About: I've had Alaskan Malamutes since I was born, and have a lot of experience taking care of large dogs because of this. I can handle a dog that pulls on the leash, and have enough of an authoritative voice to get their attention and keep it. I also have 5 cats currently, two of which have strict dietary and health needs. I am capable of giving medications, as well as keeping pet foods separate from other pets if need be. I work and have school all day Monday-Wednesday every week, but I will be done with classes around 12pm on Thursdays, so I am available for overnight pet sitting gigs Thursday-Sunday. Any dog walking or pet check ins I will also be available for during that time. I always try to make sure that I get well acquainted and comfortable with each pet, and know their needs ahead of time. With my cats I make sure they get all of their medications mornings and nights, and are fed regularly. The cat boxes are changed once a day, and I play with them whenever they are in the mood. With dogs I will walk them once or twice a day depending on their activity level, and make sure to leave plenty of time to play throughout the day.

“I have witnessed Kate watching her friends "rover " dog care. The little guy was stuck in a crate while the care taker was at work. Kates heart went out to the dog and just had to let him out. He was so happy... He jumped around and followed her through the house. Kate is a great dog caregiver because she is remote most days for college classes which allows her to interact with the dog. Kate has a big heart and I've never seen a dog who doesn't like her, ours included. We have a rescue dog that loves Kate despite his poor and shy past. He cannot wait to see Kate! “James has been our go to pet sitter/house sitter for a couple of years now. We generally go on several shorter vacations and take a three week motorcycle trip every summer and trust James to take care of our two Boxers and two cats as well as our home and garden while we are gone. Our pets all come running when James arrives, which really tells me a lot about the level of care he provides (boxers will hold a grudge forever). It's a flurry of excited wiggles and dancing kitties all looking for some pets. I'm a worrier and James has no trouble sending pics or updating me whenever asked. Our high energy pups require frequent walks and regular bathing which is never a problem for James. I would highly recommend James for all your pet care needs.”
