About: Hello! My name is Stephanie Austin. Growing up in rural Delaware, we always had at least one family dog who we took on long off leash walks and played with in our big backyard. Having so much space allowed for the opportunity to connect, bond with, and read our dogs while they were having tons of fun and just being themselves. Fun Facts: I have previous dog sitting experience, and I used to volunteer at my hometown SPCA, where I got to learn and play with over 40 different dogs. When I graduated high school, I adopted Minnie, and she has been by my side ever since. For twelve years, she has been my hiking partner, shot gun rider, and my little spoon. I understand that your dog has their own unique set of personality traits, and I look forward to learning them and playing with them! I currently work out of town Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. About: My childhood home always had at least 2 dogs and 2-3 cats. Pets are and always have been an integral part of my idea of family. Besides my own pets, I have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets my whole life. And I love to take dogs on little adventures. Seeing the excitement on a dog when just going to the neighborhood park or wash makes the trip so much more fun. I work full time from my home and without set hours. My children are at school during most of the day. On weekdays we like to go for walks in our neighborhood in the early evening. On the weekends we like to go to the city parks and it is definitely more fun to bring a dog. I have a large wraparound yard that is fenced and a dog door which I can close when needed. About: I've been caring for friend's and neighbor's pets since I was a teen, and I would love to come give your pets some affection and exercise while you're busy or away! I've lived with many dogs with many different personalities, and have experience working with reactive, anxious, and high-needs dogs. I adopted my (2yo) dog as a puppy and have been learning a lot about puppy training too! I practice positive reinforcement training and I'm happy to turn our walks and play time into opportunities to work on your pup's training. I find treats to be a great way to befriend most pups- unless you have particular treats for your dog, I'll typically have treats to share! If your dog takes some time to warm up to strangers, or has trouble walking in places where they may interact with other dogs, I am more than happy to work through their needs with you and the pup.

“My dog is a two year old mini poodle who has had a pretty rough beginning. I adopted him at our local animal control center in February. Monique (Mo) has such a wonderful patient way of working with Lucky, Mo's voice can be either playful or in teaching mode. She praise my dog constantly. Mo taught him to "sit" in a very short time, using some treats. I have followed up with Lucky on walks, but, in effect, without treats. He holds treats in his mouth so treats are given when we get home. I bought a set of boots for Lucky for protection on our terribly hot pavements and desert rocks and stickers. He took about 3 seconds to get them off when I fastened them. But with Mo, he was willing to keep them on in the house, Walking in that high legged, convulsive, floppy fashion, Mo took him for a walk in the neighborhood. They came back in half an hour with Lucky walking normally and seeming proud of it. Its a work in progress, I can get the boots on him and have him walk around the house, but I haven't tried a long walk yet. Mo has my complete confidence and trust in her abilities with dogs. Rose F”

My dog loves Brittany and I love her too. She communicates well. She let me know my dog had an upset stomach - I had no idea he was feeling bad! Thanks to her we were able to adjust his food till he felt better. Every time we leave town we use Brittany to do daily walks. (relatives keep dog but don’t walk him- he needs his exercise!)
