“Hailey was a great sitter for my cat crepe! She always took tons of pictures for me to see and gave her lots of attention, as well as cleaning up after her and making sure everything was in order at my apartment. She’s great at communicating quickly with any questions or concerns she had. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Lisa was lovely! Offered to swing by before my trip to meet the cats and get acquainted which was super comforting. She provided detailed updates each time she checked in that really gave me peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend her to someone else and would love to work with her again later!”

About: Animals feel our energy and respond accordingly. I am truly an animal lover. My first dog was a West Highland White Terrier which lived to be 18 years old. She was a happy girl. Each animal, loved one, should be treated with love and care. I am currently available for dog waking seven days a week. My schedule is flexible allowing me to be available to give your babies lots of love and attention. Pets' safety is always number one. I give each baby undivided attention and lots of love. Providing an environment of trust and comfort is the key to creating a lasting relationship.

About: With 4 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m certified in dog CPR and have multiple dog handling certifications, which means your pup’s safety is always my top priority. I’ve cared for energetic puppies who need structure and training, as well as senior dogs who require patience, gentle handling, and extra love. I treat every dog like my own, with respect, understanding, and lots of belly rubs! Pet care is a big part of my everyday life. I currently work part-time as a kennel technician, so I’m already caring for animals daily feeding, cleaning, monitoring health, administering meds, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Outside of that, I make time each week for pet sitting and drop-in visits. My schedule fluctuates so I always try to work my schedule around yours! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In clients' homes, I stick closely to your pet’s routine regarding feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and any house rules you’ve set. I make sure they feel comfortable in their own space while keeping you updated with photos and messages. When pets stay with me, they get a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of attention, enrichment, and quiet time to relax. I limit the number of animals I care for at once to make sure each one gets the time and care they deserve. Your pet's comfort and safety always come first, no matter where they are.

“Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip. I’m very grateful to have found her. Thank YOU so much Nora. TBC 💗🐈🐈⬛🧘♀️”

“Jonathan was super nice + friendly! He was comfortable with our dogs instantly and also took the best pictures of our dogs during his drop in! Will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I've walked dogs in the summer for families in my neighborhood. It brings me joy and I'm excited to help the people of Santa Cruz I work 30 hours so looking to fill up to a 40 hour work week. Doing a few times a week will add extra hours and would love to fill it with dogs I will always gain there trust first. Then move on to lots of play and snuggles. Depending on there needs, always gain there trust first

About: I am attending school at UCSC for legal studies and have a robust knowledge of dog parks, dog-friendly beaches and trails from Santa Cruz to the City! If you’d like to socialise your dog, you’re in luck because I have a 10-month-old baby 🐾 of my own. We have tons of doggo friends for your pooch to meet if you choose, and no matter what, your dog is getting top-tier handling and care when you trust working with me! If there are behaviours you’d like to work on or would like me to be aware of, please do not hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss them further. I am available for full time pet care and when school resumes come the New Year, I will be available part time + still available to board if needed. There has not been an hour where I have not been in the company of 1 or more dogs since June 2024 I have a fenced yard for the dogs to go potty and run uninhibited. I have a small scale toy operation which means the dogs will have plenty to keep them occupied and if he/she would like to go home with their favourites, we can arrange for that too. I am capable of pickup and drop off as well as supervised visits to the park, creeks, the beach, trails, etc.

About: Hi! I’m Shawna — Unlike a regular dog walker, I provide one hour structured walk/runs to safely burn excess energy and reinforce calm leash behavior — ideal for high-drive dogs. I specialize in structured walks (working with dogs that pull the leash) and 2+ mile minimum walk/runs to help dogs burn energy and feel calm. I’m comfortable with strong-willed or high-energy pups. Whether your dog needs a peaceful walk, consistent leash guidance, or a good run, I bring calm, confident energy and real experience. Some dogs thrive on variety! If you’d like your pup to enjoy the beach, trails, or a park, I offer 1hr adventure outings starting at $120. This includes transport up to one hour drive time round trip, a safe and fun outdoor experience, and drop-off back home. Extra driving is billed at $60/hr (not including my own commute). Let me help your dog stay happy, tired, and well-exercised. A tired dog is a happy dog. Caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I have a high-energy cattle dog of my own, so daily walks, playtime, and structure are built into my routine. I’m also a runner, so exercising dogs through long walks or runs fits naturally into my schedule — it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I plan my days around being active and outside, which makes it easy for me to give pets the time, attention, and movement they need I’m happy to care for pets in their own familiar environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely, making sure they get the right balance of exercise, structure, and affection. I’ll respect your space, keep things clean, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I always aim to make your pet feel safe, loved, and calm while you’re gone — and make the transition as stress-free as possible for both of you

About: Since I was a kid, I have loved all animals. I was fortunate enough to learn how to take care of multiple pet cats and rabbits in our home. I previously volunteered assisting in husbandry tasks for a bird rehabilitation center, and interned with a sea turtle conservation group in order to help save hatchlings. I also assisted my family in training our pit bull mix, who was adopted as an extremely anxious and reactive year old puppy. With compassion and patience, he is now a confident adult dog. I hope to provide that same compassion and patience to other animals in addition to my own. I have taken care of a variety of pups, from pit bulls to cane corsos. I love spending my time with animals and will make sure I do everything to keep them entertained and at ease. I’m currently in graduate school, so while I am taking classes and working part-time, my schedule can be flexible. I am happy to accommodate you and your pets’ needs. As of now, I am in class from 9am-5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but am available on those days in the early morning or evening. I have availability throughout the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends. I am flexible and hope to meet the needs of each individual pet and owner. I am happy to come to your home, or take your pets outside in various parks or beaches around town.

About: I love animals of all kinds: dogs, cats, geckos, etc. My kids have left home and I have the time to care for your sweet fur-babies. I work from home 3 days a week and can easily help with your pet care needs on those days and on any given weekend. I offer pet walking, potty breaks, feeding, socializing, boarding and very limited grooming (brushing if needed). Your pet stays in the room with me as I work and we go for walks or into the yard as instructed by you.

About: Hello there! My name is Cath and my partner Brian and I live in Aptos,. I truly love taking care of all kinds of animals, I have had dogs and cats all my life and I am attuned to their needs and varying personalities. I have 5 years professional pet sitting experience and I been a dog mom to large dogs for 10+ years. Brian has been a dog parent to large dogs for 30 years. We are always the person that my friends, co-workers and neighbors come to when their dogs or cats need care. We both love spending time outside in nature, hiking, and keeping an active lifestyle your pet will enjoy. We do not own any pets, so we are always looking forward to having new companions to welcome into our home. We love to take dogs outside to explore nature, play a game of fetch, beach romps, and redwoods hikes. We are experienced with dogs from puppies to elders, especially with senior dogs. We can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! We are available for long weekends and most holidays. Our guest dogs stay, nap and play in an open environment. We want to know what would make a fun and happy stay for your dog. We live in the fog belt along the coast so it stays nice and cool here when its hot everywhere else. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: We to keep your dogs patterns as close to the way they are at home as possible. If your dog sleeps in their own bed or crate we will honor that. Typically their bed is in our room or the living room. We allow dogs on our bed, and have a dedicated dog couch so they can relax in the living room and are treated like a member of the family. My partner Brian’s schedule has recently changed so we can only board weekends, or possibly over a long weekend: We can take a Friday evening drop off at 5pm earliest, and can schedule a Monday morning pickup until 10 am or so. We live in a quiet, low-traffic beach neighborhood of Aptos, with a front and back fenced in yard, a two minute walk to a dog friendly beach, and 5 minute drive to a redwoods state park. The backyard is shared with my awesome neighbor who own a dog. The backyard has a fence that is split down the middle, and he is kept on his side of the fence. He is only let outside occasionally, under supervised conditions. We do not allow guests dogs into the backyard when he is present, until we have had time to properly introduce them. He is friendly, but we always take care to introduce dogs. Our front yard has a low fence so our guest dogs are only allowed in the front yard under supervision, the backyard has a much higher fence, and we have a sliding glass door so they can go outside easily. We can crate your dog if needed. Both yards have shade, flower gardens, and are wonderful places to take a nap in the sun.
