“Grettel was fantastic with our shy kitties. She slowly introduced herself to them and was eventually able to gain their trust. We loved getting all the updates from her and pics of them while we were away. She’s amazing and we’d highly recommend her to other pet parents!”

“Tiffany was absolutely wonderful. Arrived on time and kept me informed throughout the visits. My dog Bandit had a great time playing fetch with his new friend. Will definitely be my go-to whenever I need assistance.”

“Jules was wonderful with my dogs! She was reliable, caring, and made sure they were well taken care of during each drop-in visit. I felt at ease knowing they were in such good hands.”

“I'm so grateful to have had Hila looking after my cats while I was out-of-town. I knew my babies were in good hands as Hila always asked great questions and was proactive when it came to monitoring their food intake and providing feedback.”

“Kimberly took fantastic care of my cats! I have one shy cat that I thought would hide while she visited, but my kitty was out during each visit, and even played with her! I couldn't be happier, and have already re-booked her for another time while I'll be traveling. She's incredibly nice, and my cats were definitely well cared for!”

“Lexi was fabulous, Walter and Bageera were both very well taken care of and we were kept up to date the whole time. We missed our kids (pets) very much while we were gone but very confident that we left them in good hands with Lexi. NO WORRIES 😉 👍🏼”

“We simply could not have asked for better and we are so thrilled and relieved that we have found such great care for our 2 cats and one dog. We have a stretch booked with Paula for September and it gives us such peace of mind to know they will be so well cared for. Thank you Paula!”

About: I’m not here to “just stop by.” I’m here to do it properly. I notice what’s off, what’s needed, and what keeps your pet settled — and I handle it without making it a production. You get thoughtful updates, a respected home, and a pet that feels like nothing’s been disrupted. Pet care fits in cleanly — not squeezed in. I keep my schedule intentional, so when I commit to a visit, your pet gets my full attention, not whatever time is left over. I’m consistent, on time, and mindful of routines — because that’s what actually keeps pets settled. I treat your home like it’s yours — and your pet like they’re paying attention (because they are). I follow instructions closely, keep things clean and orderly, and stay aware of your pet’s behavior and environment at all times. No shortcuts, no guesswork — just attentive, reliable care so everything feels exactly as it should when you return.
About: I grew up around dogs, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve helped take care of my friends’ dogs, including Pip, whom I’ve watched since he was a puppy, and Martha, a more senior dog. I’ve handled walking, feeding, playtime, and just generally making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’m very responsible and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I take that responsibility seriously and treat every dog as if they were my own. It means a lot to me to be given the opportunity to care for your furry friend. : ) I actually just graduated from university, but I can be flexible with my schedule depending on what you and your doggie needs. If there’s a particular time that you’re looking for, feel free to let me know and we can work something out! I live in a single on campus, with a decently sized room for any small or medium sized doggies, and there is a fenced in track behind my building/apartment if they wanna just run around with me for a while.
“Elizabeth is a perfect communicator and made me feel my cat was in great hands the week I was away. I could tell from her reports that she really understood and appreciated my cat, and that they had a really nice time together. I give Elizabeth my highest recommendation, and will definitely be reaching back out to her when I'm next out of town!”

“Ale asked all the right questions and had excellent communications. She handled our two large and rowdy dogs well, and thought ahead about what they needed. Our dogs are looking forward to seeing her again. Thank you, Ale!”

About: I have been working as a vet tech for 4 years. I have quite a few clients I go to their home for nail clips and gland expressions, I been doing that for 2-3 years. I have plenty of time to care for your babies, taking time for a bit to do so. I know days you have things come up and need something asap I will be able to provide that. Anything your fur baby needs I will make sure they get just that. They will receive the same love as you give them that’s for sure.
“Paige did a great job taking care of out cats and chickens. Our cats are very shy and always hide from strangers. Paige managed to capture pictures of them despite how good our cats are at hiding. We will certainly use her again, next time we need a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs and an occasional fish. I have a passion for animals and love learning all about their different personalities and quirks! I work part time and I’m free any time after 3pm and before 9am. Also free Tuesday and Wednesdays all day! I am willing to work with anyone’s schedule as well so if you need other times feel free to reach out and I can make anything work. I love spending time with pets. Going out for walks or playing outside and just snuggling up on a couch and watching a movie together! I like when they’re always in my line of sight just to make sure no ones getting into anything they shouldn’t.
About: I’ve taken care of young puppies, energetic dogs and senior pets as well. We are an outdoorsie family and like to go for long walk and hikes with our dog. High energy pet is a no problem! Our current dog is a senior, so we have a nice accommodating environment for her and other senior pups. I’m staying home currently with a baby. I decided to start providing pet care for extra income and for interacting with other animals, as we are not a able to get more animals at this time. I have a large house with a one acre yard and an and an overhead trolley cable. There are multiple rooms where the dogs can rest and a large crate where the doggies can be if they feel safe there.
“Linda was such a wonderful sitter for my little Lulu. Usually Lu is a bit crazy after I come back from a trip and she was calm as can be. I attribute that Linda’s warm presence as much as her care.”

About: Hi there! I am a house/pet sitter with extensive experience caring for peoples pets and homes across the US. I treat your fur babies with love, care, and detailed attention. Whether your pet loves hours of play and long walks or needs some extra cuddles to soothe their anxiety while you're away, I meet every pet where they're at and make sure to put home & pet owners at ease while they're away. I have experience with drop in pet care (walks, feeding, meds, trips to the dog park, etc.) as well as long term house and pet sitting jobs. I've worked with dogs of every size and age. I also have experience with farm animals (not horses), cats, birds, and small pets. Basically, I do it all! Reach out and let me know what your needs are. I am a part-time web designer who works from home, so I am available for overnight sitting, part-time care and drop-in care! I run a pet sitting company off of Rover called Upstate Safe & Snug. I do not care for pets in my own home at this time. I am respectful, clean, and follow directions when I am working in other folks' homes. I've never had an issue.
About: I grew up in a home that always had multiple animals. Whether it was cats, dogs, fish, snakes and plenty more I was always taking care of different animals. Now as I’ve grown older the love for animals has not stopped. Dogs are really the best companions and can understand you more than some humans. The love I have for animals is truly the same love I have for family members. I’ll always make sure they are being well taken care of, fed, running freely or on walks, playing and always loved! Your dog will be treated like my own! My work schedule varies quite a bit, I may need to go into work sometimes & in that case my mother is typically home anyway. Otherwise I am home I have a fenced in area for the doggies to run freely. I have a dog of my own so I know what a dog needs and the love and attention they deserve! They can sleep wherever they’re most comfortable with at my home.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child, and neighbors, family members, and clients have relied on me to walk, feed, and supervise their pets. I have dogwalked and petsit for many different households and love caring for animals and keeping them company. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time for dogwalking and other pet caretaking needs. I can also pet and housesit on weekends if needed. For dogs, I love to take them on a stroll through the park. If you’d like, I can run with them and provide exercise activities. I can also drop by and feed your pets if need be, and I’m flexible according to your needs!
Mettacahonts pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jules was excellent! Highly recommend her. She watched our Billie Boy (cat) for several weeks. Giving us updates on him, taking great care of him! He’s a shy guy but slowly started to warm up to her. She brought in our mail, packages and even cleaned the snow off our porch!! A+++
