Lisa was my very first Rover experience and she did not disappoint. Thank you for the great photos and the report card. It’s clear that they needed the walk and break. I will be using Lisa again without question. Thank you Lisa and Rover.

I'm new to this site so I was skeptical about it. However, I'm skeptical no more; mainly because of Mariana. She's flexible, dependable, and thorough about the time spent with my pups. She also leaves a very sweet note on my kitchen counter detailing her visit with them. Overall, she's fantastic and I'm happy to continue doing business with her. ?

Christy not only goes above and beyond but her knowledge & skills are amazing! Yesterday I moved and my dog started to panic. Christy arrived and I looked to her for advice and help! Ultimately I decided my dog needed her medication. It takes a long time to kick in though. Christy took her for a walk, gaves her loves, cuddled her, talked to, etc. The more going on in the house the more panicked she was! She was trying to fight the medication. Ultimately Christy's magic worked! She loves Christy and I knew if anyone could calm her it was her!! I don't think even I could have...they have developed such a special bond 💗

About: Raised around show dogs, with 30 years hands‑on training experience. Professional educator/teacher. Loving, dog‑only care—walks, enrichment, adventures, or calm indoor comfort, individually tailored. Huge Heart. My aunt raised dogs for show in US and Canada - and she was an emergency vet tech. I helped her with her doggies all my growing up years and learned a lot. Working on getting certified in doggy training. Have human BLS (basic Life Support for medical professionals) but also know doggy CPR and basic medical-can give shots and meds. I just have a huge heart and love to love on the doggies. Sitting same rate as boarding and sometimes easier on the doggies. I just want them to have their routines, pets, loves, favorites (if it's a walk or snuggles) - just be as anxiety free, loved on, and happy as possible while you are away. Currently my schedule is very open for all work. If this does not fill the schedule, will need to adjust around other work. But this is my current priority. If other work is needed, pets still come first and receive 150% love, care, and attention. My doggy is on the rainbow bridge. It is just me in the home. I follow the owners rules and wishes. I want to keep to their training and routines. I don't want the owner coming home to a doggy with bad habits or upset tummy. I want to keep the same diet and structure. I'm a professional, certified teacher and past hospital worker. Absolutely love to love on doggies. I have over 50 five-star reviews on airbnb and lots of other references and letters of reference I can provide you.

About: I’ve owned a dog for as long as I can remember. We have always had animals in our house since I was young. I love animals of any kind and size. If they want to cuddle I am there or if they want to go for a run I’ll grab my harness!! I am currently a part-time student and working part time as an athletic coach but your dog will always be a priority for me! When I am hanging out with your dog they will never leave my sight and we will be doing whatever is required whether that be just hanging out or going for a walk/run!

About: I have years of experience with horses, dogs, and cats. I have always had pets growing up, from small mutts to large high drive German Shepherds (currently have them!). I have knowledge of most breeds and their traits, which I believe helps you understand the pet itself. I have worked as an equine veterinary technician before for 2 years, which has exposed me to many different types of pets, big and small! I currently am self employed and run my own business. I enjoy going on walks and figured why not get a new buddy to go with me! I love animals and would much prefer hanging out with your cat, or dog than anything else really. I'll alway make time to pet that dog! (or cat, we don't play favorites. But we all know cats decide when they want to be pet. ;) ) I always put safety and comfort first. I follow each pet’s routine so they feel at ease, make sure they have fresh food and water, and keep their space calm and secure. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with love, patience, and attention.

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Mica

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,053 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Mica. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Mica. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Mica.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mica. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
