About: I grew up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was young, so being around them feels natural to me. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving their dogs attention and exercise. I’m reliable, patient, and make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I wanted to become a Conservation Biologist at one point of my life instead I went into Public Health! My schedule is flexible, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. About: I have experience taking care of boarding dogs and cats at an animal hospital. I worked for them for a little over a year and have gotten lots of experience with dogs and cats. I used to raise puppies and train them how to sit and have manners for about two years with my parent. I have dog sitting experience and house sitting experience. I am currently going to school at the UofA full time during the weekdays (my class schedule is listed below keep reading) and would be available most days to come and play with the animals for 30 minutes to an hour in the afternoons and overnight sitting. And on weekends I would be free to play with and walk the animals as needed. Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

About: I grew up in Florida surrounded by reptiles of all kinds, lots and lots of dogs, a couple cats, and other assorted pawed and clawed friends. I've had dogs in my family since I was a little kid. I have a particular soft spot for small dogs and grumpy elderly dogs who just want to relax. “We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. “Our energetic 2 year old Golden Doodle just spent 5 glorious days with Lara and her family. Lara sent MANY photos and videos and it was clear that Clancy was having a wonderful time. He had never seen a horse before but learned to walk alongside one and also alongside their buggy pulled by a miniature horse! Going to Lara’s is like sending your dog to a 5 star resort. (I kind of wanted to stay at their beautiful home and property myself!) It was a comfort to know that Clancy was well cared for. I cannot recommend Lara enough! Clancy will be going back!”

We needed a last-minute sitter for our precious Pitbull, Oliver, during the New Year’s holiday, and Steve was incredibly kind, open, and flexible with the dates. It is clear from the start that Steve is a professional who truly knows what he is doing. He is deeply passionate about animals and treated Oliver as if he were his own, which we appreciate infinitely. He took Oliver to the park and managed his socialization with other dogs perfectly and he always sent pictures, what made me feel so much more comfortable being out of the state and keeping up with pictures every day of my baby; it’s impressive to see how he controls and cares for several pets at once while still providing personalized attention to each one. Oliver was so happy and well-cared for. We are beyond grateful for Steve’s work and his amazing energy. If I could give him a thousand stars, I would! We highly recommend him to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing their fur baby is in the best hands.”
