About: Hi! I’m Shawna — Unlike a regular dog walker, I provide one hour structured walk/runs to safely burn excess energy and reinforce calm leash behavior — ideal for high-drive dogs. I specialize in structured walks (working with dogs that pull the leash) and 2+ mile minimum walk/runs to help dogs burn energy and feel calm. I’m comfortable with strong-willed or high-energy pups. Whether your dog needs a peaceful walk, consistent leash guidance, or a good run, I bring calm, confident energy and real experience. Some dogs thrive on variety! If you’d like your pup to enjoy the beach, trails, or a park, I offer 1hr adventure outings starting at $120. This includes transport up to one hour drive time round trip, a safe and fun outdoor experience, and drop-off back home. Extra driving is billed at $60/hr (not including my own commute). Let me help your dog stay happy, tired, and well-exercised. A tired dog is a happy dog. Caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I have a high-energy cattle dog of my own, so daily walks, playtime, and structure are built into my routine. I’m also a runner, so exercising dogs through long walks or runs fits naturally into my schedule — it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I plan my days around being active and outside, which makes it easy for me to give pets the time, attention, and movement they need I’m happy to care for pets in their own familiar environment. I work from home 3 days a week and can easily help with your pet care needs on those days and on any given weekend. I have experience with a wide range of dog breeds from Chihuahuas, over various Terriers, Poodles, Pitbulls, Frenchies, Maltese, Newfoundlander, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Labradoodles, to Great Pyrenees. About: I am attending school at UCSC for legal studies and have a robust knowledge of dog parks, dog-friendly beaches and trails from Santa Cruz to the City! If you’d like to socialise your dog, you’re in luck because I have a 10-month-old baby 🐾 of my own. We have tons of doggo friends for your pooch to meet if you choose, and no matter what, your dog is getting top-tier handling and care when you trust working with me! If there are behaviours you’d like to work on or would like me to be aware of, please do not hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss them further. I am available for full time pet care and when school resumes come the New Year, I will be available part time + still available to board if needed. There has not been an hour where I have not been in the company of 1 or more dogs since June 2024 I have a fenced yard for the dogs to go potty and run uninhibited. I have a small scale toy operation which means the dogs will have plenty to keep them occupied and if he/she would like to go home with their favourites, we can arrange for that too. I am capable of pickup and drop off as well as supervised visits to the park, creeks, the beach, trails, etc.

About: When I was 10 I moved with my family and my neighbors had two Rottweilers that terrified me so much that I had to cross the street to walk by their house. One day I went up to my neighbor and asked to meet them and they ended up becoming my best friends in the neighborhood, and I would feed and walk them every-time my neighbors went out of town. Ever since then I have loved dogs no matter how big or scary, and have taken care of pets for my friends and family, from little cocker spaniels to German shepherds and everywhere in between. I am currently in the midst of a job search, so my availability is open to look after and pets for the time being. I have spent a lot of time this year pet/housesitting for my parents and a few of my friends. I currently do not have any pets at my home since I have a studio apartment with not a lot of space, but I have reliable transportation and I live close to a few parks, beaches, and woods where I take dogs that I am looking after. I’m good about sticking to scheduled walk and meal times and am a fairly active person so your dog will get plenty of exercise!

About: I’ve taken care of pets of many kinds for 30+ years…dogs,cats,rabbits,hamsters,geese, chickens, ducks. Neighbors and friends have called on me often when they need help and it’s become commonplace for me to help out (mostly dogs and cats). I had to lay my pug, Sadie, to rest recently (16 1/2 years) and taking care of other peoples pets just seemed like a natural segue. Have lots of experience with senior dogs and I even have a doggie stroller if you have a senior pet but you still want them out and about! Otherwise, love taking them for walks on the beach or around town or just chilling at home , if that’s more their style. Most important, your pets will be SAFE with me and well loved I’m retired but I do work one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon taking an autistic child back and forth to school (not my child)so I can devote the rest of my time to your pets Multiple walks per day and currently no other pets or children in my home. Live in a gated community and the area has little traffic . If at a clients home, I find out what their pet usually does and try to follow their routine. When mom and dad are gone, routine helps them feel safer
