About: I have trained and cared for my own dogs, both small and large breeds, all of my life. As a volunteer at animal shelters here in the Bay Area and in Austin, I have learned to manage and adapt to varied—and sometimes difficult—dog personalities, temperaments, and needs. I am also very comfortable with large animals, having owned and trained my own horses for decades. As a retired journalist and journalism professor, I bring trustworthiness, reliability, and excellent communication to animal care. I can provide walks, engaging playtime, comfort for anxious animals, and administration of simple medications. Please note: While I am an expert animal caretaker, I am new to the Rover platform. I am currently offering introductory rates for a limited time while I build my local profile.I I work from home as a writer/reasercher on my own flexible schedule. i can accommodate your and your pets' schedules on weekdays as well as weekends. I provide walks as needed, playtime, comforting if he or she is anxious, simple medicstions and wound-dressing, and and of course feeding and watering on their schedule.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, big and small. I’ve had puppies and seniors, I can say I have a real passion for taking care of dogs, be it little guys or big boys they all deserve lots of play time and endless walks. I work hybrid remote but am usually done working at 2, after I make sure my cat is happy I would love to spend some time walking or taking care of some dogs and cats. I always come from a place of mutual respect with animals and people, I’m also someone who comes prepared. I’ll bring snacks for training, cleansers for messes and anything in between.

“This was the first drop-in visit prior to our travel plan that should take place one week later. Therefore this visit was more like getting acquainted with each other, including the dog. Alex was good at interacting with my GSD Candy. We also had a very warm conversation. My wife and myself have trust in Alex. So does Candy. Unfortunately our cruise was canceled due to coronavirus thread. But when we use the FCC (Future Cruise Credits), we will definitely need Alex again.”

About: I have taken care of my friend's cat on multiple occasions which included feeding her, cleaning up messes, and entertaining her. I have also dog sat before for friends and dog walked for family members. I currently have a flexible schedule where I am working only some weeks and have most weekends free. On weeks when I am working I am usually free after 3 to dog sit. I have a fenced yard and a quiet neighborhood. I am very careful with pets giving them space when needed and checking on them frequently to make sure all is well.

About: Hi! I’ve always been an animal lover and very understanding of animal behavior. Growing up we always had dogs and now as an adult I’m a full on cat lady with two of my own. So you can say I know how to adjust to both whether it’s a crazy puppy or a fiesty cat, I’ve never had an issue. I love my pets like they’re my kids and I hope I can show your animals the same love! Dog walking is provided at a light pace on flat, neighborhood routes and is best suited for dogs who enjoy a relaxed, low-intensity routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine so pets feel comfortable, secure, and relaxed. In the event of illness or an emergency, I will contact you immediately and follow your designated veterinary instructions. If needed, I will also contact Rover’s 24/7 Trust & Safety Support for guidance. I ask that all clients provide an emergency contact who is located nearby and able to assist with transport or additional support if required.

I am currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 3pm. I have no pets and small children in my house. I have a fenced yard for your dog to play in. I can also walk your dog around my nice neighborhood as needed.
