“This was the first time that we have left our dog Dot for a week. In the past, we left her for 3 days at a kennel, which was ok, but she came home sick. Jamie was willing to come to our home and discuss her watch Dot in our home. That was so important to us because we needed to meet in person the one that was going to stay in our home and care for Dot. Jamie was kind and caring, and immediately connected with Dot and Dot liked her. That was important for us. Jamie communicated clearly and timely before we left and kept us in the loop with photos and comments when we were gone. We came home to a happy dog, not stressed out, and our home was well cared for. We would recommend Jamie to anyone who wants to have a responsible, loving, kind pet carer for their pet. Thanks Jamie for caring for Dot.”

About: Hey! I’m Makayla. I just moved back for the time being as this is my home town and to be with my family for a bit! I have worked around animals my whole life from working in vet ER to helping on a ranch and I am currently a vet assistant for about 6 years now. I want to be there for owners who need to go out of town or just need help with their care here and there! I have been CPR certified for pets as well. ❤️ I work 4 days a week but always have the weekend off! If it’s close by I can either stop by before or after work to let pets out and feed them or on my lunch if it’s close by my work! I own my own home and have a large back yard. I do have cats and dogs in my house that are pet friendly. I also can make sure if they need to be separated that I have the ability to separate if need to. At no time will they be unsupervised together.

About: I worked at a pet store for 2 years and learned how to comfortably care for a large variety of animals. From squawking birds to quiet never-moving turtles. I have patience and understanding when it comes to animals needs and wants. I will go as slow as necessary for your pet to have the most enjoyable and comfortable time with me. I have two large german shepherds of my own so I am not too worried about larger dogs. I have dealt with 2 week old puppies, and 20 year old seniors. I am comfortable with any age group of dog as long as I am given the correct information and supplies needed to support your pet. I love animals and looking for a way I can spend my freetime in the summer caring for them. I will continue work and do school in the fall. However, for right now walking dogs and giving them a chance to have fun while their owners are busy or on vacation. My two german shepherds have a large fenced yard to play in and have constant supervision. They are very rarely left home alone and if they are it is no more than two hours. My 6 cats have many different toys and trees for them to climb along with catnip plants to keep them stimulated. Both of our reptiles, a Mississippi Map turtle and a Lavander Albino Ball Python, are in proper tank sizes with correct supplies and requirements to care for them.

“Makayla is a very compassionate person and has been caring for my animals for 6 years now. I highly recommend her watching any fur babies. She is very knowledgeable of cats and dogs as she is a vet tech. She is very trustworthy.”
