“The best of the best!! Our babies love her and always enjoy her visits. We enjoy the well written and detailed report cards and pictures while we are out of town. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter!”

“Stephanie met with us beforehand, and would stay in touch with us throughout, and anytime I had questions or anything. When she came initially, you could tell she understood how cats can be and wasn’t going to be intrusive toward them. She was considerate of our home, and even left the light on for us on the last visit knowing we’d be home soon. I’d recommend her!”

“Madison was so good with our pups. This is the first time we have hired someone to watch them as we usually go with us everywhere. She was flexible on the times and number a visits a day. It was great to not come home to stressed out puppies. Love her! Thank you Maggie we appreciate you so much! 🥰💯🐾🙌🏻🙏”

“I kept using Merit due to affordability and easy to work. She is punctual and easy to communicate. This time I missed her message about arrival time and she had to wait nearly 30 minutes because of my mistake. Instead of going back she called me and make sure she got in to feed my babies. She is the best and I use her service regularly without any hesitation. Thank you, Merit 😊”

About: I have always been very good with animals ever since I was little. I like animals more than humans so I promise to take care of your pet like it is my own. I have volunteered at the Human Society and I am going to college to work with animals so I would love to care for your pet to gain more experience. I am currently home from college so I am free all day, Monday through Friday. Then starting in August I will be home Friday through Sunday. I have an unfenced yard but plenty of yard for them to run around and I have a in ground runner that they can be put on for some freedom. I also have two fur babies to keep your fur baby company but they can always be kept separate if needed.

About: My name is Hana Freeman, I am a professional singer/dancer/actress/model, and I can't wait to show your dog(s) all the love and fun!!! I have grown up with cats( rescues and purebreds), dogs ( golden retrievers), and horses my entire life and I am an animal lover through and through. In that time I have helped raise 3 puppies (training each basic skills i.e. sit, stay, no, down, and heel) and taken care of two adult dogs through bouts of cancer and through their passing. I have experience administering antibiotics in pill form and antibiotics in dropper form. I am no stranger to ALL of the responsibilities of pet care. I am very physically fit and capable to hand large and small dogs. I am available in my weeks to accommodate your schedule, and the upcoming seasons do not intimidate me from making sure your dog is cared for and happy. I love to run and play and learn the personalities of all dogs and like to think I bring out the best in the dogs that I have cared for. -Grown up as a care giver to my own dogs so far I have had 5 since I was a child. -Can administer antibiotics in pill and dropper form -Physically fit to walk, run, and play -Not afraid to clean up waste or any other dog messes - Have had dog walking and sitting experience for friends and family - I LOVE DOGS!!!! - I have a flexible schedule Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I was a very little girl. I have grown up with golden retrievers my whole life and my earliest memory of my first dog, Koa, was taking naps on his belly when I was about two.It was my favorite place to nestle into, and honestly not much has changed! In my home our animals have always been treated and loved like members of our family. My mother is maybe the ultimate care giver and would always take in stray dogs that we would care for until their owners were either able to retrieve them or help find strays new homes. There is something so special to me about the bond between animals and humans and to me life is not as valuable with out it. My experience administering medication Yes. If it is something I have not done before a brief instruction ahead of time is required but once you show me one time I am comfortable administering any kind of medication. Im currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry loved ones! My schedule is also flexible so if anything changes I am able to be more accommodating . My care for an owner's pet or respect for their home is curated based off of each client. Of course my foundation is caring for your home and animal as if they were my own and how I would like my things and animal cared for.
“Donnis was excellent! She consistently communicated while we were on vacation and sent the absolute cutest pics of my babies. I will definitely be booking again in the future.”

About: I've had pets since I was young and have dealt with puppies and kittens through to their elderly years. Currently I care for an elderly 75lb malamute husky mix that has been with me for 11 loving years and 2 middle aged cats. I'm experienced in bathing and grooming and walking bigger breeds and I have done some kennel work when I lived in Covington. Whenever my friends go out of town I am the first one they ask to do daily check ins on their cats where I go by instructions given, clean any messes, refresh water and feed, scoop and discard litter, give them loving attention, properly lock up after finishing. Proper care and safety are my top priority. Your fur baby will be safe in my company! I currently have weekend availability, so I have plenty of time on the weekend to walk and play with your pups or stop I'm and care and play with your kitties! I have a large breed dog I currently care for. He is on a strict medication schedule for seizures and I monitor his arthritis pain to make sure he doesn't over do anything and help him of needed and to give him antiinflammatories if needed. Any kind of health issues I take very seriously and will monitor them 100%. I do not offer care in my home due to one of my cats not being friendly to dogs he doesn't know.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Monroe. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
