Not only did she take Nala on great walks at the beach, but she hung out with her in her garden, sent me lots of pictures, and did all the things that Nala loves. I’m always a little nervous leaving my baby behind, but for a second I wondered if she was having more fun with me being away haha. “Jonathan was awesome! He took great care of our dogs while we had a fun weekend in Tahoe. He took incredible pictures and updated us frequently. The dogs were instantly comfortable with him and snuggled right in. They went for plenty of walks and the dogs were happy and tired when we returned home. Jonathan was really great about asking questions and following special instructions for our dog Otis, as he is recovering from TPLO surgery. The house was also quite clean and orderly upon our return. I will definitely be asking Jonathan to come hang out with our dogs again!”

She made me feel like it was ok to leave and I was relaxed as I knew that they were in good hands. I will absolutely book Denise again to hang out with my puggies!”

About: With 4 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m certified in dog CPR and have multiple dog handling certifications, which means your pup’s safety is always my top priority. I’ve cared for energetic puppies who need structure and training, as well as senior dogs who require patience, gentle handling, and extra love. I treat every dog like my own, with respect, understanding, and lots of belly rubs! Pet care is a big part of my everyday life. I currently work part-time as a kennel technician, so I’m already caring for animals daily feeding, cleaning, monitoring health, administering meds, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Outside of that, I make time each week for pet sitting and drop-in visits. My schedule fluctuates so I always try to work my schedule around yours! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In clients' homes, I stick closely to your pet’s routine regarding feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and any house rules you’ve set. I make sure they feel comfortable in their own space while keeping you updated with photos and messages. When pets stay with me, they get a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of attention, enrichment, and quiet time to relax. I limit the number of animals I care for at once to make sure each one gets the time and care they deserve. Your pet's comfort and safety always come first, no matter where they are.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and had my own dogs since I was two years old. I often am asked to pet sit for my friends and neighbors animals. I am extremely patient and kind. Currently a college student with lots of free time. I am available almost any day and any night. I have lots of availability and time. I am in an area with lots of trails and areas for walks. I am within walking distance of a park. My house is clean and pet safe!

“Lisa was so great with Luna boy! We are grateful for her communication, pictures, kindness and reliability. We can tell Luna enjoyed her. Would definitely recommend and use Lisa again to watch our pups! :)”

About: Hi! I’m Shawna — Unlike a regular dog walker, I provide one hour structured walk/runs to safely burn excess energy and reinforce calm leash behavior — ideal for high-drive dogs. I specialize in structured walks (working with dogs that pull the leash) and 2+ mile minimum walk/runs to help dogs burn energy and feel calm. I’m comfortable with strong-willed or high-energy pups. Whether your dog needs a peaceful walk, consistent leash guidance, or a good run, I bring calm, confident energy and real experience. Some dogs thrive on variety! If you’d like your pup to enjoy the beach, trails, or a park, I offer 1hr adventure outings starting at $120. This includes transport up to one hour drive time round trip, a safe and fun outdoor experience, and drop-off back home. Extra driving is billed at $60/hr (not including my own commute). Let me help your dog stay happy, tired, and well-exercised. A tired dog is a happy dog. Caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I have a high-energy cattle dog of my own, so daily walks, playtime, and structure are built into my routine. I’m also a runner, so exercising dogs through long walks or runs fits naturally into my schedule — it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I plan my days around being active and outside, which makes it easy for me to give pets the time, attention, and movement they need I’m happy to care for pets in their own familiar environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely, making sure they get the right balance of exercise, structure, and affection. I’ll respect your space, keep things clean, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I always aim to make your pet feel safe, loved, and calm while you’re gone — and make the transition as stress-free as possible for both of you

“We had a trip planned to go out of the country and wanted the best sitters we had worked with to watch our house and our dogs while we were away. Claire and Dillon went way out of their way to accommodate us and even helped water my garden. Our trip was perfect and made more so knowing that our house and our dogs were in good hands.”

About: I am attending school at UCSC for legal studies and have a robust knowledge of dog parks, dog-friendly beaches and trails from Santa Cruz to the City! If you’d like to socialise your dog, you’re in luck because I have a 10-month-old baby 🐾 of my own. We have tons of doggo friends for your pooch to meet if you choose, and no matter what, your dog is getting top-tier handling and care when you trust working with me! If there are behaviours you’d like to work on or would like me to be aware of, please do not hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss them further. I am available for full time pet care and when school resumes come the New Year, I will be available part time + still available to board if needed. There has not been an hour where I have not been in the company of 1 or more dogs since June 2024 I have a fenced yard for the dogs to go potty and run uninhibited. I have a small scale toy operation which means the dogs will have plenty to keep them occupied and if he/she would like to go home with their favourites, we can arrange for that too. I am capable of pickup and drop off as well as supervised visits to the park, creeks, the beach, trails, etc.

Monte Toyon pet parents share their Rover experiences
Yuliya took incredible care of my cat Petunia. I could tell she truly loved spending time with her, and it made me so relieved to have someone who cared for her just as much as I do! Yuliya sent tons of cute photos and updates. She also took wonderful care of our home and even moved our laundry into the dryer for us. Can’t recommend Yuliya enough and would have her back anytime.

We had a trip planned to go out of the country and wanted the best sitters we had worked with to watch our house and our dogs while we were away. Claire and Dillon went way out of their way to accommodate us and even helped water my garden. Our trip was perfect and made more so knowing that our house and our dogs were in good hands.

Dayanara is an excellent dog and house sitter and kept our dog Loba happy and healthy during our trip. We received daily updates on how Loba was doing and returned to our house to find everything just as we left it. We'd highly recommend Dayanara to others looking for dog/house sitting!

Emilie is a great dog/house sitter! She got back to us right away about setting up a meet & greet, as well as letting us know how our dog Bella was doing when we were away. Bella was very at ease when we got back from our trip, we could tell Emilie had given her a lot of attention and exercise when we were gone. Emilie followed all of our instructions about Bella and our house. She left our place clean and neat. We will definitely be requesting Emilie again for future dog sitting!

Payton took care of my dog Mocha for an extended period of time while I went abroad to get married at my apartment. He was very good at communicating on time, sending pictures/videos, and took care of Mocha's special instructions (she's a high anxiety/reactive dog). We came back to a happy and healthy dog excited to see us again, but I can also tell that she developed a bond with Payton. Would definitely hire him again!

Hailey was so wonderful! It's a strange thing to invite someone you don't know to stay in your home and take care of your favorite little beings. But Hailey made the effort to come meet me and my pets ahead of time. She was very communicative and gave my dogs all the love they normally get. Hailey also left the house in better condition than when I left! I'm positive my dogs had a way better experience than they would have had in a boarding facility.

Nora was absolutely fantastic! She stayed in our home for a week and took care of both our pup and home so well. We had a lot of specific requests and she went above and beyond meeting all of them. She was incredibly trustworthy and caring. She communicated frequently and sent lots of good update pics of our pup. I hope she will stay with our pup again in the future! If Nora is available, book her quick!

Gabriele was an angel in a last minute stressful Petsitter search. She was perfect for our 14 yr old dog and 2 cats. Excellent communicator. She even stayed till 1 am due to our late flight arrival and we came home to a very clean home. So grateful she was available to stay with our fur babies for 1 week.
