring physical activity as I do with my dogs. If I am watching them overnight, they will get at least one walk a day, and more if required.
“Natasha went above and beyond our expectations. My dogs adored her, and she sent daily photos, which clearly showed their happiness. I highly recommend her services.”

“Tracy did an excellent job! He was very attentive and caring with my dog, provided regular updates to let me know how the visits went, and was very responsive whenever I needed to reach out. I will absolute book with him again”

“Very happy with the job Rachel did taking care of my cats while I was away. Very good communication and always provided updates and photos. Will definitely rebook this sitter again. Highly recommend!”

This was my first time using this service and I am GRATEFUL to have chosen Antonio. He was patient, kind, and fully engaged with my senior fur baby. Dutch does not typically gravitate to people easily but there was no barrier in care with Antonio. I will definitely be reaching out again!

After my first meeting with Morgan, I was totally at ease with her taking care of Hank and Dolly Purrton! The daily check-ins and the pictures were amazing. I had to extend my trip to NYC because I was snowed in! Morgan did not hesitate to tell me she would continue to take care of my babies until I could return. Thank Heaven for amazing women like Morgan!
Anjelica is so sweet kind and attentive! I booked her for 3 drop in visits for our 2 big kitties and she was so gentle with them as they usually take some time to warm up, taking the extra mile to bond with them and bring them comfort. By the third drop in visit, or mean cat was rubbing up against her practically begging for attention! She is consistent, reliable and very communicative which brought me peace of mind while we were away and I look forward to booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
